Many people are already picking up on the fact the name '110G' might be a pun on the fact that it takes approximately 110 gold in mats worth to craft. However... as of the latest 2.3 Patch Build (10/19) the item now has 5 charges. The reduction in materials as noted below makes it reasonable for emergency situations although most TBC instances have repair/reagent facilities either inside or very close to the zone in portals.

It repairs and sells all reagents, poisons, vials, etc; the highest level 'vendor' quality bullets and arrows; one to two 'Super' potions; and three to five scrolls but not at any type of faction discount.

I made two of these on the 2.3 PTR tonight.

The one I deployed sold 2 healing pots, 1 mana pot and 2 Intellect V scrolls in addition to all the usual raid reagents anyone might need. (pics below) Interestingly I could not deploy the second bot even after the first one had dissapeared as it was greyed out. I got *ITEM NOT READY* whenever I tried (this lasted 25 minutes). Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

It took 20 minutes to solo farm the plan as a slow resto shammy. Overall hardly worth the mats, I'm glad I took the time to waste material on the PTR so I didnt waste them where it actually counts.

In addition to having 5 charges on the latest PTR build, the mats have changed. It now needs:

1 Adamantite Frame
1 Khorium Power Core
3 Primal Earth
8 Handfull of Fel Iron Bolts
6 Adamantite Ore

Also, I have now farmed for this schematic twice - once on the PvP PTR and once on the PvE PTR, going to the Vortex Pinnachle and killing Gan'arg Analyzers. In both cases, it took less than 20 minutes to get the schematic to drop (in one case it took only 10 minutes). If this doesn't change before the patch hits live, this will be simple for every engineer to have.

In my opinion, if you group or raid a lot, this would be recommended to get, this used to be expensive when there wasn't 5 charges to it. Now it's like 100g for 5 repair bots, can not go wrong with that. Plus it isn't hard to fly around on a epic mount and find all these mats on mining nodes, I only needed to buy one khorium bar to make 2 of these on the PTR.

As of October 29, this recipe was buffed AGAIN. Now the materials are

8 Handfuls of Fel Iron Bolts
8 Adamantite Bar
1 Khorium Power Core

On top of that, it's no longer an item with 5 charges, but instead the recipe creates a stack of 5 robots. These items are not soulbound so they can be sold, though they require 325 engineering to drop on the ground.

In case anyone is wondering how long it will take them to farm the recipe, I got mine in about 25 kills.

On top of that, there is no rep discount afaik from there bots, making it more expensive to repair with it. Seeing as there is some form of repair/reagent NPC in or right outside of every TBC raid, the only reason to use these is if you've wiped inside an instance and trash has spawned behind you.

I'm currently using this bot to skill up. Turns Yellow @ 370. Would it be safe for me to keep going? Seems cheaper then khorium scopes

Note that these aren't actually charges, but separate bots -- and they can be divided and mailed/auctioned/etc.

Cheapest way out there right now to go from 360 to 375 engineering. Turned yellow at 370, but never missed a skill-up to 375. Especially good if you're a miner!

I went into this thinking it was gonna be a pain, with a .5% drop rate. I got it first kill. Its all about luck. And about the whole 110g cost to make 1. Its a lie. I made 3 of them (15 repair bots) for about 75g, getting the mats from the auction house.

Dropped from 6th mob for me.
And also can be sold pretty nice in AH for engineers that are too lazy and do not want to farm for it.
Since it requires 325 eng skill almost every engineer can afford it after getting master engineering.

Currently the best way to get and used in the Brutallus encounter.

On some servers AH might have scrolls which are cheaper to get, that using repair bots whenever it's cooldown is up, but often this is not the case.

These do cost about 100g on my server. Thank god you get 5 of them although I still have a hard time justifying their use. Maybe a 4g donation from each player of a 25man raid but all those trade windows would probably take longer then running to the nearest repair lol

not only does it make 5 of them, but they sell reagents. good to use the old version one first, since the mats are insanely easy now, then use this for long term raids, such as TK, SSC, MH, or BT. the fact you can easily restock your reagents was a smart move by blizz. now if only you could get 10% of the money gotten when players sell/repair, it'd pwn

The materials cost is insane. Primal fire (25g) and 8 adamantite bars (16g) + couple of fel iron bars for the bolts. Ill stick to the old version, its a lot cheaper.

Ok I was shocked when I saw Median Price but then I realized recipe makes 5 at a time I still think median should be 25-30 gold at least Khorium Power cores and bars cost allot.

I recommend you to Skill eng from 365-370, because you may get an extra skill point from crafting the khorium power core.

Anyone ever wonder where the gold goes from repairs made by the repair bot? Can anyone (opposite faction or non-party members) use a repair bot once it's been dropped? Why isn't a repair bot lootable like the alarm-o-bot?

Not only is it a good way to get engineering up from 360-375 but also from 375-390 for gnomes.
