There is a level 72 elite bear near the Altar. Keep your distance from it.

The key to this quest, is to keep a suitable distance from the Altar and not interfere with the script. After you place the trap, Gorgrom will appear in the large clearing on the north side of the Altar, walk to it and get killed by the trap.

Very easy, if you don't interfere. Very painful, if you do.

FYI: it aint just any bear, its rexxars loyal pet misha. PvP taged and all, but when it comes to the gronn, just do what Aevorn said, works like a clock

It's worth to mention that you need 3 Grisly Totems, which drops of the ogrees. After Gorgrom walked into the trap, you need to plant the totems there. It's done by simply clicking on them in your backpack.

It seems to be possible to plant the totems a short while after the corpse of Gorgrom vanished, incase you forget to plant them (like I did). But play it safe, and plant them as soon as possible.

Again, very easy. Clear a little room around the altar, and then inch up to it until you can click on it. Set the trap, stand still, wait for him to show up and die, and then right click on your totems. You'll already be in position and poof, quest done.

Slay a few ogers to get the totems, just click the altar and use stealth (if you are a rogue) the elite will walk upp to the altar and die of the trap. Walk up to him and place out the totems. (you can stay on the same place and place them out)

I accidentally walked right into him as he spawned and he didn't aggro me, so I think there's a grace period of a few seconds for you to get the hell alway from the altar and let the trap do it's stuff. But stay back anyway.

I recommend clearing the ogres all around the camp fire since they'll attack you.
Grogrom, when summoned, will walk straight to the altar and fall. Then you must put your totems that you gathered all around his body.
And just incase you think that scene is sad look at the ogre near the forge who will be dancing better than any charcater in the game. :P

I would suggest completly the quest line (name of which escapes me at the moment) to become the King/Queen of the Ogres. If you do the ogres in the camp will not attack you which makes doing this quest extremely easy.

I accidently put down the grisly totems before I even summoned gorgrom, and at the time I planted the three totems I got the quest completed in my log, so I think you dont even need to summon him to complete the quest.

so i'm doing this quest to catch up with my friend so we can do the last part together....
Misha was not there when he did it... initially we thought it was a glitch, so we reported it - the GM said "she is definitely supposed to be there," and then mentioned something about "scenery"
well... 69 druid with about 10k armor and she hits 800-900 per strike... so i'm not going to fight her....
and it wasn't a glitch...

so finally i decide to just walk up to her and see if she aggros
now if i was horde, she wouldn't aggro anyway, but she was aggressive bc i was alliance....

but as i walk up and unstealth, she sits there - she does nothing

DONT TOUCH THE BEAR AND THE BEAR WONT TOUCH YOU

He dies from the trap you place, at the altar. Just stand behind it and he will run to you but die at the altar cause of the trap. Place the heads whenever u want, before or after he dies.

No idea what your talking about tbh, very easy quest.
Cleared path to altar. Pressed it, took a few step backwards and away from Gorgrom, watched as he died. Planted 3 heads next to him, didnt aggro a single time as warrior.

Just did this quest tonight, and there was no bear in sight. I was expecting to see it, but there was no Misha. A welcome relief. 30, 22 confirmed, clear a bit around the altar so you don't have an ogre wandering into you because unless you're quite fast, the gronn's corpse will disappear by the time you kill the ogre. The corpse doesn't stick around long at all, so have your Grisly Totems ready and plant them ASAP.

very easy quest he spawns i vanished and then died so i slammed the totems around him while i had every ogre trying to kill me preperation>vanish and im away quest done no effort or hard work thanks btw guys for the help

Very easy to do. I got my totems in the first 3 kills i made. Then go use the altar, let him die, then place the totems fast and take off. Coordinates for the altar, and the area in general, are 30,22.

I found it amusing that when he dies, it says in your combat log "Gorgrom the Dragon-Eater is killed by Suicide". Guess Bliz didn't fix up that.

Try to do Slaughter at Boulder'mok at the same time as they involve killing the same mobs.

Altar is at 30,22

Clear the area of Ogres first,this should hopefully get you the three totems you need. Then summon, afterwards place the totems and your done.

I dont know if this is a bug or what, but theres a huge bear 72 elite on top of the altar named Misha... so, how do I get past him to summon?

The altar is a small grey square to the right of the fire at 30,21. just right click it when there is no one around and the big lvl 70 monster will just die without you doing anything. then plant the 3 grisly totems one at a time.

Gorgrom the Dragon-Eater

Go to Boulder'mok and collect 3 Grisly Totems from the Boulder'mok ogres. Use Sablemane's Trap at Gorgrom's Altar to summon and kill Gorgrom the Dragon-Eater.

When Gorgrom is dead, place the 3 Grisly Totems near his corpse, then return to Commander Haephus Stonewall at Evergrove in the Blade's Edge Mountains.

We must show the ogres that we are not to be trifled with. We must send a message.

Travel to Boulder'mok and kill the ogres there. Make sure you keep their heads.

Then go to Gorgrom's altar and place the trap there for him. Gorgrom will appear, and you must lure him into the trap. When he is dead, mount your grisly totems near his corpse, so that the ogres may look at their fallen master and their fallen brothers, and know the price for seeking to destroy us.
