This is really a very nice twink weapon for Warsong Gulch, but you should have an alternative character, a friendly guildmate, or someone willing to buy something expensive get this, since it costs a lot and this type of money isn't typically available at 19! The only drawback to the weapon is that the speed is high enough that faster classes in PvP (rogues in particular) can hurt you badly before you get too many hits in.

There are people who would say this isn't worth the time and that there are better weapons for twinks, but this one's worked well for my Hunter alt.

My hunter twink uses this, I hit very hard in melee and can crit for 300. It's a good hunter wep since you shouldn't be in combat much so you can get in a good hit with the staff and then keep kiting. Throw 25 agil on it and you'll have a great 19 twink hunter wep.

If you are twinking a priest or warlock in the 19 bracket, I highly suggest the Witching Stave. It's much easier to attain and has +shadow damage in all the right spots.

Wowhead's average buyout price is a little far fetched in high pop realms like illidan. I barley made 20g off it by selling it directly to a player but I've seen it on AH for about 30-35g

I bought it for 15g (definitely too cheap) and sold it for 35g which is about the median price on my server. A lot of Hunters don't seem to realize how good this weapon is for them. And as a Clothie, you cannot really go wrong with it, even though there are more specialized staves at this level.

This dropped for my lvl 54 hunter while farming Light Feather (don't ask) from harpies in Stonetalon Mountains. Been trying to sell it since, but no luck. Have seen them go for 100g before, but no-one is taking the bait with it at a mere 48g. Grrr.

I would almost rather Staff of the blessed sear since it only has 2 less shadow damage but will benifit your smite's and heals too.

A Good twink hunter weapon but it's quite hard to get. I found it myself in a chest. Sell it for like 80g there's many twinks that wants it.

This dropped on me doing the quest "Gann's reclimation"

In southern Barrens north of thousand needles... Absolutly blows away any other staff I have seen in it's level group. I can't find anything close to it at the auctions

I can't believe it dropped on me, especially since I am only lv 22, over 2x as good as my previous Staff

well i found it in stocks and i equipeted it before i thought about it (im a mage) these things r only good for twinks and junk just sell it in AH. ive seen 1 in there for like 40-60g thats alot better then this staff.. its like only a couple more stats then emberstone staff so yah only twinks should be buying it really..

I figured I would post that this dropped for me today in Durnhold Keep. I didn't notice that it had ever dropped there before and seems to be a truly random, rare, world drop.

I don't need it, but I'm as greedy as everyone else and will try to get maximum dollar for it on the Duskwood server.

To the person who asked what to class to twink with this staff, I'd say mage or hunter, Warlocks use as it has 11+ stadow damage on it.

Great staff, have sold many on the AH for 60+g, normaly buy them for half that price

This staff is so much better than my others, I put spellpower on it (Mage btw) Fire ball crit 309 , followed by a 238 crit of fireblast, it was insane, Just thought i'd add that. This thing is really good, I recomend all mages picking this up whenever the chance comes.

I just sold this on Norgannon for 100g. There weren't any other on AH. 70 warrior with a twink bought it. Didn't even have to put an enchant on it. If you get this item, just wait till there aren't any on AH and someone will buy it from you for as much as you want. Have a nice day :)

what i dont understand, is why spend so much money when you could just get the emberstone staff? the intell, and stamina pluses arnt that far off, (1-2) and you get spirit(+5). I dont see spending 50g+ when you could just use emberstone.

What are you talking about? Of course hunters don't melee or anything but the stamina and the intellect is great. Especially if you add +15 or +25 agil on it makes a great hunter weapon.

wow ppl have been selling these things like really cheap went to barrens to check out the neutral ah one was in there for like 1g50s went back to sw and sold it not 10 minutes later for 68g lol dont see why ppl think that it suck i used on my priest for a while lol

This staff is without doubt the best choice for mage and hunter twinks!

As for mage, the intellect and stamina is crucial.
Anyone doubting the importants of stamina for twink mages are, sorry to say, wrong!

This is a must-have for mage and hunters twink.
Easly worth 100g on most servers.

This is an awesome warlock, mage and hunter twink item. For warlocks it is your choice... you could have witching stave which is 8 int and 11 shadow sp damage, or you could have this staff, which is more expensive but better. It depends if you can be bothered farming the cash.

Nice little baby! I got it this week, in Ashenval. Just north of Astranaar. I was killing all the mob aside the beach.

My friend was jalous so we start to kill all the mob of an hour and it didn't drop again.

Far superior to Crescent and Living Root from WC. Had this when I did WC and got both the Living Root from the end guy and the Crescent from Thunder Bluff.. almost choked when I compared stats. As a Mage this staff was the better choice for me and I only just changed at lvl 32 for the Windweaver Staff.

I got this little beauty while I was out gathering small flame sacs...when a red whelp dropped it. Whoo!
Since neither my buddy or I needed it, I looked it up in our AH on Windrunner/Alliance side, and seen another one for a buyout of 54g 75s. So I decided I'll try it too...I put it in for 50g bid, 54g buyout. The next morning lo and behold, someone bought it out for the 54g. Lucky Day!

if you have crescent staff, I'd just sell this. Crescent staff is almost just as good (+7 int, +7 stam and +7 spirit) but it's free and soulbound.

This one can be sold, so just sell it. Makes a pretty penny.

I just hit the Wetlands for the first time, and about wet myself when this dropped from a Murlac over in the Fen area in the Western portion near the Tomb. (area with all the crocs around).

I was using the Ember Staff before, and this one appears to be just slightly better for a mage.

Found one of these "for free" in a chest in Duskwood. Now, I've blown 40S trying to auction it. Anyone have any tips? I've set the buyout around 44G and have started using a relatively low min bid of 28.

1st: in my 30es, from a spider in the Hillsbrad.
2nd: lvl 60, in Redridge, entered Tower of Illgalar for fun, killed a shadowhide assasin, he dropped it.
Sold in AH, 55g.

As Best in Slot (BiS) for multiple twink classes and it being a world drop, you can essentially name your price. The market average on my server was 25g but I sold mine for 45g. It will only appreciate in value so take your time and get your value from it. Happy selling (or twinking)!
