This gives 209 honor; just checked. Additionally, if you are on a pve server you just need to get one of your friends to sign over to the opposing faction and trade kills until you get 10. If no one else participates in the combat that is 210 additional honor from hks, due to the removing of diminishing returns. Actually, this may end up being one of the more lucrative means of attaining honor, just kill trading.

This quest can be completed in a raid group, so ask in General if anyone else is working on it, it'll make it a lot easier. LONG LIVE WORLD PVP!

I get +500 Kurenai reputation for compliteying this quest. I did that quest twice and get rep everytime. So, there is a new way to get exalted with Kurenai for bored 70.

In the 3rd post about this quest, parl2001 complains about players trying to abuse the game with things like kill-trading. To some extend, I agree. You don't have to figure out how to exploit the game in the best ways. Sometimes you should just play the game as it is. But if there are people out there who exploits this quest with kill-trading, then I can definitely understand them. And I do believe that it is the devs responsibility when players exploits the game. And to be honest, I think this daily is kinda retarded.

When I first heard about it, I was interested, but ended up thinking "How are you supposed to kill 10 players of the opposite faction?". There usually isn't a lot of PvP action going on in Halaa, and just because there is a new daily it likely won't be changed a lot. Shortly ago, however, I got interested again. First of all, I found that it gave Kurenai rep. This would be a great way to get rep with them without grinding ogres. Secondly, it occurred to me: Maybe you are not supposed to kill enemy players? Maybe it is enough to kill the guards? But no. Only enemy players.

Yesterday, I bombed - almost by myself - all the enemy guards and took control of Halaa with a few other players. That was a big accomplishment. I got Halaa back to the Alliance where it's supposed to be. I am a hero!
Did this brave act of world PvP - the exact thing that the devs are likely trying to do with this quest - meant that I completed the quest? No. Because I didn't kill 10 Hordes. I bombed the guards. I got Halaa. But there weren't any Horde players that wanted to play with me. Or well... I got 3 kills. The same Hunter who stood and waited for me at the wyvern post.

I think the quest would be much better if it simply stated "Take control of Halaa." Though the tproblem with this kind of quest - in my view - is that it can be exploited. There would be players who bombed all the guards from the beginning and players who just landed with their netherdrakes to complete their quest 30 seconds before the city changed sides. Nevertheless, I still think that this kind of quest would be better than it is now. Killing 10 enemies are unpredictable. It is not enough that you are in Nagrand and ready for some world PvP. You can attempt to taunt the enemies by taking the wyverns and bombing the guards, but as my victory in Halaa proved, this doesn't mean that you can complete the quest.

I am glad that the devs do something to improve world PvP. And I'm glad that they give another way to rep with Kurenai/Mag'har instead of just grinding ogres. But this quest should be different. "Take control of Halaa" or "Kill 10 guards" would be my best ideas.

Kinda hard to get this one. I find that every time I take halaa with a group, the opposing faction never fight unless they have a numerical advantage. They just wait for us to take it and leave and then they come in and take it back. If there's a fight I might get 1 or 2 kills if I'm lucky before they all leave. Only exception is one of those rare occasions (rare on our server anyway) when a big group from either side end up going toe to toe for some full on pvp there. I've always found it hard to get tokens for halaa.

Another point to note on this one is that, for the kill to count towards the 10 needed for the quest, the killing blow to the enemy combatant has to be dealt by your or a member of your 'group'.

So, if you've formed a raid group, only deaths where the killing blow was dealth by a member of your immediate group will count. Just helping out with the kill or being near the kills (as in BGs) does not count.

So this is a toughie to complete in time and effort !

After the Phase 3 patch changes, this quest now gives 943 honor compared to before.

We are not a warlike race, <race>. However when war comes to our lands, we do not run away from it.

The Alliance and the Horde wage war in the city of Halaa, to the northwest. We do not know what the blood elves are scheming, but any victory for the Horde would be disastrous. The history between our people and the orcs is one of bloodshed and betrayal.

Go and slay the enemy in Halaa and you will be rewarded in coin, honor and renown.
