Thotbot, you may want to add a colom that say H/A/HA so we know with out have to lokk it up and all.

Does it depend on who you learn cooking from?

My Undead Mage doesn't have it.

But i know when my troll shamman learned her cooking from Orgrimmar she got it.

If you're like me you were looking for the recipe as one of the last items he sells. It is actually on the first page. It's not a rare recipe so it should be available to you even at level 60.

yes you do have to remain seated while eating, even though the item does not specify that you do. only usable out of combat. so this does not act like a renew or rejuv from priests/druids. :(

I looked to comments here when I decided to try to find this recipe, and found none useful except for the hint that its in Razor Hill, so I figured I'd give some omitted information.

Where To Find The Recipe
The recipe is sold at Razor Hill in Durotar by Grimtak. Grimtak is found at location 51, 42. If you do not have a location add-on, go to the center of Razor Hill. Run as though you are leaving Razor Hill heading west. He is there on the right; he is a butcher. The recipe is found on the first page of his wares. It is in the middle jumbled up with all of his other wares, and I almost didn't see it. I imagine that is why these other people say he wasn't selling it; they just overlooked it.

Scorpid Stingers
I tried killing both the level 9-10 scorpids near the entrance to Orgimmar and the level 5-6 scorpids outside Razor Hill. I've found that the level 5-6 Clatterings Scorpids drop scorpid stingers one out of every two kills, which was a much higher drop rate than the higher level Scorpids. These scorpids can be found southeast of Razor Hill, between Razor Hill and Tiragarde Keep. There are a lot of them there; I was able to get 17 stingers in a matter of minutes to go with the 3 I got from the higher level scorpids in the same amount of time.

hmmm..so it can poison you. lol after 9 months, I finally know. I remember when I tried this, I even watched my combat log to make sure I wasn't resisting any, so the proc rate on the poison must be very low. but I was just wondering, after all this time I just realized it says "heals for 294 over 21 seconds,assuming you don't bite down on a poison sac." But unlike ALL other food in game, it does not say you have to remain seated while eating. This is in fact written like a health potion, not food. I wonder if that is the case, that you can just pop this in a fight and get a HoT (heal over time) buff like a Druid's Regrowth or a Priest's Renew.

Got Scorpid Poison off my second surprise. Damages you with 10 nature damage per second for 20 seconds. You still get healed from eating, so you can just keep eating and still get healed

heals 14 health per second for 21 seconds. it is the best food of its class because of its health/time ratio. u get the most health the fastest with these, however there is the chance to get poisoned i was curious what it was, since i just got this recipe. i ate 11 meals, each for the full 21 seconds, incase there was a chance for it to proc at each tick, such as the example improved Mend Pet, that has a 50% chance to heal hunters pet of poison every tick, instead of just at the beginning when you start eating. i ate all 11 and didn't get poisoned once so maybe this doesn't really poison you, they just added the text for a little humor.

I was able to get a horde from my server to post the recipe for Scorpid Surprise on the neutral auction house, I farmed the mats for 300x Scorpid Surprise with my main from level six scorpions in Durotaur, only to realize that apparently, Scorpid Surprise does not "work" in Classic.

I have tried hundreds of food uses on my Alliance toon, and I have never once been inflicted with Scorpid Poison. Disappointing. Hope Blizzard fixes it but I haven't seen them in the habit of fixing small bugs like this in Classic yet.
