To do this quest, you must find the red clouds and use the goggles to capture their essence. The red clouds can be found anywhere in the Nagrand Spirit Fields, usually the closer to the middle the better your chance of finding one.

People have complained that they are not able to see the clouds. This is caused by equipping the goggles in another zone (Shatt usually), and then going to the Spirit Fields. Simply re-equip your goggles and you should be able to see the clouds just fine.

The Spirit Fields are surrounding Oshu'gun and are littered with Demons, Wildlife, and some Ethereals. The flames are pretty easy to see. I submitted a screenshot, should anyone not know what to look for.

I've submitted an SS to show that, despite R/G colorblindness issues that may arise, these are visible from absurd distances, even beyond that of normally-spawning mobs. They're also everywhere around Oshu'gun. This daily is also absurdly easy.

If you can't see the clouds the first time, try reequipping your goggles. It worked for me.

These things look so out of place it is almost impossible to miss them. That aside it's an insanely easy Daily that should be done everyday since it gives 250 Rep. Enjoy your free gold!

If you use itemrack or closetgnome, mounting up means you take off the goggles. That can have you running around this place forever on your mount, never seeing the small red clouds.

I must say you see a big red egg lol all around and even being fairly high on my dragon mount i could see these things from a great distance. So easy of a daily i feel like i owe them gold

There's a small bug regarding this quest and the goggles.

Some people have been complaining they can't see the fires even with the goggles on, do to the goggles being area specific, if you have them equipped upon leaving Nagrand you must un-equip then re-equip them in order for them to work again.

You must have the goggles in order to turn in the quest! Don't make the same mistake I did and destroy them for inventory space.

While equipping the 'Multiphase Spectrographic Goggles' in Nagrand ( Warp Fields ) you will get a buff called 'Multiphase Goggles' Just fly/ride around the Warp Fields. You can't miss it. its too obvious detect them. I hope this helps. :)

Well I've done the quest probably 6 times with no issues, now the NPC will not give it to me. Other players can get it but I don't even see it. Any help?

Quest no longer rewards Supply Bag on completion for 2.4.2 PTR build. May be a bug or might be intended, unknown at this time.

Aditional information: in order to take the readings, you must click the googles (that u have allready equiped), when near one of those "fire balls". don't waste your time trying to click / right click the item like i did for so many times.
Felt quite noob not figuring this out by myself... hope this helps anyone.

Pssst, if you can't see them - take your glasses off then right back on.

As someone else said, if you can't see them, then you aint' wearing them right. These mobs look so out of place...

You might run into a whole bunch of other people trying to their dailies as well. If you're on a PvP server, watch out for the opposing faction, as they may just fight you for a reading.

Yes. i did it this morning and it doesn't give the SSO supply package. I'm kind of dissapointed because ive gotten about 12 or so Badge's of Honor from them over the weeks. o..well should give more honor then.

Also of note when i did it this morning i only recieved 150 rep with the SSO instead of the stated 250

If you have issues finding the Distortions make sur eyou equipped your Goggles WHILE you are in the Spirit Fields.

I put these on as I was leaving Shatt and when I arrived at Oshu'Gun I couldn't see anything ... I checked the included screenshot and triple-checked to make sure I had the goggles on but still nothing after wandering around the whole place ...

Then I took them off and re-equiped them, and boom, I could see the things ...

For those who dont like reading the text box, a step by step:

1-You get this quest in Shattrat, Harbinger Haronem at 61,51

2-The quest is in NAGRAND, not in Terokkar Forest. The Multiphase are in Oshu'Gun

3-Wear the googles, you can drag them to interface to help

4-At Oshu'Gun, search around the main construction for the Oval Energy things... They are the Multiphase.

5-Just click the googles near the Multiphase and the reading is done! You dont even have to be that near to do the reading, just to avoid eventual mobs around.

ok is this bugged or what?
I put the goggles on, see the nice twinkling fires, klick the goggles ...
And nothing happens.

What the other posts fail to mention is that the goggles act as a trinket. Equip you action bar put on the goggles then find a fire and click like a trinket works perfectly. Co-ordinates are about right but they move all around the rock.

Yeah.. just a few gold, no chance of getting a Badge of Justice now. Another stupid Daily I can drop off the list. Short lived chance for those of us that don't like the raids to get decent equipment...

This is a super easy quest.

Go to Nagrand, head towards Oshu'gun, look around for these:

Put your goggles on a hotkey and click them. Easy as pie!

Reward:

Random item from the bag
10gp 10sp at level 70.

The trick is:
Do not put on the goggles before you are in Nagrand, this will cause the bug. Or, if you did so, take them off in Nagrand and re-equip them, then you can see the distortions.

Harbinger Haronem in Shattrath City wants you to use the Multiphase Spectrographic Goggles to take 6 Multiphase Readings.

I'm sure that 'gnomish inventor' is a crackpot. He was babbling about some dark distortions that have begun to appear in the Spirit Fields around Oshu'gun in Nagrand.

According to him, these, uh, multiphase... um, spectro-goggles will allow the wearer to see the distortions and take readings from them. He insisted that recording this data was fundamental to our campaign at the Sunwell. I think he's nuts, but I'm under orders to investigate anything that might help. Would you mind taking some readings?
