piece of cake 15, 41 right at the mini dark portal, click your spike in your inventory and wax him. Took 2 fireballs and a fireblast piece of cake solo'd by 70 mage.

This mob appearently has a hard time getting down the stepps facing the water, so what i did was i jumped into the water and DPSed the crap out of him.

Any ranged class can use this method.

soloable, did it with lv69 hunter... was very easy... also did the against illidari... was easy too... pet tank the whole thing... used beast wrath+mendpet+intimidation+rapid fire+aimed shot+bladefist breath(or equilavant) = dead mob

And there is no ! over his head. How do I start the other quests? Is there a faction req? Which faction?

Quest is bugged, I killed 3 of them and left them laying in a pile no kill credit. Co -ords are right.

Do this right away, you're probably not going to have a reason to get any closer to the area than the questgiver is. Coordinates given for the portal are close enough, 15,41, whatever... it's the big arch at the edge of Marshlight Lake in W. Zangarmarsh, just like it shows on the map - you can't miss it. Plant the spear, he appears suddenly and starts zapping you right away (but to quote from MacBeth, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing")! I backed into the lake (he apparently doesn't like the water) and managed to get off 5 shots - including one Aimed and one Steady - before he dropped. Only worth a little over 7g, but also only takes about 45 seconds (not counting travel time). Cost me 2% off my armor and a few health points, my pet barely even noticed (I didn't back away fast enough!). Level 70 Marksman Hunter.

If your a fighter you may want to go around to the back before starting the battle. Otherwise the mob will hit you with a range and you can not get close enough to attack.

Easy kill, paladin non elite 5585 hp.

If you are lvl 70 (with flying mount) and don't want to engage the bad guy immediately (even though he's a breeze to kill), just land ON TOP of the portal, plant the spear there. Bad guy appears, but can't get to you. Then jump down, kill it, and be off....

Altruis the Sufferer wants you to take the Imbued Silver Spear and use it at Portal Clearing near Marshlight Lake in Zangarmarsh to awake Xeleth. Return to Altruis after you've slain the demon.

Some demons pledge allegiance to no one but themselves. A true enemy of demons finds and destroys his prey regardless of affiliation, however.

The demon Xeleth - a Legion defector - was once worshipped as a god by primitive swamp creatures in Zangarmarsh. When Draenor was nearly destroyed, he retreated into a slumber deep beneath Marshlight Lake. Find the portal at the lake and plant this spear into the ground.

Xeleth will awake - be ready to slay him and prove you're an enemy to all demons.
