Used for a new quest: A Mission of Mercy, from Commander Ameer. Leads to Ethereum Secrets.

Took me awhile to get the drop, just randomly kill mobs for it is my guess (got it from an Ethereum Nexus-Stalker).

My guess is that the drop-rate of this item is not as low as shown here on WoWHead. This is because this item is new as of patch 2.1.0, and WoWHead has been collecting data on these NPC's for 6 months plus you need to have the quest "A Mission of Mercy" active in your questlog.

So I'd guess that the actual drop-rate is around 10%.

the drop rate isnt that bad as it sounds. i got the key off the second mob i farmed.

4th mob I killed (Ethereum Nullifier) dropped it after picking up the quest.

I might have been extremely lucky, but I got the drop on my first kill of an Ethereum Avenger just East of Ameer.

You also get these as rewards from daily Heroic quests.

Got mine on my second drop on the first quest, but after 15 kills on the "get me the id tags" quest, still unlucky

oddly, I just got two drop in a row off of Zaxxis raiders... farming for the insignias and I was pleasently surprised

*edit* just got another.. their drop rate seems better than the ethreums, lol

I saw one of these drop in heroic Mana Tombs, too bad I couldn't roll on it. Seems like you need to quest to see this drop or roll on it. But I Don't know why Heroic MT isn't listed here to drop it, because one dropped in there for my group.

The ethereum jailer does in fact have a 100% drop rate for the key, IF you have the quest for it, or the chains quests that follow.

The drop rate isn't bad, but since it only drops for those with quests the posted drop rate looks awful. I got it in 4 kills.

The drop chance at this key is wrong, they maybe got around 50% on all of them

i killed like 20 ppl around there. nothing dropped. then i went 2 go get some more quests once i got a quest 2 kill ppl around there it dropped

Haha it didnt drop for me from jailor first time so i went around killing the other ones then came back 10 min later and he droped it! lol
