This item uses Lesser Moonstones, which can be used on MUCH better pieces than this. Save your Moonstones! Also, this item doesn't sell well and is hard to price properly. If you insist on making this necklace, then your best bet would be to disenchant it.

This is the only item in the game (as far as I could find) with flat damage reduction. Very good for tanks at this level, or lower level AoE paladins.

I found those very useful for AoE grinding Retradin
as well as for Prot specced tankadin too.

The Unyielding set (Epic level 70 set) carries a set bonus which reduces melee damage taken by 5.

This shows the power of the necklace, which is many levels below but with almost half the effectiveness.

The effect appears identical in nature to that of the Earthen Elixir, which I have tested and found to apply after damage reduction.

Thus it seems this too applies after armor. Consequently, a paladin or warrior would receive around half the benefit, as they have about 50% damage reduction in that level range.

If someone can test this it would be great.

this is a cool little item.. not so much for tanks but for everyone else this thing is awesome.

there are better things to be wearing around your neck though, and there especially are better things to be spending your lesser moonstones on.. moonsoul crown for example.
