This is the best caster stat item that doesn't cost 50g from the ah until princess in mara. It's definately worth getting for any class with mana, not just mage/lock/priest.

She's in the Cathedral, and appears after you kill the big guy at the end.

I have done cathedral about 10 times and still don't have amulet....

This is insane, I mean I got outrolled by a priest and a druid and that was ok, but half the time i am getting outrolled by WARRIORS!

Once a lvl 60 hunter that was helping even outrolled me.... OMG

As for warriors, I don't care if you want it since you don't have an amulet yet, just get the amulet from the RFD quest reward if you need one so badly that you need to steal this from casters....

The only time this showed up was when I was with a 56 paladin in my group. The pally allowed me to have it after showing me that she was /still/ wearing the necklace at her level.

It must be quite good if it lasted her from 39 to 56+?

i got illusionary rod, necklace, amulate, sholders, and hyptnotic blade all in one day.. along with several greens. my entire character weras stuff from this place, cept belt and rings.

dropped with a guildies run was jus doing it for XP and to get Bonebiter and this dropped. Rolled against rouge and she won. oh well, it would have been nice but idc bc she is a guilde

this uber low level CASTER neck dropped for me last week in SM, the priest and me (warlock) rolled need, i thought ok, only 2 casters so 1/2 i win,
But then,... a stupid ROQUE also seem to have need-rolled and even won the roll.
Best part still coming...
i asked why he rolled, he told me roques need int for weapon skill ( yea, skill takes very long to upgrade with 2 daggers at 1.3 speed :/)and the sta, spi was offcourse amazing.
I was more then pissed at thtat moment but ok, i tried to calm down.
Then 5 mins later i inspected him and because he had still his (better!) green neck (with +6agi, +6sta) equiped i asked again why he didn't equip the neck. Then HE called ME a NOOB because he was only lvl37 and the neck requires 39 to equip, lol

I got this amulet my first time through. I just got lucky and won the roll against another caster. I've ran the cathedral 3 more times since then and I haven't seen it drop any of those times.

Here's my advice for classes that roll on any item they do not need: put their name on your shizz list. Seriously, keep a list of names of inconsiderate players, and in the future always consult that list when getting with a group in an instance. If I'm aware of some jerk in the group I won't run with them. Period.

while it's very good for casters, it's also one of the best things at that level for hybrids, paladins, shamans, druids.
my paladin wore it till 60 simply because he couldn't find anything blatently superior to it,
replaced it with the Star of Mystaria https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=14039
pre-1.10 when it had +7(?)agil instead of magic hit.

now I get the triune for all my characters

I've already ran the cathedral 10 times and it was only droped at the fifth run and I lost the roll agains a priest. So i don't know if i'm so unlucky or this 30% is false.

Not everyones drops / kills get calculated in Thottbots databse ( think you need a special program) so the 30% might actually be 5%

Everything on this dropped and % chance to drop is false, exept what drops from what ofc...

You shouldn't trust on Thottbots calculated % drop chance for items.

I went tonight as a lvl 41 priest with 2 locks (39 and 36) a pally and a war. the pally, 2 locks and I rolled and the lowest lock won the roll...now I think it's dumb if you roll and are too low to use the item and it's SM so you'll be running it quite a bit. That pissed me off totally. Not to mention that no one knowed how to play their class. I was upset.

Dumbass rogues and warriors shouldnt roll need on this. They have a little use for the int and stam, and they have no use for spirit. Sure...roll greed or take it if no one needs it in ur group, but if theres a caster in the group, then pass or at least roll greed! my lv 36 lock rolled need on this, a priest rolled need, sure whatever, but a gayass rogue rolled need on it... fortunately, he didnt win the priest did. He starts getting in this fit about how gay we all are, and calling me and the priest f'ing ninjas, we and say u have no use for it, and he just gets pissed off calls us newbs and leaves the group...

If a rogue or warrior hits need when there is a caster or atleast several casters in the group that obviously need it, I think it's at the very least inconsiderate. Sure, everyone could use stamina, but Intellect for a warrior and rogue? Use some empathy and figure out a way to get a necklace that suits your stats a little better than this triune amulet.

so sick of ppls rolling need on things not really made for their class... gave up on grps and brought my alt (mage) with my main (warrior) kill everything and everyone with my warrior and gave my little mage lots of good stuff :)

great neckless for custers and whoever needs sprit, intellect and stamina!

Ok, first you kill the guy then he summons her, she rezes him. Second, she is almost dead, he throws a shield on her, she heals. then, you kill her,and then you kill him. Then you loot and MABEY the Necklace will drop. ( both 42 Elites )

Drop rate percentages are like dice rolls...

If you roll a D20 100 times you have a 20% chance of rolling a natural 20. It's just a chance. You could roll that D20 1000 times and never get a natural 20. It doesn't change the percentage chance of you rolling a 20, it just means you were unlucky.

The same goes for boss drops in WoW. There is a 30% chance of this item droping EACH time you enter the instance. That means a 70% chance of something else dropping. If it doesn't drop for you, sorry about your luck, but you have to just keep trying if you really want it.

I've run SM: Cath about 10 times and I've seen it drop once. I was playing a hunter, so I greeded while the cloth casters needed. This brings me to another point I've seen here.

I feel everyone has the right to greed. So Warriors, Rogues and high lvl toons greed away. Casters however, this is a great item for you! Whether you're high enough to use it or not, go ahead and need it if you want it. You never know when it will show up again. Just be considerate and give priority to cloth wearers, holy pallies, restoration druids and shammies.

Hint: if no one want/needs it and there is an enchanter in the group, let them have it. Then roll to see who gets the disenchanted stuff.

i was wearing this thing till lvl 62 ^^ i don't raid much and now i got a beauty neck off a quest in zangarmarsh. Pendant of the Marsh. exactly same stats but higher and + dmg quite neato :P

Ran monastery last night. Got illusionary rod, and finished mage quest for wand. Came back to run this wing and Triune drops. I figured it had to be my lucky night. I was only caster left, aside from higher lvl pally helping us out. He didnt want it. (Warrior, Rogue, pally me -mage-)

Rogue need rolls.
Rogue wins over me. WTF!

Granted, I had gotten the rod, but what does that rogue need this neck for? Pally and warrior didnt even notice he rolled until well after. I couldnt believe it. Didn't think Master Loot was necessary at this lvl, but damn...

Amazing that rogues are so often ninjas. Guess it goes with their class narrative.

OK I calmed down till now and I'm deleting the post. Still why is it so often hunters that need on everything?

Because a hunter can argue (and they are kind of right, but consider who would get the biggest bonus from an item) that they have a use for every stat.

Hunters should not need this if there is a clothie or any caster in the group, unless they ASK. If you want something that someone else wants, talk to them first! I mean, BoP items have about a year for you to roll on.

I personally think that the Necklace of Calisea is better, even though it only gives you a +1 STAM.

AND, you can use this a level before the Triune.

But, Calisea is harder to find..i think.

Go for Triune, the drop rate is better.

Ran cath 3 times. Chap and shield dropped 2 times in a row. The last run the Chap and this lovely neckpiece dropped. Lost the roll to another mage in the group. Can't complain since she needs the mana for sure because she is like 2 levels higher than me and I nearly have 2 times her mana. Will just run this again and again til I find it.

Ran through SM first time today and necklace dropped. Sweet, won on roll vs. another mage. No hat though but did pick up some nice shoulders as well. I've been fortunate on my instances, first run in SFK got both the Feline Mantle and the Robes of Arugal :)

In my first Scarlet Monastery run, this dropped with Whitemane's Chapeau and the group let me have both items. This is a very strong and balanced 7/7/7 necklace and a fairly frequent drop. This and the Chapeau are an incentive for every cloth wearing class to run the Monastery.

Ive ran SM 5 times and ive had the hat drop 4 times, and the mace drop once i won the mace dissed it and got a large radiance shard so i cant complain :), still i want the amulet :(.

lol the bosses were losers...mace and amulet dropped...as a pally i won mace we had sum caster and i thought they needed the amulet and i didnt roll.After the rouge DE the thing i then found thst all 3 casters had amulet!>:(

one of my friends got hacked and needed something good, so our group ran him (we all had good stuff) when he was set up this dropped and he said i could roll... well i got it =D although he (being a 62 hunter) could always get some pvp gear

I just did first sm run and got it!. Perfect for a warlock. I passed on everything else that dropped and greeded on the amulet cause it was 3 levels higher than me and still got it. I will be wearing it in the battle grounds. Fear me, horde.

I ran through about 20 times and it dropped twice
and I lost the 1st time and then at about the 20th time I won it
