This item used to be a "Deepstrider Tumor"; when the quest "Nothing But The Truth" was redesigned, it was renamed to Green Whelp Blood and moved from Desolace to the Swamp of Sorrows.

Plan was finding him after doing The Corruptor, but i was lucky: ran in to him in Manoroc Covern.

As of a new patch, the quest has been changed. It went from making the drop-rate of tumor higher to now, changing the quest completely.
The Green Whelp blood drops from whelps right in SoS. South-West Corner Near Itharius' Cave.

Deepstrider Giant drop:
Deepstrider Tumor 0.25% (3 in 1220)
Deepstrider Searcher drop:
Deepstrider Tumor 0.36% (4 in 1112)

What can we do and search...

Was with another player and split searched Desolace, found 2 within 15 minutes and the second had the tumor. Maybe they tweaked the drop rate after the updates.

I finally got one after (exactly) three weeks of trying... killing 4 to 6 (average) per day.

Something is very confusing here. The blood drops off the green whelps in the Swamp of Sorrows; what does it have to do with the giants in Desolace?

It is stupidly hard to find these, I have been looking for 45 minutes, found 1 deepstrider with no tumor drop.

I solo'ed the giant at lvl 42 and the first i killed dropped the tumor.

My seach continues, probably about 3 hours now. Killed 4 deepstriders, not a single drop.

Mob was lvl 42 elite, solo'd as warlock, fearable.
