Today I went to go get this quest.

Grub (east of XR) was not giving this quest.

Anyone know how to get this quest? Who is the quest giver, where he lives, if it is now part of a series?

I asked a GM today, and he said that the quest was still in the game.

I know the dig rats are still dropping in the dig area, so he is probably right.

The Dig Rats are in Razorfen Downs. To get there head south on the road from Camp Taurajo until you see the mining pit off on your left. Just kill the rats and take their skins.

This is great if you want to raise you cooking skill from 90 and higher. First just get the quest that gives the recipy, go to the dig site and kill all the rats. If you are high level you can easily ignore all dwarfs and just kill the rats in the order north to south. After killing the last rat just wait 30secs and the first one will spawn again.

Get lots of rats (20+) and go and cache in the quest (ie. get the recipy). Takes about 10-20 minutes and gives you lots of cooking skill easily.

You can find Dig Rats at the keep just above the dig site.

Yep above post is correct. Kill 3 rats in the mine basin area. Then ride up to the dwarf castle. There will be 2 rats on either side of the castle. Kill one going in and one going out. Head inside and do a full rotation of the castle, top to bottom. You will find around 6 ratties. To head to the basin again, jump off cliff (but not too high, go down a little).
