Plucked Feather's drop from mobs in Veil Lash. Entrance around 35, 73.

Once you have 18, go up the bridge (34, 76) and complete quest at the book on the right side of the top part.

The feathers drops from the birdmen, named Lashh'an, they are not at the cave entrance but in the woods at 35, 76.

Phew, took me 15 minutes to figure out where this place was.

Here's the key to ninja in. Mount, get on the path leading into the village. Bear right when it breaks off and zig-zags up a mount. You'll see that there is a ramp leading right into the treetops.

Make sure you do the second step and read the book i went back and then wondered why quests was not completed!

I can't confirm this 100%, however I am pretty sure if you get more than 18 feathers, the quest completion only removes the 18 required (the rest remain in your inventory).

The reason I say this is because I did all the Sylvannar quests to my knowledge includin' a few at the Arakkoa camp...and this feather, after searching Wowhead, has no other links to it. Personally, I'm deletin' this last feather, as I am pretty sure I did the quest.

The drop rate is said to be around 50% and often the feathers drop two at a time.

These feathers can drop more than 1 at a time.

Not a particuarly challenging quest, should be done in about 10-15 minutes. Nice easy quest as an introduction to Blades Edge.

It is random drop from the Lashh'an mobs. Some drops 2 some dont drop any. Pretty fast quest. 36,76 is LOC of the place to kill.

Go up to the tree top at 34,77 to complete and get the next quest.

The road spirals up around those coords, just walk up and you'll reach the way to get up.

Reading these posts screwed me up, the coords are wrong below, the path is at 37,76 right off the road south of sylvanaar. Kill the lashh'an's the drop the feathers.

A word of warning. Don't use your hearthstone as a shortcut back to Daranelle. I tried that and lost the buff.

Clear your way up to the tree top as you quest, so you dont have to kill extra mobs after you got all the feathers you need.

I am seriously lagged every time I go near this quest area. I'm a solo DPS warrior and every time I (slowly)clear the mobs to get up the trees I've got adds I've never seen, getting hits from everyone. Needless to say, death ensues. Anyone else having this problem? Suggestions?

Turn-in is on a timer, you must return to quest giver within 10 min. She did not have gold ball for me but was in front of the building

let's make this nice and simple like the quest is...

You go kill a bunch of birdmen and grab their feathers. Once you have 18, go to the top of one of the first treehouse and read one of the books - there are more than one and it doesn't matter which you read. This completes the quest....
Coordinates are probably as others have mentioned.

Anyway, the NEXT QUEST "scratches"...
once you read the book, and complete the quest, you're given a new one...

Go to one of those pretty purple circles and click on your fist full of feathers. Now you have 10 min to get back to the chicky at the town. Don't, worry, it only takes about 10 seconds to run there. She's by the central building, and hopefully you haven't forgotten where you got the quest yet. Once you get to her, she takes the 'buff' off you. Quest complete. She doesn't show up on your map because you haven't completed the quest until she takes the buff off of you.

now stop trying to complicate things... the quest isn't timed, the second part of the second quest has a limited amount of time to return it, yes. But you can take as long as you want until you get to the purple circle... in which case, if it takes you more than 10 min to run up the road... well, that's just really sad.

The correct path bears off south-west from the main road at 37,34. From here work you way up and then to the right up the path to the rope walkway you can see. Note the Lashh'an Spell Circle with purple circle as you turn. This is the spot for the next quest. There are patrolling Talonites' each with a bird pet. They are not hard but annoying. As a Mage I sheeped the Talonite, killed the pet then killed the Talonite. There are variously also Wing Guard warriors and casters. None too difficult all 65-66. They are quite a few hidden spots so watch as you go.

As noted, go up rope walkway to first tree. Clear casters then cross to second tree and repeat. The book is clickable on the far side of the tree. Once clicked it starts the quest 'Scratches':

Scratches suggested, I used Slow Fall ( you pick up Light Feathers for this mage spell) to drop right down onto the circle. Once there just click the bunch of feathers, A bird appears next to you which will follow. And simply ride out back down the path to the road and back to Sylvanaar.

One thing, the quest giver does not have a yellow marker until you actually come back ext to her. She is at
37.65 outside the main hall. Very nice 18,850xp for the two and an easy quest.

The magic practiced by the Lashh'an arakkoa is unnatural. They rip out handfuls-clawfuls?-of their own feathers as reagents!

That doesn't sound like good magic to me. I've come here to learn more about their spells. Unfortunately getting close is too much for me.

You could succeed: cast one of their spells on yourself, then return to me. You'll have to find one of their spellbooks, high up in the trees of Veil Lashh.

And unless you've grown feathers I can't see, you'll need to get some of those.
