The totem gives you a buff that allows you to "slow fall" across the river to the next totem.

When you read the Totem of Akida, a furbolg ghost will spawn and lead you to the Totem of Coo.

I've done this quest twice before. Today, though, I was not given the slow fall buff. I assumed I had been given the buff, as I had before, and jumped after the NPC motioned me to follow. Fell like a rock. On the way down, I noticed that I never actually received the buff. Died.

Reported it to the GMs and the answer I received is that the quest was "...functioning normally. If you feel that the functionality should be different, then please visit the Suggestion Forum..."

So, have they removed the slowfall as of the last patch? Or should that still be functioning?

You gotta wait on top of the cliff until the furbolg gives you the buff, indicated by the wings. Lasts 60 sec, and let's you feather fall and water walk. Next totem is at 64,40 btw.

i lost track of the panther but found the totem and there was no one there to speak to so i abandoned it and ran back to re-do it but i couldn't speak to quest giver,how do i get it again?

At totem of coo there is a furbolg which level is (?) --->!
so he's very strong - he killed me with 2 hits (i'm at level 10)

so my question is - why is he there?
i see the scrrenshot on this site but on this pic there was no furbolg :D

There's ghostly furbolg that will ask you to follow him, Just follow him straight to the totem.
