If you take the back entrence he is right through the door.

Its at about 61,46. There are some lower 40s elites guarding it. (the stonevault guys)

No one mentioned the real area the cave entrance is in, its in Dustwind Gulch to the east, against the hill...

If you are Horde just go East from Kargath until you reach the Dustwind Gulch. From there go South-East a bit util you see a hill covered with Troggs. This is the back door. You'll enter the cave on the hill, fight your way down a tunnel and then the instance entrance is there. This is useful for the Power Source part of the necklace quest as well as finding the Enchanter Trainer.

If you are Alliance take the path south from Loch Modan, past the Uldaman front entrance, until there is no more path and just desert. From there go east,south east. Locate Dustwind Gulch and your hill full of troggs.

Are there two quests that require the same power source? Because I have done one---and have a quest from tabatha to also get it. Is is the same quest. I have ben in there 4 times and have killed the obsidian and cannot loot the power source again. I am getting frustrated. sjhould I just abandon the 2nd quest from Tabatha? I mean is it possible to pick up the same quest from different sources?

For those of you in classic, this mob is easily soloable from the rear entrance.

1. Path him back and forth by leaping onto the small dirt cliff directly in front of the rear dungeon entrance and just kite him back and forth while he runs around on the wall. You can jump onto the little dirt cliff if you hug right against the stone wall and the dirt hill.

2 Break him into smaller bits until you can't handle him, zone out, zone back in and repeat. Every time he breaks off a shard he doesn't fully reset and he will become weaker and weaker until you can finish him off.
