to get to this area...you need to be very careful, if your a lower lvl. there are A LOT of ?? beast and will not be able to take them on...keep an eye out!

If you're doing this quest immediately after Passage to Booty Bay:

There's a cavern at around 28,74. For those without coords, it's on a ramp above the Booty Bay dock. Go through it and then take the path through Straglethorn Vale. Take heed to stay on the road, as this is a 30-40 area. Take the bridge around 41, 4 into Duskwood. At the first crossroads you come to, go east. Follow the path and you'll find Clerk Daltry around 73, 47, in Darkshire Town Hall. Without a mount or aspect that increases your movement speed, it's about a nine minute run from Booty Bay.

If you're a hunter, I strongly recommend having Aspect of the Cheetah on, as it becomes extremely helpful in outrunning high-level aggressives. Feign Death also comes in handy if you're above level 30. =)

There are also several quests you can pick up once you reach Darkshire, although many of these will probably be green by the time you get there. Also, make sure to get the flight path when you arrive.

The clerk Daltry is located in Darkshire Town Hall (Duskwood map, right under Elwynn Forest). His X,Y location is: 72,46. The Flight Path here is X,Y: 77,44.

This is my first time in this area... Any ideas on the best way to Darkshire...

I have no flight path so a griffy is not an option.

Exit booty bay, go left and follow that path north all the way to Darkshore. There's a few forks in the road but just follow the signs to Duswood and then to Darkshire. Took me about 10 mins from Booty Bay, and it was my first trip.

Ttry to stick to the path as there are lots of high level beasts near booty bay, and the odd Horde, but as you get closer to Darkshire their levels get lower and lower.

I made it there with a L31 hunter no sweat.

Don't forget to find the flight path once you're in Darkshire!

And all the mobs are LvL ?
Am I suppose to be on this quest already? Its yellow in the quest guide, so I don't understand why it seems I'm not at the right level for it, Its the only quest I got thats not a dungeon

If u cn gt to SW easily (ie. Herthstone or deeprun tram) then getting 2 duskwood is easy going. Good chance to save time.

IMO
take the boat to Menetil Harbor, Wetlands. Then walk south and turn west in the loch modan and voilá! you're in Ironforge!

From Ironforge you get over to Tinker Town which has the entrance to the Deeprun tram, once in Stormwind you head East towards Redridge, but before you leave Elvynn you turn south once again, you should have to cross a river to get to Duskwood and on the Eastern side of the dustwood map is a road leading from Redridge to Darkshire.

EDIT: btw, Duskwood got quests for level 20, so there should be no problem for a ~30 leveled char to get there.

But the quest tells you to go through Booty Bay....anyone doing so will invariably be attacked on the road by one white elder gorilla, one black gorilla, at least one young stranglethorn tiger, and occasionally a Shadowmaw panther.

My level 40 char still gets attacked by these exact mobs everytime I walk through there lol.

My advice, if you decide to go through Booty Bay instead of taking the directions above, just keep running....if you're a hunter, set your pet to passive. You can outrun any of these mobs' aggro range by the time you are down to half health...then heal, and keep running. If you stop to fight you'll probably die.

After you talk to the dude who gives you the quest, turn around (like you're going back to the boat) and then turn right and go up the ramp (above the guy you talked to).

when you get to the top of the ramp, turn left and go up the small set of stairs and head on through the cave/tunnel-like thing.

Once you reach the end of the tunnel/cave thing (like 20seconds) take a right and start following the path. just follow the signs to Duskwood after that.

Once you reach Duskwood, follow the sign to Darkshire.

when you get into Darkshire, head on into the town and once you reach the middle, take a left and you should see him on your mini-map and in view, he's in the building.

his coords are 72,46.

The Flight Path here is at 77,44.

I just finished this last night. It actually starts in Ashenvale with the Howling Vale quest. Sentinel Melyria Frostshadow sends you to read a book in the vale. The order was.

Somehow, these subquests are listed in the wrong order. The Sentinel in Darnassus gives you "The Barrens Port" when you bring her the journal, sending you to Ratchet, where you speak to the Wharfmaster to get the one about "Passage to Booty Bay", which ends at a guy right in front of the boat landing in BB who gives you this quest, which finally sends you to Darkshire. (This order makes a lot more sense than the order on the site, as it is in principle one straight journey from Darnassus.) If you already have the BB flight point, it may be faster to cross over to the other continent via Menethil or Hearthstone than run all the way from Ashenvale. If not, make sure to stop at the flight master before leaving Booty Bay! :)

Turns out I was wrong about you, and that isn't something that happens everyday.

It just so happens that I remember this Velinde you're looking for. Isn't every day that a night elf priestess that wants to travel with a dirty old--but great for your shipping needs!--caravan like my own.

We split up on the way north, she was headed for Darkshire. The clerk there keeps all sorts of records. Might know something useful.

Be careful in the jungle, it is a deadly place even at the best of times.
