im in skinning prof and i find more medium hide in wetlands then i find light hide everywhere else. where is the best palce to get light hide?

keep out of silverpine, and most of the barrens. you will mostl likely get better drops inside Wailing Caverns , or around the Southern Barrens.

I found on Bloodmyst Isle the Grizzled Brown Bears dropped a Light Hide about every 5-7 skinnings, the Elder Brown Bears tended to drop Medium Hides about ever 5-8 skinnings,

My skinning is currently at 155 @level 23.

yeah. My skinning is over 100 and i need the medium hides. I'm in elwynn forest and almost every monster that you are able to skin, has a light hide.

Cured Light Hides are used in making Embossed leather items.

Have found this one several times on different animals by skinning them. Because I couldn't use it in lower levels of my leatherwork I sold them, but that was stupid. I need it now and I can hardly find them...
So advice; store light hides in your bank if you can't use them yet. I now have some medium hides and thick hides wich I can't use but I save them for later leatherwork levels.

WOW! i was killin the thunderlizards between camp T and the crossroads just grinding and every 5 kills or so, one of these things dropped! i was so happy i had enough to get my LW up to make my deviate scale belt :)

Is there acctually anything you can do with hides? so far I havent found a single thing to do with them besides from curing them... And from my experience can you find hides on most creatures fairly random although they have to bebigger then a rabbot or simmilar not in lvl just in apperent size.

I have yet to see a single piece of this in the wild.. broke down and bought 3 at an auction..

Can tihs be skinned off of an animal? Can you only skin it off of animals above a certain level? Is it only bears it can be skinned off of?

I'm just trying to figure out where I need to be to get these! Although I would probably be abe to figure it out by continuing to level...But any help would be appreciated all the same. Thanks in advance. ^_^

I've been skinning these from Moonrage Darkrunner and Grizzly bears in Silverpine forest. I'm sure they can be skinned from more mobs but those are the only two I've getten it from so far. Also I have lv75 skinning so I think I'll raise the cap so I can level it more maybe giving me a better chance of getting it.

My skinning is 105 right now, and I have yet to skin one of these from anything. The best I have gotten so far is 2 light leathers fom one skinning.

Light Hides are used to make Cure Light Hide (by adding salt). This is for the leather armor profession. It is a very rare drop, at least at my current lvl (14). If you are a Night Elf I have found success heading south Auderine in Darkshore, there hunt Fledging (big birds) or Moonstalkers that are lvl 12 or above. It seems the higher the lvl the more likely they will drop. Those are this is still rare (out of 100 I get 2 or 3).
