Note that if you have more than one they share cooldowns, i.e. one player cannot have more than one being "used" at a time.

Got it on my very first pledge from a Stormwind Guard.

I've also heard that if you sit there long enough and have a broken heart it will be cured, but apparently you have to have an unbestowed friendship bracelet in your inventory? Can anyone confirm this?

I grouped with someone who told me to just come click her basket any time I had a broken heart. We'd both sit there for awhile and after a minute or two the debuff would disappear and she did not give me a ring, and I did not gain a ring, so I'm fairly certain this is true, however could also be a fluke bug :)

EDIT: I sat down at a basket and not even 5 seconds later I stood up and cheered because I was cured. I'm not sure if someone snuck up and used an Unbestowed Friendship Ring on me or what but it seems to be an eery coincidence...

As I'm sure many of us know by now, If you don't remove these from the package they come in, they remain tradeable/sellable...

That said, I'm just wondering what kind of offers people have gotten for them. I've gotten 4 so far, I kept 3 for me and my alts & sold one for 40g, and I'm wondering what others have gotten...

All the regular websites like this one, thottbot & wowhead obviously have no average prices, because the item itself never actually sells...

So I wondered, what is everyone else getting on average? Was 40g good? Did I get ripped off? (Which I admit, is entirely possible, but I got impatient.)

How much have other people's baskets gone for?

I got 2 out of 7 so far. Seems like a fairly high drop rate, and they are tradeable if you leave them in the Gift of adoration.

If you have done this over 500 times your prob doing it wrong. THE VERY FIRST time you wear calogne or perfume and give ANY person with a heart over their head you will get a "Gift of Adoration". This is where you get it. BUT you can only get 1 gift of Adoration every hour. Thats why you get the debuff (more or less) that says "You have Received a Gift of Adoration" that lasts 1 hour. You CAN NOT get this from the basic presents: Gift of Frendship, that you can constently get from NPC guards and other NPC's as long as you dont have your heart broken.

I got this my very first token turn in for this season, but I don't remember it from any other V-days, so I guess it's new.

It's similar to the "Rest and Relaxation" picnic grill and umbrella, except instead of a grill there's a picnic basket and the umbrella is pink and white. Once you click the basket it makes you sit down with a buff called "Looking For Love". When another player comes and clicks the basket, they sit down too and both of you begin to eat and laugh and other stuff. A heart similar to the ones above the guards' heads also appears above both of yours.

It's a pretty kewl little thing they've added and the best part is it's permanent =D

A player "Mushuu" (Bonechewer server) is a packrat that still has all his stuff from the previous Valentine's day (February 14) in-game holiday. Upon opening the pledge of adoration gift box this week, he saw that it had been re-seeded like new, including new items that are presumably intended to be introduced this next year, including a rare permanent picnic basket and a new rocket named "Love Rocket" that makes a heart effect.

Romantic Picnic Basket: Its a permanent item, much like the card games, 3 min cooldown

I discovered this today on my Alysanna in The Scryers. She had previously a (True Silver Arrow) which spawns the Q-Peddlefeet still in the heart candy box saved for a better day, and when I looked at her inventory today, including in the valentine's gift, I noticed it was a Romantic Picnic Basket instead.

The umbrella and basket only last for 3 mins, and the item has a 3 min timer. Also, I have found no limit to who all can enjoy the basket with you. Once there are two or more people enjoying the basket, red hearts will appear over the players heads and it will give the ocasional laughing and drinking animation.

Obviously just a fun item with no last effects.

I had some of the Gift boxes left over from last year and took them with me when I transfered servers. I ended up with the Picnic basket and some love rockets.

It's just like the ones from the trading game, you can use it every 3 minutes and it lasts for 3 minutes. I dropped mine down in Stormwind and probably had 6-8+ people join me at it.

Lol I got this thingy in about 5 mins for switchin players and sending the pledges or adoration 2 my main. Note: If you do this be shure ONLY check in the gift, dont take anything out! OR YOU CANT DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH IT!

This is adorable. Sets up a picnic, and once two or more people have clicked the basket you sit with hearts over your heads with eating/drinking/laughing emotes occasionally firing off. Lot of people can join in (very cute to set up in the middle of orgrimmar).

Though it is BoP you can farm it for your main by gathering the gifts and posting them unopened (you can check them on the alt, just don't pick the basket up and bind it).

No buffs/lasting effects from this, and it lasts 3 minutes. Fun item only :)

Got 2 of these today from a gift of adoration from the vday event. One on my main, the other on my bank toon. I'm saving one for my fiancee if he is unable to get one from this event. It's bop, but you can peek inside your gift box without binding it to you, which means I can give one away to a friend. I am having more fun with the valentine's event, then I did with Xmas :)

I recieved this on my 2nd Gift of Adoration on my main...

Then opened my first Adoration gift on one of my alts and BAM! There it was again...

Got another one from my 2nd Gift of Adoration on another alt.. but I didn't open it.. just peeked in... Sent that to my BF...

And then an hour later, got another one for that alt...

I guess I'm lucky?

I still have yet to see Lovely Black Dress though..
That's the one I really want.

Well, I guess I'm lucky too! I bought some perfume and some tokens. I gave a token to Thief Catcher Shadowdelve and received my Pledge of Adoration: Ironforge - got a romantic picnic basket inside! /cheer

if u wanna give this to ure main or w/e and u get it on an alt, DO NOT LOOT IT FROM THE PACKAGE! just close it and mail it to ure char, the package is not BoP and is mailable. Good luck!

How to get picnic basket:

Go to an innkeeper in either Orgrimmar, Undercity or Thunderbluff

and buy love tokens and either perfume or cologne.

Use the cologne.

Go up to ppl with hearts above their heads and give them a love token.

Once an hour this will generate a special present (you can keep doing it but it just generates crappy quest items).

This present has a chance of being the picnic basket.

Do this on 9 or 10 alts every hour and you will get it very quickly.

When you find one, simply post it BEFORE REMOVING FROM PACKET to your main.

Voila picnic basket for you!

Got it after about 15 tries. Simply left it on my alt (I have no bag space left) for fun, or when I want to level her. Truth be told, I didn't know it existed until I found it. (By the way, if you want to do it faster, make many many many lv 1 alts for this)

About selling price. Ive sold 4 already for 100g each.
On the 1st day they were selling for 200g. I believe if you hang onto a few and sell them after the event they should be worth a bit of money.
Got lucky and looted a peddlefeet too... GG 1000g for him.

ok been farming this year for the dress cause im NOT paying 400g for it in the AH and so far

4 dresses (not for sale)
3 truesilver arrows that i know of (throw a lot of boxes out after checking for the dress) a ton of all the other misc junk

and about 20 odd baskets sold 8 gave one to my sister >_<

I have 5 characters I am farming pedlfeet on and got a tottal of maybe 10 bags and sold each 4 15g on my server its a low poppulatin so they dont sell 4 much but they sell fast. I been able to sell them almost instantly. I recomend to just make many alts and farm these they drop very often since I seem to have 33% drop rate cause I only got about 30 boxes and found 10 of these already most of witch happned in a row. I however recomend to just spend a few gold 4 them at a high lv cause 15g is a lot easier to make then spending time getting them on alts but however 100g is ridiculose so If ur gonna pay all that just make the damn alts.

Different servers will have different prices. I checked today and there still selling for 100g and within 5 mins of advertising in trade no less.

Important Q:

Does this last forever or goes away after a few months?

I ask this cos the broom I got on halloween had 14 days play time duration and it disappeared one day even though I still had 11 days played.

Also some other items that had no duration that you could get during the halloween period, all disappeared after a few months.

This has no duration but has anyone who got this last year know?

I'm guessing it's the same and would disappear after a month or two.

A noob called Forguth on Aman'thul abused me while I was selling one of these. Of course like all noobs he abused then when it was clear he was wrong he got embarrased, abused some more and then ignored. Anyway here's the letter I wrote him

"Hey mate just so you know you are totally and embarrassingly wrong. The romantic picnic basket can be traded. I can confirm this does drop from the Pledge of Adorations in TBC Classic. Got it in a box, didn't loot it, traded it to someone so they can trade it to my main. When you open it up and it contains the basket, it will confirm if you want to loot it because it will bind to you.
