These fishes aren't needed for anything. They are just rare (and big!) fishes which can be held in off-hand.

Got one out of the Cliffspring River in Darkshore. Equipped it just to see what it looked like since it didn't say that it was BoE. Tried to sell on AH and couldn't. It said it had "used charges." :( I don't seem to be able to sell it to a vendor either.

Yep, caught it in Orgrimmar. About ten minutes after I caught "Old Crafty". Absolutely no use except to hold in that off-hand and remark about it's weight. 19 Pounds. Really? Really.

i caught this in orgrimmar whilst i was fishing lvl 20!
had no idea of its worth so was happy to sell for 50s. should i have asked for more?

I caught a 22 pounder in the main lake in Darnassus last week. Walked around for a few days trying to figure out what to do with it until I needed room in my backpack and banked it.

Maybe I'll sell it... or feed it to my nightstalker :)

I wish I could stuff it and hang it somewhere.

I caught this one while leveling my fishing skills in the valley of honor in Orgrimmar, and now that i tried to sell it no merchant wants to take it off of me. So i tried the AH and got the message that i couldn't sell it coz of the 'charges' were used..!
Charges? I got to say i'm a bit puzzled. ;P

I just caught one of these and I couldn't sell it to a vendor. I got an error message "vendor does not want that item." When I tried to auction the thing I got "can't auction item with used charges." I didn't equip the item at all. What gives? Is this a bug or the new way to nerf an item?

By the way, my new alt with a 6 in fishing skill caught one of these in Orgrimmar near the fishing trainer. They must not be hard to catch if a lvl 9 can get one with only a 6 in fishing skill. It's not just luck either. I think evey one of my characters has caught one at one time or other.

I was fishing off a dock in lakeshire, if you pull up your map it is the 1 farthest to the left. Anyway I was trying to to the Spotted Sunfish quest and after about 10 attempts I caught a 19 pounder, around 8 tries later I already had another 1, how rare can they be? Anyway, there is alot of debate on what they are worth, could I get some opinions on what they are worth on AH?

I was fishing in the Stormwind canals with my Mage alt to begin leveling up my fishing and I catched this fish when my fishing skill was only at 5!

My friend was practicing fishing too with his alts (we both made alts together) and he was bragging to me earlier that he caught the 10 Pound Mud Snapper with his fishing at 30 or so. Now that I have shown him my bigger and more awesome fish, he doesn't want to have anything to do with me.

i just caught this farming deviate fish inside Wailing Caverns, atop of a rock in the very long and shallow pond.

this is not a lvl 15 item i caught the fish in two seconds at darnassus and my fishing lvl was 3! Then i asked what it was and every1 said it was nothing special. im using it now on my lvl 10 hunter. im gunna auction it for 20g and see if i get lucky but i doubt some1 will buy.

The StarWars Glaxay MMOPRG, that SOE has so ruined, did have a nice feature that allowed hanging stuffed fish on your wall. Blizzard would have to let us have our own walls first.

Why would you want to hold a 19 pound catfish in your off hand - it's just strange.

Maybe the smell coming from it acts to drive away attackers ;)
