This is super fun. You get to smash and nuke and run around in a giant robot. What could be better? Completing it is easy; just mash the first attack near the armies of infernals. You can use the other attacks to enjoy the spectacle of 8000 point instant attacks and a 2000 point AoE with a 50,000 yard range.

Note: it requires you use the pet bar to command the fel reaver. You may have that disabled entirely, so if you start the event and don't have a bunch of pet buttons then you need to enable the pet bar.

I completed this quest within the time given for it (5 minutes) and when i returned, the quest giver and the guards nearby were gone, so i failed the quest. If this happens, run down the slope to the point when the sky turns purple and run back up. Theyll be there. Also, as a hunter, you can't have your pet out or the control panel will not work.

this quest was FUN! I failed it twice so I could keep killing demons as a Fel Reaver. I hope they release more quests like this in the future.
Note to Warlocks: Get rid of pet before attempting to use the control panel.

This quest is SO stupid...

There i was, mindcontrolling and i had 57/60...

all of a sudden i was taking dmg ? Then the MC broke cuess some1 was hitting me...
and there a big ass felreaver punding me... and ofc i died..

And theres no way back in to that place =/ spirit ress becouse the quest bugged _FTL_

Before starting this quest, go into your interface options and max out the zoom distance allowed. Makes it so much easier when you are zoomed out all the way.

Oh and by the way, just in case you didn't realize, and you end up going around the first area 3 times only to see no more infernals even though you need like 14 more (like me), there IS a ramp that leads to more infernals. Took me 3 times to realize this, im an idiot.

The quest is not completed when you destroy 60 infernals.
You have to return to the quest giver and complete it in 5 min.

To complete the quest you need to remove the buff from your character to give up control of the reaver.

Also, if for some reason you have low health, do not start this quest before healing. The quest was bugged (maybe it's intentional) and 2-3 mobs will run up the hill and attack your character while you control the reaver. I repeated this 2 more times to be sure, and I was attacked each time.

This bug occured March 16, 2007 for those who didn't check the time stamp.

If you die : the teleporter can still be used as a ghost to get back to your body! Otherwise there seems to be no path.

LOL! This quest was the funnest quest ever, I did it about 2 times just so I can go and try and kill an overseer, I only got it down to 55k health though. But it was still fun! hope more like this are in the future.

Problem, can't target any of the infernals, and i can't damage any, either... :-

In or out of the reaver, can't target, can't kill.

Doing the quest is a walk in the park but what makes it hard... this unbelivable bug.

Lots of people have reported this problem including me, I thought this wednesday Blizzard would fix the problem but they didn't.

And im sure of the same reply from Game Masters to players "We are aware of that problem and we will fix it as soon as possible"

At Maximum level the quest awards from 11gold to 13gold and 59 silver, very easy quest awards very easy money but thanks to blizzard we wont be getting that kind of reward untill this problem is fixed and you dont know when will it happen...

6/2/07 Quest still bugged ~ cannot destroy the Infernals, though it was fun running around and aggroing things!

Oh yeah, and I was not the brightest crayon in the box, and couldn't figure out where the consoles were so FYI

CONSOLES are the little boxes about 10ft down the ramp from the quest giver on the left side (as you're walking down) there are 3 of them lined up in the same place.

Hope that helps anyone who like me couldn't figure out where the things were hee hee

edit: BTW I'm pretty sure that if you die (like me who aggroed the elites while I was in the fel reaver o.0) you can't get back up there to your body unless you just port so don't waste your time running all the way north.

Still at least partially bugged for me...

Yes, you can kill the Deathforge Infernals but, for me, the NPC had disappeared :( What solved this for me was getting the 60 kills then dumping the Fel Reaver effect in the battle field. That left me enough time to relog before quest time ran out and voila, NPC was there and I could complete..

Just completed this quest with no issues.

New ability on Pet bar, "Kill Infernals" which you can use every few seconds. Still can't target them but just run near them and use it and 5 or 6 of them will die at once.

I wonder... has anyone tried if the quest is repeatable?
Of course, you can just abandon it and try again as often as you like (I know I did a few times, just to run around with a big hulking ROBOT some more! RAWR ! :) )

But maybe you can still use the consoles after you completed the quest?

P.S. if your first reaver dies, just click the console again to get a new one, and sonic blast (AoE) to get the aggro with that pet again...
Also: dieing there is a long walk, so be sure to run away when they come for you (up the hill toward the teleporter, just far enough to get out of combat).

This quest confused me a bit at first until I got the hang of it.

The controls are three little boxes just down the hill from the quest giver. Click on one and you will become the machine.

One time the control bar never showed up for me - the other time it did. Don't know if this is a known issue or not.

Walk down the stairs/ramp and there will be more infernals to kill. Right click on the buff to get back to the control box and then go up the hill to turn in quest.

Quest seemed bugged at first to me as I was killing 60 no problem. And then it would say complete, but there was no way to turn it in. I had to abandon the quest, and start again. The key here is soon as you hit 60, relenquish control of the fel weaver by clicking the icon in the upper right hand corner, and turn in the quest within that 5 minute period.

This quest is an obvious tribute to the movie "The Fast and the Furious".
But besides it's name I've noticed some more connections with the movie.

The movie, as we all know, is about people driving fast and powerful cars. During the quest players also "drive" (gain control, literally) a powerful Fel Reaver Sentinel unit and it's sprint-like ability makes it fast as well.

Fel Reaver Sentinel as every other Fel Reaver have exhaust pipes so we can assume that it has internal-combustion engine just like most modern cars we see in the movie.

Every internal-combustion engine utilizes some kind of fuel but again Fel Reavers are so big that using gasoline would be damn too expensive and most likely they use a diesel oil (probably some fel-version of it) which gives us connection with the main star of the movie Vin Diesel.

And even though all those things I've said can be just speculations there is at least one unarguable connection - both protagonists of the Q and the movie - Fel Reaver Sentinel and Vin's character - are totally bald!

This is a pretty easy quest, though it has a history of being buggy. I just did this, and once I was done none of the quest npcs were there. I even tried to /target the quest-giver, but to no avail... its as if he had simply vanished. As a last resort, I logged out, and then back in. Finally he was there, and I turned in the quest with about 20 seconds to spare. I wondered if it were a graphic error, but since I couldn't even target the quest-giver, I really don't know what happened.

The fel reaver control consoles are the three machines right next to Plexi. Don't be an idiot like I was and run around looking for it.

You have to destroy the green statues on the ground, not the living mobs themselves.

Not sure if there is another bug. But while I was controlling the Reaver, my toon kept agging some of the ground mobs. Tried three times, before I was fast enough to kill the infernos, exit the Reaver and run my toon away from the mobs, all before dying.

I don't understand this quest. It says to kill infernals but the infernals cannot be targetted or destroyed. You run straight through them. I read further up that people were having trouble in patch 2.1 but we have 2.3 coming out in less than two weeks. Did Blizzard break this quest again. Anyone know?

Not sure if it is just me, but I can't complete this quest at all. It locks up WoW entirely. The one time I killed everything fast enough I got back to the quest giver and he acted like I didn't have the quest.

If the quest giver isn't there when you finish killing infernals, fly back up to the transporter. You'll notice that the NPC's in the area reload when you fly back down, and you'll be able to turn in the quest.

Guys i'm playin it in Fury of the Sunwell patch, and it has been changed..Or could be bugged.
While i pilot the fel reaver there is an elite demon that attack me...So pay attention guys, and hunters: Feign Dead :P

For the hunters, and possibly warlocks, you will NOT be able to begin controlling the Fel Reaver until you dismiss your pet. Took me a little bit to figure that out.

If your a druid you can use shapeshift, so I'd suggest going into bear, just in case. I didn't have any adds attack me. But regardless, you can use the RC while shifted.

Blizzard really needs to make this quest like the bombing runs in Hellfire: Repeatable. This is by far my favorite quest I've done so far.

I feel like such a noob, how do i get the Fel Reaver Sentinel over to where the Deathforged Infernals are, theres no path I can find that leads out of the Invasion Point to Legion Hold where the Infernals ae. Or are there others?

I tried the quest today, and when i finished, the consoles disappeared, my group member disappeared, and the quest giver disappeared. When the timer ran out and I failed the quest, abandoning it did not make the quest-giver or the consoles reappear. My group member reappeared after she got out of her fel-reaver. Has anyone had this problem?

Be sure to realize that there's two levels of infernals, with about 50 on the first. I had killed 'em twice and couldn't find any more =[

If you use CT Mod, log out and uncheck CT Mod in addons before you accept this quest. Just dismissing your pet prior to starting it up isn't enough.

this was one of hte worst quests I have ever done. I did it on 13 july 2007 and it was ridiculous: I was getting chucked out of the fel canon with half health and 3 mobs chasing me: they killed me twice after being ejected from the canon and I died twice, needing to refit armour at a cost of 7gold 60 silver. did it but put me off the game.

Yes - dismiss pets!

Also - A little bar appears when you are in control of the fel reaver with like 4 or 5 little spells on it. The fel reaver does an AoE that wipes out a ton of the infernals at once, all you have to do is run around and kill them.
Use the Dash or Speed increase button to run to the next big area of infernals.

You also need to turn the quest in before the 5 minutes runs out or it fails. As soon as you kill 60 infernals, click off the little controller icon in your top-right corner. Don't wait for your time to run out!

Another note - for some reason every time I finished killing the infernals, the consoles and the NPCs all disappeared, and I couldn't turn in the quest. A console reload didn't bring them back, but I tried logging out and then right back in again and that solved the problem. So if your NPC vanishes when you want to turn in the quest at the end, log out to the character screen and back in, as long as you have enough time left on your timer!

The quest works now (6-24). (Hunters & Locks dismiss your pets first).
You can't target them, just run around and launch your rockets at them. If you get slowed or attacked by a bunch of mobs use sonic boom & sprint to get away. After you run out of them to kill run down the stairs there are more.

Before you get quest make sure if you are a pet class to dismiss your pet! Then get quest run down to consoles just below Plexi at 40, 21 right click on a console you will take control of a Fel Reaver use the rocket launcher button on pet bar (looks like a rocket icon) to destroy as many Infernals close to you as you can when cool down resets rockets run to another bunch of Infernals and fire it again rinse and repeat till your Fel Reaver gets low on health (I changed out at 20%) right click on Fel Reaver Buff Icon (in your buff bar) this will get you out of that Fel Reaver. Then go click on console next to one you used before, this will put you in another Fel Reaver. Go out and repeat steps used with first Fel Reaver till you get 60 kills if you run out of Infernals on first floor there are a ton more down the steps to the West. As soon as you hit 60 Infernals click on buff Icon to get out of Fel Reaver and run back uphill and speak to Plexi again to complete quest. Using this technique I finished quest in about 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

BTW I did this quest as a Night Elf Hunter so coordinates given are for the alliance side. Same technique should work for horde also using their coordinates for their quest mobs

Well, all i can say is that I really didn't know what I was doing, the line of sight inside the fel reaver is horrible, yet I just ran around, clicking the missile button and occasionally the sonic boom thing to kill the guys attacking you, and I killed 60 infernals, debuffed out, and turned in the quest with 50 seconds to spare.

Don't read too much into all these posts...just jump in and go crazy. My biggest complaint is that you can't see sh*t while in the reaver.

SOMEHOW when I was doing the quest, I aggro'd the elite on my ACTUAL Character! How ridiculous. Of course I died and guess where the cemetery is? Yeah you guessed it, back at Wildhammer. How *!@#ing dumb.

So I tried to do this twice after the patch. Each time I am able to kill all 60 infernals, but then am told I failed. The first time I dismissed the fel reaver, the second time I kept him throughout the timer duration.

What did you do after you had the 60?

As it says, you have to dismiss the pet. It was quite annoying clicking and not getting any message as to why it wasn't working. Especially when quests to date have dismissed or overridden the pet without warning, etc.

When activating the console, stay back a bit. Just in case. No proof that it helps, but you shouldn't stand near the ledge close to the mobs to agro them. Run around and rocket the infernals. The moves are all on separate cooldowns so there's no reason you can't hit one of the other buttons while the rockets are charging. I used the world breaker to stun and hurt the Gan'arg Techs that eventually swarm you. I think I managed to wipe out quite a number at around 40-50 Infernal mark. Addition Infernals to the west is very useful. The last button on the pet bar is turbo boost so you can tap that for a quick run to the west.

All round simple and rewarding (did it at 70). And done with about 2 min 20 sec to spare at hand in.

Ok. If you have a pet dismiss it. Start the quest then jump down and use one of the control panels which are to your right when facing quest giver. You'll gain control of a fel reaver. Use the left most button on the pet bar to AoE the infernals. Use the 3rd button to AoE down the little guys that attack you. When you've destroyed most of the infernals run west down the steps to find more. If you get kicked out of the fel reaver just use another control and start again. (they may all aggro to you at this point and you'll need to feign death or something. Priest fade worked for me) After you kill 60 infernals you have to right click on the control icon listed up in the top right of your screen with your buffs before the fel reaver gets destroyed or else you can't see the controllers or the quest giver.

P.S. Bliz - please spend more time fixing the current broken content and less time developing new broken content.

did everything that was recommended here, dismissed my pet, tried to relog - nothing helps, those infernals are just UNtargetable! its impossible to hurt them in any way with this reaver... anyone has ideas how to do this? thx a lot in advance!

It's easy if you know how to kill the infernals.

They are UNTARGETABLE ROCK things. The only way to kill them is with the Rockets (the first attack button that the fel reaver has). The next one is a sonic wave thing... which doesn't hurt them. The next button is the aoe/stun/damage... which doesn't hurt them. Your fourth button is a sprint.

Run into a group of rock things, use rocket.
Then use aoe stun, sprint to another set of infernals

Stand till your rocket is ready, use it.

There are more infernals down the ramp. Just run around and use rockets. The mobs won't be able to kill you before you finish anyways.

If you are using any kind of UI mods, you may not be able to see the 'pet bar' for the reaver. If this is the case for you, just run around spamming Ctrl+4 and your rockets will fire whenever the cooldown ends (every few seconds).

Also, I was able to dismiss 1 reaver before it died, grab another and keep on killing till I had 60.

The q did not work for me. I did it like 4 times before going here and then i went back did the q the q giver was gone like all the other times but then i log out in back again and there he was! Stupid q giver. *grr*

I was not understanding why I couldn't interact with the console controllers, and aparently you have to dismiss your pet before you can do it.

So if you're an hunter or a warlock, don't forget to dismiss your pet first!

Use the controls on the ledge directly to the right and below the quest giver. For some reason questie shows the objective as being to the south of the zone.

Use a Fel Reaver Control Console to take control of a Fel Reaver Sentinel. Destroy 60 Deathforged Infernals before your fel reaver fails. When your mission is complete, report to Plexi at Invasion Point: Cataclysm.

Well, this has everything we need, but there's just one problem. Fel Reavers aren't really built to respond to remote control.

We can modify one for you to use for a short time, but you'll have to work fast, or there's no telling what might happen! I wouldn't be surprised if your little stunt with the fel reaver catches the attention of the Legion's lackeys, either. Keep an eye out, and whatever you do, don't forget to destroy as much as you can!
