If you go to the western coast of azuremyst and start heading south ull see the barbed crawlers

You should be at full health when u start taming them

I found some closer on the sea floor in the area of 21,69 (have to swim to the bottom to tame them)

Don't forget to use Aspect of the Monkey, and/or ice trap on the mob before taming.

I found it odd that when you tame them for the quest you get a thorns like ability cast on you but if you tame normally they don't have the spell.

The Barbed Crawler I found was somewhat near the Bristlelimb Village. It was farther out shore than the other Crawlers.

I wandered around for the Barbed crab guys for a while but i found them near the bridge to Bloodmyst island. the other creatures are just north of the exodar.

Coord's are 19,64 - but for people without them.

Just head south along the beach and into the water, their on the floor of the ocean.

Taming these crabs with the training rod allows your pet crab to retain their thorns spell, but after learning how to tame wild animals and going back to tame them, they loose the ability instantly. Ohwell. If you want thorns, keep a druid as a friend. XD

I found some at 22,71 but when i tame them they become instanly untamed and they attack me.
plz tell me what to do to complete the quest.

For those who don't already know... when they attack you, dont fight back... just survive long enough to channel the spell...

found some @ 20:63 on the green bit underwater (it looks like moss)

As you can see by the picture above I just found the Barbed Crawler at 22-73..
Just south of the bridge.
Very easy.

You don't have to wait for the 15 minute cooldown. After you've taimed your pet just run back to the giver, turn in the quest, grab the next one and dismiss your current pet.

Where the Skittering Crawlers are on the beach, there are Barbed Crawlers in the water, a little S. of the Dock. You can tame them in the water.

these guys seem to have Throns as an ability during the quest but you can't find one with it fterwards... O.o

I chose to come to the Draenei starting areas to quest as a Night Elf instead of at Teldrsssil (sp?). Im now level 10 and wondering if I would have to go back to Teldrassil for the Hunter pet taming quests since this quest is not available to me.

Descrizione

When the <class> first begins <his/her> path, <he/she> learns only to kill. Now it seems you are ready for more.

The Stillpine furbolgs have provided a means to master the skill of taming without months of study. They are able to carve a totem into the likeness of an animal, which you can use to temporarily bond with a creature of that type.

For your first lesson, take this totem and use it on the barbed crawlers found along the western coast of the isle.
