Be careful, she reset like every time she did her bellowing roar...so you have to keep constant dmg to keep her from resetting completely.

I suggest you kill as many adds in the area first as she runs around a lot regardless of who has agro. Plus its part of your quest =P

Soloed as an undead protection warrior. She does two things:

* Bellowing roar (fear) every 20-40 seconds or so. 1 or 1.5 second casting time, pop WotF/Berserker rage/whatever or stun her when she does it.
* Shell. Don't break the shell because then you will enrage her. Every time she does this, she runs away a little bit so you get a few seconds to bandage.

In my opinion the tricky part is to not pull any adds (they respawned for me but maybe you have more DPS ;-)), she herself isn't very hard, I think any class should be able to do it as long as you can do something about the fear. Or pull her to a good spot.

I never saw her "resetting" anything, the fight took maybe 5-8 minutes and I had around 65% health left when she was dead, no potions, just a few bandages.

Short version: Pretty much the same as Arvoar.

There's a Nethercite deposit very close by Barash's patrol route, but she patrols more than far enough away from it to mine it. The trick is to mine the node, mount onto your flying mount (or activate Flight Form) when you see her coming back around, and fly off the cliff until she paths away from the node again. It took me two or three takeoffs to mine the node completely, but it worked every time. I suggest standing around the spot in my screenshot: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/1927/denmothernethercitevr0.jpg and turning the camera occasionally to see where the Den Mother is. If you see her walking towards you, immediately mount up and fly off the edge.

Also, be sure to kill the nearest flayer or two, or else they'll aggro on you as you try to mine the node. Makes it far from fun when the Den Mother patrols back around.

Solo'd this guy as well as final elite as a 70 feral druid.. never came close to dying. Just clear out the adds around the elite and you're good to go. other classes may need some kind of healer.

Soloed as a 70 SL/SL Warlock. Had to use a Healthstone since DoTs always enraged her.

i was able to solo her as an elemental shaman, basically the same way i did as Arvoar

i never used fire totem because of the rage bubble it pops, i used wraith of air for the healing/dps, temor totem to stop the fear's she does and had a healing totem for the extra heals for when she is attacking.

When she bubbled i healed although i did pop the bubble twice i was able to still kill her on the first go so i dont know how often she bubbles, it happend more close to death.

Less health than the monster you get the quest item from so it wasn't that hard of a fight. just remember not to pop her bubble or she will hit you for lots of damage

Soloable as a pvp priest healer. Pretty much unavoidable for her to get enraged because of dots.

It is also soloable as mage, frost mage at least.
Max dps -> Water elemental -> Ice block while watching your elemental's health -> repeat

Easily soloed as a BM hunter.

Best way to do this is clear the mobs just before her pathing area once you have killed enough flayers to give you leeway for the 3sec fear, cast mend pet and misdirect right before the pull, pull with aimed shot and arcane shot back to back then just auto shot/steady shot till she starts to cast fear, cast beastial wrath which will save you from the first and possibly second aoe fear. After a certain amount of time she starts casting rock wall as mentioned above, the best way to handle this and keep him out of enrage is with a macro shown below.

Make a macro with the following lines, and jam it a few times as soon as his shell go up.
/stopcasting
/stopattack
/petstay
/petpassive
/petdefensive
/cast Mend Pet (Rank 8)

While she is in there you can bandage yourself for at least 3 seconds or more depending if she is still interested in trying to kill your pet. Which she should be if you are watching your aggro, and throwing the /petdefensive line in the macro will ensure that if your pet is attacked when it comes out of the shell then a growl will be used right away saving the need to tell your pet to attack.

If anyone is having problems mining anything near the flayers, almost every spawn point can be glitched.
You hop on your flying mount, position yourself on some crystals close enough to the node, and you are good to go. When Barash or the other Elite do the fear, if you are in the right spot, you will only run along a crystal, or stand in place.

This is the best way I know of getting the Nethercite Ore or the other Ores near all of the flayers.

Soloable as a Blood Elf (not that it made any difference) PvP Retribution Paladin in Gladiator gear.
Cleared the entier ledge leading up to her from the one the dropped the hand, pulled her with Judgement of the Crusader and kept hitting her, PvP trinket, or Hammer of Justice (35sec CD help tonnes) fear (I'm not sure if the BE racial silence would help here), stopped attacking during her shell (clicking off the mob) and used one holy light.
Just make sure you don't hit her when she's in her shell and you'll be fine, shield and bandage as needed. You Might want a Mana potion too.
As long as she doesn't enrage, she's a walk over. Hits like a pansy.

Easily soloed as a 0/21/40 warlock with ~1100 shadow dmg, 18% crit

- Jump up on one of the ledges in the surrounding area,
- Sacc a voidwalker and summon a new one
- Start spamming SB, stop when "stoned"
If a third shield is needed, insta summon a voidwalker and sacc it
Make sure to have your PvP trinket equipped

I finished with about 70% of my hp left on my first attempt, so this should be no problem

soloed as an arcane/frost raiding mage (2pT5), 1200 spell damage, 22% crit, little under 8k hp. should be pretty obvious, pull with PoM/AP/IV/Arcane Blast and keep spamming it. heath pots/health stones would have made this a lot easier.
