Drops off the dukes you summmon in silithus. Last night we summoned 12 of them and got a lot of loot,
and seen basically every class leggings and then some.

Which duke drops these? Random by any of those Dukes? Someone told me that The Duke of Shards drops the 'of Striking' one... Not quite sure yet though...

I really consider getting these cause Eldrich is such a ^&*!@ to drop. Did 7 runs without drop and about 4 when people just left before getting to Prince. DM west is long and people leave to BGs. @#$%^&*s.

Is this Duke guy farmable? Can you abandon the quest after killing him and retake it to summon him again, simular to the guy in Scholo that you summon with Blood of the Innocent for Valor Boots? (I know that blood drops of that Succubus Chick sometimes, but still, the idea is the same)

Guy wasn't too hard to take down, I tanked him at lvl 58 (warrior)....had a 60 priest / mage / hunter / pally

I would have had the legs, but the group turned retarded and told me I had to buy them....

Am I right in thinking that having an entire set of "of Restoration" gear is the best Healadin set available?

Just bought these for 102g on Lightbringer for my NIght Elf Warrior (60). I think I'll add agility to them with the libram quest.

I give up strength and attack power when I put these on instead of my valor legs, but I want to experiment and see if the added crit damage is worth it.

Now if I could only get barbarous blade to drop after 1274 DM north runs. . . I'm so sick of Destiny with Crusader.

I was in a group of 6 people last night and we looted a pair of these off the duke of shards. We'd killed 4 dukes that night, and these were the best drop.

I was the only Paladin, and there were two Warriors, but both Warriors had the Eldritch reinforced legplates, so didn't need.

I'm normally a Healerdin but fancied these for the extra dmg.

Later on though, I spotted a friend, who's a fury warrior, wearing the abyssal plate gauntlets and boots of striking, and some crappy legs. I just felt they'd be so much better for her than for me.

I gave them away for free in a fit of random generosity.

Decent blues -- imo not as good as cloudkeepers or tier one (but I'm a prot war what do I know). But very nice regardless.

I came across these as a horde player. How much would the resto pants go for in the Gadget/Everlook AH considering they are obviously paladin legs?

These legplates are some of the best in the game for a warrior or paladin's DPS set, even given purples. The only item statistically strictly better than this for pure DPS power is the Marshal/General pants, but those are out of reach for many players. Contrary to popular belief, Bloodsoaked Legplates and Legplates of the Qiraji Command are worse off for DPS dealing. Just do a cursory glance at the statistics to see why, given that 1% crit is equivilant to 20 AGI worth of DPS.

15 STR, 15 AGI, 1% Crit (15 STA)
DPS Value: 15+15+20 =

Bloodsoaked Legplates
36 STR (21 STA, 10 DEF)
DPS Value:

Legplates of the Qiraji Command

Note that the Abyssal Plate Legplates of Striking have a significantly larger DPS presence, while sporting 0.75% dodge from AGI and 150 hitpoints on top of that.

So unless you can get the Marshal pants, stick to Abyssal when focusing on dealing melee DPS.

I've been looking at these and the Titanic Leggings for a while now, trying to determine which one is actually better for my Warrior's DPS suit. The following is what I come up with....

(Note: My formulas could be off, I tried to get the most accurate ones I could find.)

566 vs 598 = Neglible difference (32)

= +30 Armor (makes up for armor differences)
= +30 Ranged Attack Power
= +0.75 Crit
= +0.75 Dodge

= +150 Health

30 Str
= +60 Melee Attack Power (+4.29 DPS)
= +1 Block (value)

Summary:

The Titanic Leggings offer slightly higher overall regular melee DPS, but the Abyssal Legplates of Striking offer more "bang for the buck" with a higher crit chance bonus, dodge bonus, and health. In my opinion, for a MS Warrior I think that the Abyssal Legplates are better. On the other hand, for Fury Warriors I think that either pants are a good bet (since to hit bonuses mean more there), but I don't think one stands out far from the other. However, currently the Abyssal Legplates of Striking usually seem to sell for a decent price while the Titanic Leggings are ridiculously overpriced (in comparison of worth).

Just my 2 cents...

I just bought these legplates as a lvl 59 Pally. Ive noticed though that the +6 mana regen doesn't show up every 5 sec with my BoW. I debuffed it and still nothing showing up, has anyone else noticed this?

Abyssal Legplates of Striking would be the best PvP pants you can get, excluding Warlord/Marshal pants. So these are VERY good even if you're 60 and doing BWL or whatever.

very good price.
These are one of the best you can get, there are no legplates like this one in BWL or MC (not sure about AQ).
Only Titanic Leggings (craftable but very expensive) or General's Plate Leggings (high pvp rank) beat this one.

Anyone know if it's possible to get any Abyssal Plate XXX of Sorcery? Or is it limited to Restoration and Striking, forcing us down to mail for some spell damage gear?

My group had these drop a few days ago. The "Of Restoration" version. Ended up using these to replace my LightForge leggings. Slight stat loss, but the mana regen and +heal seem to more then make up for it.

I got the legplates of Restoration - very nice for a Pally but I have never been questing in Silithus. I think I got the drop in Scholo!

I'm trying to get the full set now, I've got the greaves and belt from the AH. For the BOP items I think I'm going ot have to get rep with Cenarion Circle aren't I?

They drop off of Duke of Shards, hes pretty easy to kill, the legs are a nice shade of red. And look better than most plate legs in my opinion.

We had a set of these drop earlier off the duke of shards. The stats on them were: +15 str +15 stm +15 agi along with the +1% crit.

was killing dukes in Silithus with my guild drops 3 abyssal 2 were plate i won them on greed 1 was cloth ( priest here ) went to AH 150g each pants they sold in less then 1 hour
