A very hard quest for a warlock because the robots are immune to fear and your Void's taunt

I've had difficulty on several characters I've leveled in this area due to the power, number, and fast respawn times of the Arcane Reavers.

Here's the best way I've found to do this quest.
1] Run into the building.
2] Position yourself against the north wall, underneath the second story platform -inside- the building.
3] Let the Arcane Reavers kill you.
4] Release, and run back to the building.
5] As a ghost, run inside, upstairs, and rez on the second story platform -outside.-
6] You will see a jounal. Read it to complete the quest and get the next step.
7] Jump off the platform, go around the back of the building, and run back to Farstrider Enclave.

WARNING: There may be one Arcane Reaver that patrols the ramp between the first and second stories. Time your rez so that he is not near.

There are two possibilities, either I'm extremely skilled ... or they nerfed the quest. There were no problems at all doing this with my level 16 paladin alt. Pretty straight forward fighting.

as a level 16 rogue this was extremely easy. i just carefully stealthed past the arcane reavers and killed the one that pathed up the ramp to the doorway. after i killed him, i got the journal and i was done.

Not bad as a mage. Works well with the lvl 16 mage quest "Arcane Reavers". They're not immune to frost or fire, just watch out for the fast respawn time.

Very easy to solo, I did this at level 15 with my paladin and all I did was run into the tower, up the ramp, clicked on the journal quickly, finished the one quest and accepted the next and then jumped off. I didn't use any spell or ability (although I had my bubble ready ^^)

For lower levels/classes it might be harder due to a lack of armor or just the level difference between you and the Arcane Reavers, but play to your classes's strengths or try the method Sladextekno posted.

Easy to solo as a mage. Wait for the patrol on the ramp to get to the bottom, then run in, Frost Nova everyone at the bottom of the ramp, run up, click book, get quest, jump off balcony, and into the hills. I imagine hunters could do the same with frost trap.

I would recommend that you clear the mobs while you go to the journal. You'll get much more xp from the mobs. It'll benefit you in the long run :)

its abut at 79,17... at the platform - all warlocks who are on this quest, dont use the voidwalker, you will get aggro anyway, so the imp is a bether choise, they do more dmg and gives you more hp (if u learn it that spell from demon trainer)

I found the best way to do this as a warlock is to position yourself just north of the building near the entrance then log off. Get on your 70 and kill all the arcane reavers in the area then log back onto your lock and complete quest.

Almost impossible to complete for me as a Lv 16 warlock, immune to voidwalkers taunt, fear, and drain life meant i got wtf owned.

i completed this quest as a lvl 16 lock today...

i started with cleaning from the back side of the building... i sent my void on arcane guys, used my CoA as the curse... when i see them coming over me, i turned the curse into CoW (btw, i'm not sure if it helped or not :P )... maybe it's all my luck but i didn't even used a healthstone, i just had to eat and drink sometimes... i cleaned the mobs in the front, sent my void inside and then run into the building to die there as sladextekno adviced above... i wanted to die as close as possible, and i found myself on the balcony... my void was keeping some mobs downstairs and i achieved to loot the journal while one of arcane guys was working on me...

since i had cleaned the back side of the building before, i jumped down and went away until i got the shard of my void and left combat...

here is my story of this quest, maybe i was too lucky... :)

Fun and easy as a Druid... that is a Druid with cat form and prowl, you just have to sneak your way in and up. I suggest the same to Rogues if you're not in the mood for fast re spawns and immunity to almost everything.

Its funny when the robots 'think' they see you and they make that confusing buzzing noise, lol.

Jumped off the platform, and went back to Farstrider Enclave.

Actually if your a mage the easiest thing to do is take out the two gaurds at the front of the building one at a time, basically frostbolt, pew pew pew and its dead. then run inside, ignore the Arcane Reavers all together, once they gang up on you up the stairs just frost nova, run, grab the book, hit accept, jump off the balcony and run away.

This quest is eazy if you move swiftly and efficently.

Start on the southern side of the Building, kill the guard there.
Pull the two guards by the door back to that area.
Pull the guards that patrol by the door back to that area
Stand in the door and pull the guards in the center of the room (Becareful for patrols behind you!)
Going from one side of the room to the other, kill the three remaining guards.

Profit!

The respawn timers are not an issue, if you move efficently. You have plenty of time to drink, but don't daudle. This will take you less time and gain you far more experience than the corpse run method.

Completed this quest easily with a lvl 16 pally. Pulled one of the doormen first then the other. Slowly entered killed only the one needed to get to the ramp. killed the Arcane walking down the ramp. Then got the journal and jumped of the platform.
Bareley needed to heal only a few times when I was low on health

As a Rogue if you go into stealth you can sneak past all the guards and up to the second level if you move slowly and carefully. There is one guard that walks up the stairs to where the book is kept if you time everything just right you can get in and out and end up fighting none to very few of the guards. I did this and only had to take on two so it worked very well.

well i found the coordinates addon, Tomtom, go to curse.com and get Dos-litemodpack, but go into it and get tomtom, it helps with quests, i will post where it is for those who do not have tomtom, or any coordinate mod

This one is rough for a warlock because of their immunities. However, it appears that a mage could easily slow fall onto the balcony from the nearby rocks to grab the journal, and if you time it right you can avoid the one guy who pats over near it.

Seeing how respawns are an issue, if you don't loot the ones you kill, wouldn't that slow down the repop time and make the quest easier?

I'm a level 18 hunter, and died at first. However, I managed to do it by killing the couple guarding round the door, then I just sent my pet in to attack the one stood near the ramp inside, and ran through (My pet managed to attract most of the intention), read the book as fast as I could, jumped off, and ran.

Pretty easy. It's a book on the little balcony at 79,17. Just gotta fight your way up there.

Oi. These machines patch a heavy punch, and have no issue with doube teaming against you.

Careful. This is definately one you wanna find others your level or higher, or on the same quest to help. Ive died like six times... level 17 Warlock

warlocks take care! the arcane reavers around that area are immune to drain life, fear and your void's torment... (maybe some more things as well)

Easy to solo as a lvl 17 priest, didn't die a single time. Just watch ur pulls and keep an eye on the patrolls.

It's quite possible (though I wouldn't say easy) to solo this quest as a level 17 lock. I didn't realize how easily they ganged up on you, so I died very quickly the first time I tried this. After rezzing, I took it slow - killed them one at a time until I approached from the left side of the entrance. Took out each guard indivudually, then lured out the ones inside. Make sure to heal before going up the ramp, though - there's one up there.

Travel to Dawnstar Spire in the Ghostlands and search for any clues involving Dar'Khan's past.

Descrizione

Dar'Khan Drathir is believed to have returned from the dead to rule over the armies of the Scourge in the Ghostlands. Dar'Khan aligned himself with the Scourge long ago... yet he was once a living, breathing elf. Much of his time was spent inside Dawnstar Spire, northeast of here. He hid there for many nights, scheming against his own.

Search the tower for more information, <name>. Perhaps he had a journal or kept notes. One never knows where useful information might present itself.
