In its current state, the Doomguard is near useless, so unless you really want him for the sake of having the spell, I wouldn't bother with trying to get this to drop, nor would I bother with the quest to learn the spell.

I farmed for this for 2hrs on my Lock with a mage and pally

No drop, killed about 28 dreadlords

I can not find the quest for this mentioned anywhere so I believe it does not exist.

Please prove me wrong and post up a link

farmed about 10 doomguard commanders with 12x level 70's. no drop :-(

Killed about 100 Dreadlords and 10 or so Commanders and still no Grim of Doom :<

dropped by the stronger demons in the blasted lands, probably. It teaches Warlocks their Ritual of Doom spell.

To start the quest for your Ritual of Doom which allows you to summon Pet - Doomguard. However as it requires drops from Dire Maul, an instance unavailable until Phase 1.5 of WoW Classic, this pet is not available at launch.

To get started, head to Blasted Lands and speak with Daio the Decrepit. He is located in the northern part of The Tainted Scar and will give you the quest The Prison's Bindings which requires you to bring him 15x Satyr Blood.

Begins a ritual that sacrifices a random participant to summon a doomguard. The doomguard must be immediately enslaved or it will attack the ritual participants. Requires the caster and 4 additional party members to complete the ritual. In order to participate, all players must right-click the portal and not move until the ritual is complete.
