Tank him inside the building on the right side of his spawn area. He is nub cakes in there.

He summons bigass demons through a portal, so I imagine he's impossible to 2-man. We 3-manned him but wiped on the adds.

As said, take him into the building.

If you move him into the adjacent room when he creates a portal, the demon wont add (although theres not much room to move :P) and you can kill him by himself.

He does a rain of fire AOE regurarly so avoid it if possible. He spanws a demon lvl 68 elite when at 50%. If you by chance die and killed zuluhed but not the demon, don't CR, wait 2-3 minutes till the demon dies automatically. The corpse will still be there for looting.

Once you start the Netherwing daily quests, you cannot attack this guy...so no helping guildies get to neutral :(

When I came through and was doing this quest to help out some guildies, and then random players that had helped me earlier before they had had their epic flier, I was quite surprised to find out (at least, at the time), that the demons he summons will keep coming if you don't complete the encounter. By the time it was all said and done, we had around four or five Pit Lords sitting on the balcony near Karynaku before they all despawned.

Nearly 2-manned him with an affliction lock and a shadow priest. Didn't have to touch the adds since we kept moving room to room (cleared beforehand). Since we wiped, we grabbed two rogues and a warlock that were nearby, and obliterated Zuluhed -and- one of his elite adds. Cake.

2-Manned by hunter and druid, really easy. Avoid the archer adds (They despawn after a while), hunter melee'd boss down slowly, move him around to avoid demonz.

Tried to 2-man with a priest and a warrior, can heal through the elites no problem but apparently if 2 or more are fighting you at the same time he uses it as an excuse to dissapear. Kiting I had as much as 3 up before I ran out of room to kite him. I just dps him fast enough with two people (played by one character).

I managed to 2-man this quest as a Resto Shaman with a Subtlety Rogue. We had no serious problems taking him out, however the only issue that arose was that we managed to spawn 3 adds. We had two in the rooms and pulled another one back outside towards the hills. If you pop your rock elemental, he can easily tank the adds if you keep him and your other party member up. It was pretty easy.

I soloed Zuluhed as Feral Druid.

Let's take a look at his abilities:

Melee - 200-400 on 35k armor (75% reduction)
Rain of Fire - It's instant, he can still attack you while RoF is active. Deals 900-1100 fire damage per tick (every 2sec).
Doom Portal - Spawns elite demon. Spawned demons do not aggro if you are away from them when they spawn.
Demon Form - At 20% he starts attacking faster but I didn't notice anything else. Continues to use Rain of Fire.

Fight will take 5 minutes so refresh your thorns. You can use some elixirs, food and pots for extra help.

Tried to solo as a Holy paladin. Chugged alot of Super mana pots and still never downed him. Got him to 19% with about 10 portals and then the add's respawned and all jump me. Shame. Am sure he would be doable if I had abit better gear.

I just accepted the q alone and got beaten up can I retake the q without abandoning it and if not do I now have only one try left??

Anyone have any tips on this horrid encounter? We drug him into a side room as to avoid the archers and then encountered the snare immune elite demon he summons right in the middle of the encounter. I know it says 5 man but come on this was a bit absurd. Given we did try with 2 druids, a hunter, and a mage but it seemed pretty tough for 5 man regardless.

We did it easy with 5 men.

4 70 (rogue, warrior, mage and warlock), and 1 65 pally. (We summoned the pally up there)

We pulled him in one of the side room, and nuked the hell out of him. We ignored/sheep the add.

We also ignore the big elite he summoned when he hit 20% and keep nuking him.
Guess we were lucky the elite aggroed on the warrior, since he doesn't follow normal aggro scheme.

Only the warlock died... But we made it virtually easy.

I'm not surprised that they made this hard encounter if you think about the lore. Zuluhed the Wacked is the 1st known chieftain of Dragonmaw Clan which is one of the 15 or so Orcish Clans. Other notable chieftains of other clans have been Thrall (Frostwolf), Grom Hellscream (Warsong), Rend and Maim (Black Tooth Grin), Kargath Bladefist (Shattered Hand) and Gul'dan (Stormreaver).

He's one of the least "famous" orcish cheiftains but he might as well been put as an end boss of 5 man instance seeing that Kargath was put as end boss of 25 man.

But Mogor the Ogre is cheiftain as well, of Laughing Skull clan, and he's just a "quest mob", the last fight in Ring of Blood in Nagrand.

We three manned this guy. Mage,Priest, and Warrior. Started by clearing courtyard,and both rooms. Started quest, pulled into a room(either one works)dps, stay out of aoe. Soon as he summoned portal, pulled into the other room,same routine. Then when he portaled again, pulled to courtyard,dps'd and beat him down befoe another summon.

He IS immune to taunt... oddly enough after you complete this quest you are neutral with netherwing ( i got 42000 xp) and the dragons wont attack you. Def pull him into a room and watch dps!

He was very easy, and we even killed the 68 elite that he brings. The only thing was that since you have to do it for each person that needs it, we thought that the other person that didn't get the quest could just get it form the dragon and it wouldn't spawn another Zuluhed. Well, it did right before we finished off the 68 elite... We killed him again and wiped on the 2nd 68 elite though.

Just clear a room and pull him there. Then keep an off-tank (pets work great) on the 68 elite when he spawn. Watch out for AoE, and you're good!

There aren't co-ords for him, he spawns when you accept the quest. He yells a bit before becoming attackable so you can get into position.

He damages the person who starts the quest quite badly so have your tank start it :D

Well, best thing about him is he is able to be kited. We downed him with only 2 hunters a druid and warlock. With kiting him, you never encounter the elite demons, no archers, plus you dont take any damage at all. You just have to time it so that you dont run into anybody on your way out, and especially ruul.

Fairly easy..just nuked him to 20% then he summoned a demon and some other mobs outside the room. We just killed him, looted him and then died on the demon. Still killed him :D:D

LOL, actually 2 manned, me(shadow priest) and a warrior.
Boss doesnt hit too hard, only had to drop SF to heal a kara+ geared tank twice, managed to get key before the elite adds killed us, had 2 before boss went down.

Moral of the story, clear sideroom, fight becomes a tank and spank.

Edit: I am in kara/ZA/gruul gear, not suggested to 2 man, just sayin fight isn't as bad as one would think

We didn't do any of your kiting or other fancy things...and NEVER fought ANY elite demon spawn thingies. I did it with a 5 man group: Tank, Priest, Hunter (me), Hunter, Rogue. Nice group but only one of us had any khara gear at all (Priest). The rest of us were in like blues and greens...lol. Managed it easily without any adds by pulling him into the right hand building (looking towards them) and killed him pretty easy. One pet died and the priest only had to heal the other hunter once, and the tank once, wasn't bad at all.

Blizzard either ganked this quest or...who knows. I'm guessing they made it easier, 'cause from what you all say compared to my experience, its OVER-RATED.

kill the 2 enslaved dragons+clear the house in the wall near karynaku.

then start quest and pull zuluhed into the house, so you are out of sight for the 200 marksman that spawn on the walls. focus him down and pay a bit attention to his rain of fire, then he's actually quite easy. at low health he transforms into a dragonkin, but with enough dmg he wont live long enough to do anything...

make sure to kill him fast, otherwise he will summon another 68-elite pitlord.
