maybe he's the guy who gives you the key to Old Ironforge when the expansion comes out?

Im pretty sure he will gave a quest for opening the Door to the old IF in the King Room!

Old Ironforge does in fact still exsist, hunters and mages can get in there although for hunters its alot easier..a simple search for hidden area's in world of warcraft on google will show you the way..but yes its unused.

Old IF was exactly that, the original version of Ironforge. It was abandoned because they had some problems with it working, I believe. Suffice to say it's been blocked off and the only way in is to glitch through a wall or floor, and it's not going to be opened any time soon.

Go and watch the original Ghostbusters movie. The Gatekeeper and the Keymaster have to 'get it on' to open up the gate for Gozer the Gozerien to come through and destroy the world. That's it.

This reminds me of the gnome in deeprum tram on Ironforge side. He sifts through the trash and eventually he says.. 42.. 42what?.. which was the answer to life in The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. something in there said the answer to life was 42. and that gnome says 42 what? lol its just something neat they put in the game.
