These have a 25% chance of failure, so it is reasonably successful.

Very useful when the priest dies and a player manages to escape, by stealth or feigh death etc. It can also simply save a person a long journey - it is nice to ressurect!
However, do not treat it as a ressurection spell as such.

Heheh, these cables are fun, sometimes they work, sometimes they dont and you never know if they will or not =) A good way for a non-healer to res other people! But only engineers can use them and it has a long cooldown.

Cannot get them to work on lvl 60+
No error message and out of 10 tries only noticeable effect was 1 of the times was shocked for 50dmg.

Unfortunately have only had to chance to try them on lvl 60+

Requires these raw materials:

-6x Iron Bar
-2x Copper Bar + 2x Tin Bar = 4x Bronze Bar + 2x Woolen Cloth =2x Whirring Bronze Gizmo
- 2x Flask of Oil
- 2x Silk Cloth
- 2x Shadowgem
- 1x Fused Wiring and 6x Copper Bar turned by any Jewelcrafter to 3x Delicate Copper Wire.

So-

But You will do better if you drop Fused Wirring instead of creating it.

Oddly these are not BoP. I noticed when I was dropping Engineering from one of my characters and training it up on another. In the unusual circumstances that you have two non-rezzer engineers in your party I guess you have a second chance if the the first jolt doesn't work.

These work a surprising amount of the time for me judging from other peoples coments. It's funny when people ask me how a warrior managed to ressurect, my response is always the same, "Through the sheer force of will I can pull the spirits of the deceased back to their corpses!".

I usually have to destroy about 6-7 Target Dummies before I can loot fused wiring from them. Out of 12 attempts (OB patch) these worked 3 times, so we are talking probably 20-25% success rate estimated.

On a good attempt - the target is rezzed with no sickness and you can use them again in 30 min.

On a failed attempt - the item simply breaks and you can loot 2 or 3 components back from it (I never got fused wiring back though heh).

These are not day-to-day usage really, strictly situational. I burn a bag slot with these whenever I enter an instance. If we are close to the boss and the party wipes and I rez our priest - the party goes nuts lol. Don't get your hopes up, they aren't meant to give everyone with Engineering the ability to rez, but when they do work in that one situation - it's damn nice.

The basic goblin jumpercables can be made and used by any eng with high enough skill. The XL version can only be made by Goblin Engs but can still be used by any eng w/ high enough skill.

I'm with you,I'm a rogue and even without the Xl cables I've had about 90% success rate at lvl 60. Prior to 60 i did little intance runs and therefor rarely used them normally to poor result. But since 60 they have worked everytime and each time saving our party from a wipe in an instance. Maybe the success depends on lvl or Engineering skill? Not sure but I love mine and would recommend for any hunter/rogue or any others that can survive a near party wipe.

Did they disappear? Don't worry, they're not gone! They are in your trinket slot. Press C and look on your paper doll in the trinket slots, and you should find them.

(This happened to me before, and I was completely freaked out too.)

These do NOT require Goblin Engineering, neither do the XL Jumper Cables, they are General Engineering.

Indeed, like the guy above said, they no longer break. I just tried out mine for the first time, and they didn't work, now there's just that 30 min cooldown on them. As for a consequence, the only one I have found is that you have to wait for the cooldown before you can try again. I didn't get shocked, checked my combat log for it, and the jumper cables are still in working order.

EDIT: Ok, i've been using mine for quite a while now, and they have been EXTREMELY helpful. The success rate is low, but i've been lucky and they happen to work those times you just really really need it to work (respawns in the instance and you'd have to practically do the instance over). Also i've found out that the guy above was partly correct with the shock. I've seen three different things happen while using these.
1. Some sparks in your hands, nothing much really.
2. Sparks the person's body, doesn't neccessarily mean that they worked.
3. A shock that blows you back onto the ground and damages you for a little bit.

The place that i got these was not in duskwood, but Hillsbrad Foothills. There is a goblin that walks around on the pathways. He's easy to find with his Robot bodyguard. This item can be very useful throughout the game. Just buy most of the ingredients for it and there you have it!

I've tried them out about 7 times now, no luck. I was wondering if it matters if the person released before trying them? I've heard it doesn't make a difference but im looking for a chance to make these worthwhile.

Ive tried to use these and only once they worked and failed. I try to select teh body of a party memeber thats dead and it wont show me there portart. When I select the cables then click body nothign happens. and btwthey are equipted

Just as a tip for those of you that think theyre gone...Theres only like 1 or 2 per day at each vendor meaning if someone buys it you have to wait till it respawns at the vendor.

Is there a manual for this? I want my 19 rogue past 150 engineering but i cant find it. I could get my first aid too 225 and purchase heavy runecloth bandages from AH. My first aid was at 150 but I upgraded from 150 to 225. I did it with books and manuals. can anyone help please? I will be very thankful.

yep, zixil "merchant supreme" sells theses as well as the guuy in DW. i keep my lvl 30 mage in hillsbrad and his HS ot SS. i go once and a while looking for him at the tower and TM. if he's not htere i HS to SS and he's usually there. i have 24 and counting on me as of now.

walking on road:3

the schematic is available for purcase from a gnome seller on the path from redridge to darkshire just look on the left side if you are headed to redridge right if your headed to darkshire

hehe very nice device, simple to use, easy to make thanks to AH, and most important thing is that it can bring u alive and help avoid wipes. imagine if the full group or raid has one per character :)

these are great! we were doin kara and on prince , two of our three healers died so i invisibled and used these on a healer. we ended up killing him and i got the dagger :)

this also works well with mages when theres a wipe. Just use invisibility and wait 20 sec and rez ur healer! Happy enginering:)

I was just curious if you could possible equip 2 of these at once, seeing as they are not unique i see no problem, although would the cooldown effect both of them?

yes you can equip both, but when you use one the other will be on cooldown as well =(

seem to have about a 1/3 chance of working for me. no body explosions, just the occasional 50 hp zap to myself. can't wait to use the XL's

These are also good for warlocks that revive themself with soulstone, although you could just cast soulstone buff on class that can revive, but people wont wait for mobs to leave before they hit the butten.

I used this few times, very great item. you can use it in wipes or just 2 person groups where your friend died. When it fails it'll explode and leave you a few parts, including the fused wiring. I only had it explode once on me and it saved the wire. the other regeants are all easy to get so as long as it always saves the fused wiring i'll make it again, im hoping thats how it works.

rogue with vanish and hunter with fd have to be best uses of the item, wipe aggro then revive.

you should also note that it isnt always sucess or boom, this device can fail and NOT explode, they did that to me last time i used them, didnt work but didnt explode, so dont expect that it worked just because it didnt explode. if that is wrong then has to be another reason why it didnt work.

The Facts:

*jumper cables bring people to life
*they have a better success rate if the rez-ee does not release spirit
*they can be made by engineers at lvl 165, and ONLY through a schematic.
*fused wiring can be found in AH(for around 10g) or through destroying a broken Basic Target Dummy(10% drop rate)
*flasks of oil can be found in the AH(around 50s), or by killing mobs(the westfall mechs are a good choice)
*Since the last patch, these cables DO NOT explode if they fail

My Experience:

I have had them for about a week now, and as an instance runner, they are unfriggin believable. I have used them 5 times and have had successes 5 times. Everytime Ive used them the person Im rezing has NOT RELEASED SPIRIT! Pretty much if I'm 5 for 5, don't release spirit, and good luck. Rezing priests as a Rogue is kick ass.. hehe..

what happens if body explodes? do they still get to ressurect at their body like normal after the run back?

I'm a lvl 60 hunter (not high enough engineering for the XL ones) and these things rarely work for me. I did a DM North run the other night, was my guilds first time going through it, The preist died 2 times without a soulstone and the cables failed to work both times. They seem to only work 25% of the time for me.

I'll relate a story here. I had a set of these jumper cables and my party got wiped except me. Being a hunter, I feigned death with the intent of shocking our shaman back to life. I selected his body, right-clicked the jumper cables and they vanshed. The jumper cables icon disappeared from my inventory, replaced by nothing at all. Not broken jumper cables, not parts, nothing. There wasn't even a visual or sound effect. Just click-gone. The shaman didn't get a rez, I didn't take any damage, there was no text declaring my use of the item. But it was definitely gone. Considering that the ingredients to make a single set of these aren't exactly common makes it kind of a slap in the face when they just utterly fail like this. I mean, I was prepared for the eventuality of them exploding. I was fine with risking that chance, since it was the only hope my party had at the time. But just -nothing-? It was my first and, so far, only experience with this item, and it was very anticlimactic.

I realize it takes a 165 in Engineering to make them, but can they be given to and used by someone without any skill in Engineering?

after using this device many times since last post, i can say it ussualy ALWAYS fails, rarely explodes, and rarely works. the good thing though, is that it always saves the fused wiring, and doesnt require anvil to make, so if you carry around stack of iron bars/shadowgems/cloth/etc, you can make replacement right in the field, and actualy try to revive again! when it explodes and you remake, the timer resets, so you can try to revive the same person yet again. if it fails or works, you get the 30min reuse timer. it often just fails, but the chance is nice, over no chance at all, i always carry these around, along with set of regeants to make one in the field if they ever explode.

remember though that you cannot revive with cables once person has released spirit, tell them not too, if you want to try, dont bother if they release, wont work.

I'm not sure if it's my level or the ammount of times I use them, but these we're around a 1/3rd chance at around lvl 40. After using them hundreds of times and getting to 60 the rate seems to be around 3/4, this is after a months worth of trying, around 200 times, anybody seeing the same?
Dunno, maybe it's just a new patch (Now 8.4), but these work ALOT better than they did

I bet, with my luck, they'll blow up every time! Nehehehe... I love Engineers, can't stay away from explosives, no matter what they're making. :P
Who needs a Priest? Just bring an Engineer with a set of these! :P (Don't blame me if you follow my suggestion and then die in an instance becuase you had an Engineer trying to raise, rather than a Priest, Shaman, Paladin, or even Druid)...

I've been a bit dissapointed with these thus far. Went engineering with my rogue just to get these. As mentioned below, they "should" be great coupled with vanish. Problem is, the success rate is really disgusting. Failed the last 6 attempts and had them blow up on me on the 7th. Understandably, they shouldn't work all the time... but I'm not seeing when benefit of engineering ( yet ) when they "never" work. <shrug>
