Might be useful to add that the Murkblood Scavengers are REALLY easy to kill, so you might wanna take more than one at a time to speed up things a little.

The drop rate on the idols was almost 90% for me, wich is pretty good :)

As Stompo says the Murkblood Scavengers are easy kill. I didn't know in the start so i instanc killed it with Aimed Shot. They have about 1k health. If you attack one you will pull the others too. They are alwasy tree together. They can potentially pull a Murkblood Raider if anyone is nearby.

They don't drop the Murkblood Idol as much as the other mobs, according to my experience.

My advice is to kill the Murblood Putrifiers which seem to have the highest drop rate, and meanwhile you can complete Murkblood Corrupters https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9862 and in the same area you can find Ortor of Murkblood for the quest Murkblood Leaders https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9867. Of course at the other states Once We Were Warriors can be done there too https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9865

Doing all three quests gives 34600 exp, and some quite nice rewards, so this quest is defintly recommended to do
