Based on what you guys have said... This guy, do you have kill just the scorpids in the area to make him spawn or spiders too? Or is it just some huge timer where one scorpid will despawn and this guy will spawn? I have tried killing all scorpids in the area for about 2-3 hours, nothing so far. I've tried running through the area on 4 completely different occasions with no luck as well. Any help?

Just tamed him.

He was just north of that town just as the previous post stated.

I don't believe that you need to kill spawn this guy cuz I just flew in and he was there, roaming in the mess of scorps and spiders.

He can take a beatin too. I sicked him(he's still lvl 56) on a 60 rogue in AV today and for some reason the rogue startin fighting krellack (guess he knew he was dead). Usually if a rogue does that, my 60 King B is dead by the time I kill the rogue, but I took him out before Krellack was at 1/3 health. Can't wait until I get him to 60 :)

Ok, I am staring at Krellack up near the northern mountains.. I am trying to tame him, everytime it gets to the end of his tame.. he just keeps hitting me. It's not failing, it's just not taming. He's not using any super skill to cancel my tame. This is unbelieveable, I dump my fully trained level 60 pet to get a buggy Krellack at 5:20AM CST that won't tame. I'm sure GM's won't respond either. That would be too handy. I will try though. I tried logging off, I tamed a junk scorpion just to test to make sure taming is working.. It is. This is unreal. Anyone successfully tamed him today since the patch? Is he broken now?

After like 10 tame attempts, I lied FD for 3 minutes while typing my post.. Then all of a sudden it works. Unreal. Got him though. X:60, Y:12.

Does anyone have his stats at 60? Just wondering if they are better than the regular scorpids in that area. I'm having trouble finding this guy so if the stats aren't better I'll just keep the regular one I got there.

i found him the first time i ever went to silithus. i thought it was someones pet but it eneded up being this lvl 56 elite scorpian. only problem is that he is hard to tame, make sure he is away from aggro.

(Skywall) What is his spawn rate? And is he easy to find? I ran all over north of Soutwind Village, and up to the Northern mountains and never say him.

Just tamed Krellack, he spawned just north of Southwind Village, at 22:50h, 15th Feb. 2006.
Easy taming, but had to fight to get close to him, much spawns around him.

I was camping the same mob for a week and finally he showed up above southwind as everybody has said. Too bad Blizzard had latency issues with my server (Hyjal) and shut us down for five minutes right before i was about to tame him... he never came back

Hi all, can any1 give me some advice how to get this Krellack? iam hunting him some days, but no chance to find him... i killed horde of scorpids in the area but he didnt respawn... I want this one...thx

Well after 5 hours of grinding int he locations that the rest of you foind him in, i was jsut about to give up and spotted him while searching beasts when i was flying in from origmar... hes now tamed :))

i found him at /tloc 63,40

I have camped him today from 9am est to 7pm est, 10 hours and nothing. i have been killing slightly NE of Southwind, and using the eye of the eagle to check out the north side of the road. Does anyone have some Info on the spawn times of rare mobs?

simple found him outside of that torture NE place and tamed him right away real sweet little scorp

Last night i was looking for the bugger for 3 hours! couldnt find him so i loged of around were he is supposed to be....i logged on this morning i made a macro "/target Krellack" i hit the macro once and found krellack! he is now tamed...w00t :) found at 63.24 i think :P

I tamed him this morning after almost a months worth of searching on and off while waiting for instance groups/BGs.

I recommend mounting up and using the '/target Krellack' macro which you click continually whilst riding. I found him just north of the road between southwind(?) and staghelm point but given the distribution of finds, I'd recommend riding the whole area north to south each time you visit until such time as you give up or find him - he's a rare and annoying to find spawn - but QUITE a worthwhile pet once tamed - have lots of quail when you tame him... :)

Krellack was there! Tamed him.. I can advice this pet to every hunter, great tanker!

He was at loc 70,40.

I tamed him after gettong one of the spiders in the same area, didnt realize he was so rare.. hmm

Just saw him getting killed around 16:35 at coord. 60,19 , so if you fellow hunters on Kilrogg are looking for him, no use checking now. If anyone has figured out how long it takes for him to spawn, you can definitely get him this time. (I wasn't really interested as I've already got Grunter & Humar, and I'm already lvl61.)

Im a 70 Hunter on Illidan. Krellack respawns at 3:30a.m. central time. Not sure if he has any other respawn times, but im sure he respawns at the time above. I sat in Silithus for 4hours spamming a /target Krellack macro and finally I found him. GL all, hope this post helps.

ok... so my hunter has trained this pet, to get skill Scorpion poison 4, but wont use it.. Beast lore says he has rank 4, but not in the pet training book, nor is it form the slingshot beast training. I intend to ditch this pet once he gains the skill rank 4, to teach to my other scorp rank 3.. so you can see my delemma, i dont want to use this beast, just take the skill. the problem i am having is he refuses to use it! he wont use rank 4 scorp.. i got him to unruly, which got me some training points, and i taught him rank 3, from my other pets skil thinking if he uses it,m he wil get rank 4... but so far this hasnt happend. is this pet buggged, or is this not possible? i've trained other pets and learned the skill almost immediately and i have fought with this pet a bunch of times, still no rank 4.. Blizz says i need to battle with him more but i have.. no luck,... tou can reach me ON : GROE (DUNEMAUL) thanks

btw go and tame a random high level bear or what not in felwood they will teach you a beter rank of claw xD rank4 is @#$%e for his level my 51 bangalash has claw 7 :P

lol so funny i looked this guy up on thottbot and found out wher to get him then me and my m8 went out to tame him. then my m8 killed it lol not happy. butt 3 days later he wo ther lol all good now. PS i found out wen the rear guy in un-goro crater is ther this guy will be her to ...

Roarr! Finally tamed this son of a @#$%^.

Don't even know if it was worth it, but I wasted the last eight hours grinding the area where Krellack is suppost to spawn and occasionally questing in Silithus and checking up on Krellack's spawn sights every now and then (I'm actually glad that I did this, because I was L55 when I began looking for him, fortunately I dinged before he spawned.)

And for those that were asking about how rare mobs spawn, as far as I know, it's on a set timer. They don't spawn instead of certain mobs, like scropids in this case, they spawn on a set timer, don't know how often Krellack spawns. And they don't spawn in a specific spot, but in a general area. So just look around at his usual spawn sights every now and then.. I used the word "spawn" a lot just now.

I tamed when I went to go look for it the first time. It has scorpid sting rank 4 now due to 1.7 patch.

With the recent 1.7 pet customizing, I am going to have different pets for different situation. This one is going to be my grinding/solo pet and maybe some instances. Suggested pet talents for it:

Great Stamina - rank 8 (125pts)
Natural Armor - rank 10 (150pts)
Scorpid Poison - rank 4 (25pts)
Growl - rank 7 (0pts)
