This weapon is a decent upgrade from the Warsong Howling Axe but it is not as good as the Sonic Spear.

I used the Warsong Howling Axe through most of Outland while leveling, then finally replaced it with the polearm for the added stamina.

What I dont get about this weapons stats is that you can ONLY get to Skettis after you have a flying mount and you can't even start the Skyguard chain until you hit 70... but Terrok's quill has better overall stats and higher DPS for a weapon you can technically get at 65.

I honestly wonder sometimes what goes through Blizzard's collective brain when they decide stats for items from quest rewards.

have you guys ever heard about using a weapon depending on the situation you're in, so i use sonic spear with savagery when raiding, but then when i start BGs or Arenas, i turn around and use Crysal Forge Axe with +35 agi. why?
Sonic gives me more AP and +hit, and the axe gives me more stam and crit, so i use weapons depending on the situation, same with gear. you guys need to L2B flexible

ok First off Terokks quill while having 54 agi and 33 stam is no where near as good as this weapon for attack power as a hunter. I mean put savagery on this bad boy and wow you got a pimp raiding weapon yeah you loose 3 stamina but who cares. Second guys comeon this is a QUEST REWARD, it does not matter what class gets it because yeah anyone who does the quest can get it, so lets stop the arguements of who's class it will benifit more, save it for Kara and Gruul's

Someone made a comment earlier that is about the only one that makes any sense. This item (and i'm only talking about as a hunter) is a crappy hunter item no matter how you enchant it. But in some situations it will really come in handy. While i'm raiding I have my hit/crit/ap gear on, and come in around 10k health. But for long boss fights I equip this plus some boots that have 94 stamina on them. This weapon plus boots brings my health brings me around 11.5k or 13.5k with CS.

When I grind, I try to wear gear with a bit more int on them and use viper to cut down on mana loss and drinking time and use my mushroom trinket.

It's the same idea of having riding gear (before the crop came out) extra gloves, spurs, and carrot.

Learn to bring different gear for different things

This weapon looks mint!
As a full epic hunter i still want this - for the look! Gonna get mongoose on it, and BANG! I got myself a cool-looking weapon to go with my other show-off/fool-around-in-IF-gear! Mongoose isnt cheap, but it is the coolest looking enchant so far!
But no, i would never use this in raids - ever. Get something with int, atp, crit, agi and mp/5sec tbh.

Stamina is only useful in arenas, in PvE stam is completly useless. Yes it might save your life if you pull agro, but you shouldn't pull agro ever. Feign Death = win. And it's well easy to find a good weapon with more then 80 atp. So, if you're a hunter and need this polearm. Go get the one from revered with HH/Thrallmar. It's pretty easy to get, and way better.

Oh wait, one last thing. If your pet can keep agro off you when you solo, you can still improve a lot by doing 5 man instances. Always try to improve, no matter how good your gear is. And listen to ppl who try to help you improve - that's the only way you learn.

honestly. quest reward. if you can train in that weapon, and like it, use it. But also, I enjoy having a variety to choose from for different situations. This will simply go into my bank for when I need it most. or find something even better.

PvE hunter, likes others have stated, i'd use more intellect stats along with agil. feign can be your best friend.

PvP (BG's) I end up using more stamina and attack power. People aren't stupid..feign only deselects you for a split second; as well, most know to go for the one in the back with a ranged weapon and ignore the pet or distract it with something else. so you need a decent melee weapon unless you have a body guard protecting you every step and are a master at trap timing and manipulation of other players weaknesses.

The stats on it are your business. For awhile I had "shaman shoulders", and i don't really care, i was in it for the intell boost and it served its purpose till i found something i liked better stat wise.

looks like the same model as the Plasma-Rat's Hyper Scythe...

Frankly, the PRHS is quite easy to get as it is a first-boss drop in Mech. It seems to drop so often that it ends of DE bait more than anything else...

umm if u look at it my warrior rapes with this thing i hit about 3100 MS last night on a rogue basicly 600 hp 80 ap = about 40+ strenght slaped savegry and i got about extra 30+ strenght so yeh this polearm is very good for new lvl 70 warriors or hunters or pallys
