I think it's better because it's a device and thus reusable, but not positive.

It is not completely reusable, it has only 8 charges.

If I could get 8 charges with fewer materials, great. But as it is, this seems useless to me. Even if it's on a different timer than bombs, and thus can be used along with a bomb, it's still too weak to be worth all those materials

I just worked my butt off to get this item, and it isn't a mortar in the shoot a bomb a good distance away, it's just like any other hand held bomb, except with a much closer range. If this goes farter than 10ft I'd be surprised. Not worth the effort imho

I just picked this up to check it out.

It does not have a cast time, but you still can't use it on the run (don't know if that's a bug). The range is extremly close... so it's only benefit is that you'll hit immediately.

its realy usefull since its instant cast/stun.
very usefull for my lock against rouges because i just cant fear them (without my coil cd)

Out of experience trust me on this one. In WSG when you have the flag and your about to be attacked by multiple guys or a bunch of rogues attack you just whip this out. the stun ability is realy good.

any melee comes close and u pull this little button then cast a lightning bolt :D with stomp/ns/firenovatotem it gets kinda nasty

it has a much larger range then the bronze bomb, And realy funny to fire in pvp ^^
