Ayren can be found where you landed at Sun's Reach Harbour, easily spotted by the two Dragonhawks protecting him and to the north of the town. You talk to him for the air raid.

Took me more than one run on my first go at the quest. The Pit Lords took about 3 hits from full health to take down, luckily the bombs have a short cooldown roughly similar to GCD.

Remember to read the quest. 1st time i did it i went to the dead scar and killed the mobs in melee.
The quest is very easy when you read it.
Go talk to Ayren Cloudbreaker (48,25) and you will get a ride on a dragon hawk just like when you take a flight path. Use your starshards to kill the demons. They have 1.5 secs cooldown and a very long range. The pitoverlords needs 3 shots sorceres needs 2 and the Wrath Enforcers needs 1.
First time i needed to take the dragonhawk twice but its posible to do it in 1 run.

Part of the Dragonhawk's flight path takes you near where Brutallus, the 2nd boss in the Sunwell Plateau, is standing.

Amusingly enough, if you throw bombs at him he shrugs it off and yells at you to try again "with 24 of your friends", poking fun at the hard-capped 25-man raid sizes.

These mobs are "tagged" similar to other mobs, in that only the player who first damaged a Pit Overlord or Eredar Sorcerer can get credit for the kill.

I always end up going on 2 flights to complete this quest mainly because other people finish off mobs that I wanted to kill.

Make sure that no one is leaving just ahead of you as they will probably tag all the mobs just before you and you will just help to kill them for him.

Difficult when lots of people are running it- there just aren't enough sorcerers. I have made 4 runs and I am 0/3 on sorcerers. I finished all the others after two attempts.

Make sure you group up with the guys in front and back of you in the congo line of Dragonhawks that is forming now that these quests are becoming avaiable. Otherwise, you'll run into a lack of sorcerers to kill and have to do multiple runs to finish it.

This quest tends to be a bit tougher because at least right now, everyone is doing it too.
As stofffer said, You will find Ayren Cloudbreaker at 48, 25 or for those of you without coords. Its the person standing beside the flight master. Not hard to find!
My advice would be to group up with people and all try and take off roughly at the same time, you will get credit.

The flight isn't long and once you are able to use your bombs, do so.
All three types of mobs you must kill are large so don't waste your bombs on the small guys standing around.
The sorcerers and pit overlords both take more then one hit to kill which is why grouping is a bit faster, atleast until everyone isnt doing them all at the same time or you can just keep repeating until you have them all killed. ( I completed it in 3 tries althought I was bombing the small guys who melee at first. )

You cannot get this quest until your realm has completed phase 1 which is why some of you guys aren't able to talk with Ayren or get the quest.
The more people doing their dailies the faster your realm completes the phases.

The quest overall is pretty fun, very reminiscent of the early hellfire bombing quests. Only issue I have with it is that if you get stuck behind a train of other people doing the bombings, you pretty much get hosed as the people ahead of you will most likely take a majority of the kills.

It took me 3 extra runs to get the sorcerers simply bec I kept getting stuck behind others that were taking them all. Good quest overall, just needs a bit more tuning.

Just be sure to repeatedly nuke the pit lords and sorcerers; they both take at least 2 hits to kill.

For the love of god please read the quest log first. Like a colossal moron I though I had to ride down with my horse to the scar and kill them in hand to hand. When I realized that I couldn't kill the sorcerers from the ground I read the quest log and realized my massive mistake. I had spent twenty minutes on the ground at the scar doing this. I've seen other people do this to, so I know I'm not the only one. Anyway, let this be a lesson to always read the quest first... first!!! The upshot is I got 15 admantite since a vein down there re-spawned quickly.

Upon recovering the Sun's Reach Armory (completion of phase 2), this quest is replaced by The Air Strikes Must Continue, which has the same objective but is a permanent daily quest that can be completed for reputation and reward, and will always be available once it is unlocked.

As the mobs for this have very quick respawns, and the charges have a small CD it can help to fire the changes to the spawn locations of the Quest mobs, even if they are not there. They may spawn, be hit by your charge and give an easy kill.

Very useful tip for those who are unlucky enough to be on a populated server like myself with a lot of people doing the quest; when you're about to fly over the wall and return to the flightmaster quickly relog and you'll be back on the flight again, able to do a complete bombing run again without flying back to the base :)

From what I've seen, unless you take a group into this you will have to do 2 runs. Most of the time there will be other people there to take some kills on accident or you'll kill something that ends up being too far away from you for credit(hopefully they'll change this though).

I recommend going through and killing the 2 Pit Overlords and 3 Eredar Sorcerers since they are irritating to kill. The Pit Overlords are the extremely large creatures with the big spike for a weapon on the ground. The Eredar Sorcerers are the ones casting spells on the walls. After killing these, kill as many Wrath Enforcers as possible on the way out, they are the smaller demons that spawn on the ground, then finish them off the next flight around so it'll be easy.

The zombies in the Dead Scar give credit for nothing, but do show a lot of pretty numbers.

Amount of direct hits to kill:
Pit Overlord - 3 hits
Eredar Sorcerer - 2 hits
Wrath Enforcer - 1 hit

Put the bombing device on your action bar and hotkey something to it... then you can get in two charges of the bomb per global cooldown:

-When the bomb is ready to be used, QUICKLY press your hotkey, then drop the bomb, then the hotkey again immediately, then drop another bomb. Two per global cooldown!

After a few days of having to do multiple (3+) runs, I found that zooming your camera all the way to first-person view made this run tremendously easy. This makes your view unobstructed by you on the dragonhawk, so you can drop in every direction without a blind spot. When I did this and (as suggested above) moved the bombing device on my action bar (slot 1, easy to find without looking down), I was able to complete the quest on one flight.

My strat was to go after the sorcerors and pit lords 1st, then mop up the enforcers at the end. There's usually groups of 2-3 that you can kill with one shot at the points where you're turning hard at either end of the Dead Scar, where there are no big guys to take out anyway.

This quest is easy, just talk to Ayren Cloudbreaker, he should be located on the dock, behind the ship, next to the flight master.

When you get to Dead scar the locations for all of the demons are:

1. Wrath Enforcer - on the ground there should be a lot of scourge surrounding them. They die in 1 hit

2. Pit Overlord - Anywhere but their huge so you should have no problem spotting them. They die in 2 hits

3. Eredar Sorcerer - They should be on high ground casting away at the scourge. They die in 1 hit

I have to agree that this Daily sucks and has not been well thought out at all by Blizzard.

At busy times you can quite easily kill all of the Overlords & Enforcers on the 1st or 2nd run but there are just too few Sorcerers to go around. I am currently on my 10th flight this morning and on each run find that there is either no sorcerer to be seen or if I'm "lucky" will see one go down just before I'm within range. How many times are you expected to do the run?

Annoying as hell...

Grab the quest from Battlemage Arynna, 47,35 inside the hut at the bottom. Go back to the flightmaster area,48,25 and talk to Ayren Cloudbreaker (he's on the right). He will send you to the Dead Scar.

**Note** You have to have the killing blow on the mob in order to get the credit. This will take more than one trip to the scar.

You know you can do this quest as a group? I've done this on numerous occasions. Just make sure you all set off at the same time.

If you do this quest in a group it usually takes 1 pass. Stagger your launch times by a second and then bomb away. Did this with 3 people and no problems. Everyone gets credit for kills so 1 run was all it took

I hate this quest. Other people bombing your mobs just before you do, stupid mount flying all wild makes targeting hard, not enough mobs, mobs aren't respawning fast enough, bombs don't always drop when you tell them to, long flight to and from the scar. Criminy.

I can see several possible ways to improve this quest:

1) Make the mounts fly WAY faster going to and from the scar so you don't have to wait so long going back and forth.

2) Increase the number of passes up and down the scar and SLOW DOWN THE STUPID MOUNT.

3) Increase the number of mobs and how fast they respawn (especially sorcerers)

or best solution...

4) Make it possible to do it on your own flying mount so you can take as much time as you need and go up and down the scar until you get all the mobs you need.

Stupid quest. Waiting for the Skettis escort quest is better than this. LOL.

I think I have some vagisil for you "Ladies" out there whining about having to spend a few minutes extra on a Daily that would never require you literally get off your arse to complete. The first time I ran this quest, it took 3 times to finish... now, 25% of the time I can knock it out the first attempt, 75% in 2 attempts. Just beacause you're lvl 70 doesn't mean that every thing should be handed to you on a silver platter!

Constantly move your angle of focus around. Pit Lords can usually be bombed two or three times in a single pass. Same with the Sorcerors. Look for groups of Enforcers - a single bomb can net 3 or 4, with practice/luck.

I love this quest.
First time I tried this it took me 3 goes. The first couple I was figuring out what each target looked like. Not it only takes me 2 usually and sometimes 1. Really not that hard. Just like normal quests, if someone else gets the first hit the mob goes grey so for bigger ones like the pit lords, go for one that someone else hasn't already hit. Only need 2 or 3 hits to bring them down which is easy on one pass. If spending 5 minutes to get 10 gold is too hard for you then there are plenty of other dailies.

This quest has gotten significantly easier since mini-patch 2.4.1. The Sorcerors take only 1 hit to kill now, which makes their low numbers and odd angles with the mount's speed and the camera shifts much better. Overlords still take 2 hits. I've been doing this in one pass every day, even during busy server times, since last Tuesday.

Just have to be patient...work together...if you do this when tons of others are working on it it does go a lot faster....but yes...takes quite a few flights to get them all.

Distraction at the Dead Scar

Battlemage Arynna wants you to speak to Ayren Cloudbreaker when you're ready to fly over the Dead Scar. Once there, use the Arcane Charges to kill 2 Pit Overlords, 3 Eredar Sorcerers and 12 Wrath Enforcers.

The Legion will move against us as soon as their forces to the south are freed up. The Scourge at the Dead Scar are keeping their forces occupied at the moment. It won't last long, however.

I want you to fly a dragonhawk over to the scar and put a dent in the demons' numbers with these arcane charges.

If all goes well, they won't even notice us taking the armory from Kael's lackeys. Talk to Ayren, the dragonhawk master in the west part of the harbor, when you're ready to fly there.
