The altar is located at 29,81 (no casting time).

When Aeranas (63 Elemental) spawns you have to fight him down to 15% (guessing the percentage didn't have mods set up) then you can cash in the quest to him.

Easily, easily, EASILY soloable as a 60 frost mage. Also, a good thing to have is a showable enemy cast bar and counterspell on your hotbar. (My friend couldn't do it on his 60 pally however)

This is a pure cake walk quest especially if you have stealth. Just look for a pink orb on a stand infront of a hut you will need to click it then fight the elemental that emerges to complete the quest.
You hand it in to the elemental once he has reach low enough health.

Interestingly enough, a lvl 70 horde 'lock got to the alter before I did. He beat the guy and while he was still there, I clicked the alter and the question mark appeared over his head.Free quest without the fight or a nice bug..

First things first ... clear the area! Ya Aeranas is pretty easy. lvl 62 Feral Spec Druid in Bear form KO'd him. 29,81 are correct but he wasn't elite for me?!?!

this quest would have to be the annoyest quest ever, mobs around too much patrols and i clicked on 10 eggs still no female? jeeze what the hell are these birds birthing...

Confirmed that Aeranas stops between 30%-40% health. Did as 60 Druid so definitely don't need to be 63 as quest level indicates.

The "altar" is not really an altar, it's an orb in front of the hut. Cartographer 29.0, 81.4

He turned Neutral at 37% for me (I'm guessing it's 40% but I damaged him more than the cap). He hits pretty hard so be careful and pop your cooldowns.

It was immune to my earth spells, so i didnt have any chance as elemental shaman. Had to skip the quest.

Beware of his powerful Shock (Nature) that causes 700-800 damage. He seems to cast it every 10 seconds. Took him down to 40% where he stopped attacking.

It's worth mentioning that there is a ring as a reward for a Blood Furnace quest that has all the same stats as this ring, with bigger numbers.

Beware if you're a warrior. He'll go right through your armor. You might have to burn some cooldowns if you're not geared well.

As a prot warrior, my only advantage (mitigation) was nulled in this fight. I had to come back when I was geared / leveled a little more.

I did him with a balance druid, but Wrath and roots didnt work, so I had to Starfire and Moonfirespam.

Dark mending is officially an annoying skill... Seriously it took me several minutes to kill this mob. I'm just a 61 prot pally with #$%^ dps but still..

Beware- he is EXTREMELY tough. I'd put him at level 67 if I had to guess. Even with multiple Mortal Strikes and Whirlwinds, while he was both Demoralized and Thunder Clapped, he didn't even get past 80% for me, a 62 Arms warrior, before I died after chugging a pot. Quest failed for me, I'll have to come back with at least 3 players...

Well I just did this on my paladin (level 60), and I bubbled (Divine Shield) when the elemental was at about 75%, and he went friendly and I completed the quest. Maybe it's a glitch, maybe it's because of the bubble mechanic. Anyways, i'd try it with Ice Block, Vanish, etc., too.

Avruu is on the 2nd perch (2nd floor) of the den...once you enter there will be a ledge going up. just follow this and you will see him.

Once you kill him (to get the orb) go down the same path, and go to 28,81. which is going inside the den more. There will be a hut to the right, a totem will be there. Use it to summon a 63 elemental who will not fight you until after 10sec. Damage him enough to end the fight and get the rewards.

Loc of the alter 29,82 not really and alter looks like an orb sitting in a septer, spawns a 63 wind elemental named aeranas have to fight him down till about 40%

Avruu: on the second floor, circling around a platform. He is a sort of Dark Paladin. Spells:
-Judgement of Darkness, deals additional Shadow Damage to the affected target when it receives damage. The additional shadow damage is kinda heavy, 60-150 damage.
-Dark mending, heals him for a lot, but not to full.
After having killed him don't stick around for he rezzes VERY fast and can kill you by rezzing and aggroing unexpectedly while you're doing something, like fighting kaliris for the quest. Judgement of Darkness hurts.
Aeranas: air elemental, when he spawns he'ss warn you then turn hostile and attack. He hits for Nature damage, has some Lightning spells, and is HARDER than a regular mob, but not elite though. Be prepared. Get him to approx. 20%, and he will turn friendly, allowing you to complete the quest.

Fighting Aeranas was easy as a lvl 62 rogue. When somebody helps you (unplanned) that person indeed also completes the quest. I can confirm this.

for those of you telling us where avruu is... shut up! we know where he is.. how do you think we got the stupid orb in the first place.. tell us where to turn it in at!.. do us all a favor and dont breed!

Avruu who drops the orb is on a ledge locs 26,76 and can be aggroed from opposite side and dearn solo to the opposite side for killing and the orb drop

Locations are confirmed, I suggest you do with the Birds of a Feather quest. The elemental guy killed me the first time because I didn't know he was gonna aggro on a timer... got him the second time easy.

p.s. He is immune to Earth Shock (nature dmg)

Thanks for posting where to get this... gotta realize some people don't just get an item and wonder WTF to do with it. Some, like me, use the armory to find gear upgrades (like the neck piece) then look how to start the quest associated with it. True story.

This quest has a really good reward for a hunter, but i dont know how to get it...so please can somebody tell me how can i do this...thanks for the help...

I was on the quest when some horde characters came up and spawned him. Being that I'd had a good day and didn't like starting a PvP war in Hellfire, I helped them kill him. They left and he was still "standing" there with the gold ? over his head. Apparently I'd completed the quest by hitting him a few times. I didn't even have to click on the orb to activate him or anything. Don't know if that was a bug or not, but it worked for me. I just got my necklace and went on my way.

Aeranas doesn't actually agro right away. Once you activate the alter step away and get some distance. He wont agro. As a fire mage i could then pyroblast, fireball, fireblast and he was done before even getting to me.

Find the altar the arakkoa used to enslave me. It is hidden to the southeast of the arakkoa's den. Approach it with the orb and give it to me once I'm free. In exchange for my liberty I'll reward you with powerful treasure!
