Also, the drops here are great for casting and healing druids before you can gather more than four pieces of Feralheart, so run here a few times if you get the chance... between this and Feralheart, along with some random drops in higher instances. I'm expecting a slight rise in the number of balance druids during TBC.

Beware of most of the mobs in here, they pack a punch and could send your group packing if you do not deal with them the right way.

This is a must-hit for leatherworkers working on dragonscale leatherworking quest. Lots of Worn and Green Dragonscales drops, along with Thick and Rugged Leather. Make sure you bring lots of bag space, and a skinner if you aren't one yourself.

dude i totally hate some skinners because i had a priest in my group and she was skinnin when she was suposed to be healin up because we were goin to jammal'an and themobs by him fear you and we pulled about 20 more...then after 2 deaths i asked(actually i kinda shouted and swore :P) the priest to ress and she had the nerve to say "just a sec i need to skin these" omg i kicked her ass so fastshe had to change her pants after :P

Please, please, please remember to kill ALL of the Dragonkin before starting the fight with Shade of Eranikus. Eranikus will call them to fight you and you will die. =( There is a pack of Dragonkin in the passageway between the stairs and the big circle room, don't forget those too. :D

In modern WoW, this instance is way too long.

With the newer players, there is less importance on continuing straight
through the instance. We had to stop several times for players to do miscellaneous things.
Where as the last time I ran this, (about 1.5yrs ago) we were able to breeze through it.
I'd recommend looking over the layout and deciding before you start how far you want
to go, what quests you want to do and how far you will be able to progress.

My group was: me a 53 druid, a 49 druid, a 51 rogue, a 54 rogue and a 50 shaman.
Only 2 of us knew how to work as a group, so it was a very frustrating time.

E: However, we were able to defeat the Shade of Eranikus without wiping, or anyone dying.

As far as the technical aspects of this instance, it is easy. Be careful of the pulls in the main room, and watch out for the few pats. Every fight is easily tankable, and healable.

For anyone on their second character in ST, this should be easy.
For new players, just watch your aggro, and play to your class' strengths.

You don't have to kill all the dragonkin in order to kill the 'big bosses'.
However, for the last boss it'll be highly advised to kill the dragonkin, as they aid the dragon boss if you haven't killed them.

Also check the backcorners of the paths, as there may be dragonkins hiding there.

Now since this new patch you should have the boss already dead before the first dragonkins show up.

Started doing this instance when I hit 45. One run ihad a warrior tanking and a Warlock as magic DPS, but sa soon as the MT charged the Lock used Rain of Fire and then complained that the MT couldn't hold aggro...no one ressed the lock :D
It is a bad idea to use AoEs on the dragonkin because they come in large gropus and its hard for the MT to keep aggro (especially at the start of battle).
wait until MT has used Taunt/Thunderclap to get ALL the dragonkin's attention, unless you want to pull aggro off a few mobs.

i HATE this instance with a passion but it's worth doing for the class-specific quests the biggest problem is gettin a group since most other people hate it as well as I do and would rather do Maraudon or Blackrock Depths at this level but the quest rewards are worth the one run most people do here

This can be a VERY confusing instance. Keep your witts about you (leave a trail of bread crumbs if you can!) and make sure to turn the snakes in the RIGHT ORDER!

A druid is a good class to bring along; their Hibernate will make the fights against the Dragonkin packs a bit easier.

The entrance is underwater, so if you die and run back, just hold down the left and right mouse buttons simultaneously and face your character downwards to swim as a ghost. (I say this because some people actually don't know they can swim as a ghost)

Paladin tanking makes this instance easy as hell. Of course, as a Paladin, I might be a wee bit biased.

There are perhaps 6 pulls in the entire instance with 1 mob, minibosses and bosses notwithstanding. The clear majority of the pulls are 3 mobs or more, with the smallest of the dragonpacks being four elites or something like that. That it's been hit with the nerfbat in 2.3 does help.

Our party of level 50 on average (48 druid in cat, 49 druid healing, 50 Shadow Priest, 50 Protadin (yours truly) and 52 Retadin) breezed through at the least. One death when our Priest got feared into another pack and got owned before I could taunt the mobs, but the rest was easy as hell. Just be careful with pulling and the rare runners and you'll be fine.

So we didn't clear all the Green Dragons, but by the time the pack we failed to kill showed up, Eranikus was already dead. Yes, he's that easy by now. Tried to sleep me once, but a lucky resist and taunt since you still lose aggro even if you resist ended that.

Well worth reserving an hour or two for, if you can get a good group. If not, for some reason, well, the walk back turns annoying real quick. There is room for errors, but not for incompetence.

Sunken temple is easy to solo as a 70ret Paladian in Tier4. Just make sure to have plenty of Naaru Rations or else you'll run out of Mana fast. The instance is very mana intensive

I soloed Maraudon with my 59 BM Hunter, and no Outland gear, so I wonder if I have a shot at ST soloable right after I hit 61 in OL. I'll be doing some sneaking up to some of the bosses to test it out as of right now, I really wanna get the hunter quest done before I head to OL.

Suggestions from my previous runs on mains, this is quite easy as an SPriest, but you'll get a lot of close calls( easy cause of No CDs that you'll really need to worry about popping off at wrong times)

52 Undead Priest as healer and backup dps

Since patch 3.0.2 I believe all dungeons have been nerfed. We 3 man ST doing all the quests and owning all possible bosses there quiet easily. A real joke. A classic dungeon like ST deserves more respect :p

We were pulling 2 to 3 pack of elite and non elite mobs very easily , cutting them all like butter a real joy to watch.

Uber fast pace action dungeon now well worth the time you put on it (not that much since patch) and the quest scripts are beautiful to do.

A note to blizzard : Stop doing brainless dungeons and do more ST alike sytle.

Yeah I love ST although first time through can be a tad confusing. WowHead's map though works great and is all you need. A good place for skinners or LW's. Probably the most trouble I've had is getting the statues hit in the right order and making sure I've cleared the dragons before going after Eranikus. Something to watch out for really. Other than that love ST great loot awesome skinning and some nice quests.

Soloable with some difficulty as a 55 feral druid. Just stealth around to whatever bosses you need and shift to bear for the kill. Swipe is amazing for anything more than 2, and glyphed maul works great for 2 at a time. Heal as needed (rarely).

For the troll mini-bosses, I reccomend cat form. They hit very softly, and I was at full health while fighting most of them just from the imp leader of the pack heals. There are a couple (fury warrior, prot pally, warlock) that got a little dicy, you may have to barkskin heal and drop into bear form.

Make sure if you're going for Eranikus that you kill all of the dragonkin in the instance. I made the mistake of grabbing him without killing them and quickly found myself getting smashed in the face by about 50 dragonkin and an angry Eranikus. ;P Same with Jammal the prophet and the trolls around him.

I like the Aztec archetecture in this instance, and the reference from Hakkar to Quetzalcoatl, the main god of Aztec culture. Quetzalcoatl is often pictured as a feathered or winged snake and his name is made from the words quetzal (a bird spieces) and coatl (serpent).

Erankis can be 2-manned by a 50-55 hunter and Prot pally, did this yesterday as the group fell apart and we were the last two left, so we figured, "Hey, why the hell not."

Also, the dragon trash still agro you if you don't clear them, and feign death is cheap.

A couple questions here...
Do you get to kill all 4 dragons (Morphaz,Hazzas,Weaver, and Dreamscythe) all in one run? My friend tried to run me through this but we only found Morphaz and Hazzas. I figured you only get one pair of 'em( was I right? )Even when we killed Mor and Hazz they didnt drop any loot.. wassup wit dat?

anyways... level 50s need better instances.. :D

All of these items are very rare and hard to obtain, and when patch 2.3 arrived it had a small effect on the droprates, too... because it lowered the NPCs levels slightly, making the lowest level mobs inside/outside the instance simply too low level to drop the items that require you to be, for example, level 46. (Soulcatcher Halo, Silvershell Leggings...)

... as they're so rare, they are also valuable and useful, they make good bucks if you're low on cash - don't be a ninja, though, just cross your fingers and wish that you win that damn roll! :-)

This is for those people who read some of the above comments and assume they're true. I just ran ST and you CANNOT go straight to the Prophet and then Eranikis. You still have to kill the 6 troll minibosses because the barrier is still up if you dont.

Most players don't particularly enjoy Sunken Temple, mostly due to the enormous size and how easy it is to get lost.

Is the player limit really 10 players for this instance? It says the limit is 10 players for shadowfang keep, deadmines, scarlet monastery and probably all the other instances, but I haven't checked. Is it true or is it just a bug in wowhead?

Soloed this dungeon for fun as a level 64 Protection Warrior. The only room I had trouble in was the one with Jammal'an the Prophet because the High Priests will pull adds if you don't kill them fast enough. I think they are the only mob in this dungeon that try to flee when their health gets low.

Final boss fight goes very smoothly if you remember to clear out all the dragonkin as stated above. I almost felt bad for the guy.

well i have killed everything, set the statues in correct order and also killed the 6/7 mini boss's but the forcefield that the prophet is behide hasnt disapeared.
only came here for the achievment but cant finnish it.

I just did this as a lvl 50 mage with a lvl 60dk and it was pretty okay until i died... There is NO! way of ressurectning in the instance, you have to res at the spirit healer becuase the instance is underwater and when your dead you can get under water.
So i had to res. Get my 10min curse. And now stress.
This is a pointless instance to do alone!

As far as I know, there's 2 Horde Quest, 2 Alliance Quest, and 5 Quests for both factions in this place.

"Into the Temple of Atal'Hakkar" (A) - Brohann Caskbelly - Stormwind
This quest is nested, and the series starts with "In Search of the Temple" from Brohann Caskbelly.

"The Temple of Atal'Hakkar" (H) - Fel'Zerul - Stonard
This quest is nested, and the series starts with "Pool of Tears" from Fel'Zerul.

"Zapper Fuel" (H) - Liv Rizzlefix - Ratchet
This quest is nested, and the series starts with "Larion and Muigin" from Larion in Un'Goro Crater.

"Haze of Evil" (A) - Gregan Brewspewer - Feralas

First you have to complete the following chain of quests:

(43) In Search of the Temple:
You get this quest from Brohamm Caskbelly in Stormwind's Dwarven District inside a tavern (64,20). Easy quest, just head to Swamp of Sorrows and get close enough to Sunken Temple. After that, return back to Brohamm Caskbelly.

(43) To the Hinterlands:
Again pretty easy quest, just get to the Hinterlands and talk to Falstad Wildhammer in Dwarven Quater (64,21).

(43) Into the Depths:
Oh God... Well, this q seems to be really �hard�. Just talk to Gryphon Master Talonaxe.

(43) Rhapsody Shindigger:
The entrance to the location where Rhapsody Shindigger is 22,47. And again, just talk to the guy.

(43) Rhapsody's Kalimdor Koktail:
This quest requires little bit of travelling. First head to Tanaris to get 3x Roc Gizzard, they are located south of Gadgedzan and lvl 43-45. After that head to Ferelas and kill some of those bears they are lvl range 41-50 to get 3x Ironfur Livers. The last item you need is 3x Groddoc Liver and you can get them from apes, lvl around 44. When you will return this quest, he will give you (43) Rhapsody's Tale.

(43) Rhapsody's Tale:
You will recieve Atal'ai Tablet Fragment which you will deliver to Brohamm Cakbelly thus returning to where it all begun. After you will talk to him, he will give you finally (50) Into the Temple of Atal'Hakkar.

(50) Into the Temple of Atal'Hakkar
Easy quest, just search for tablets in ruins around Sunken Temple. You do not even have to go to the instance to complete this quest. Then head back and collect your reward.

(51) Secret of the Circle
(51) Into the Depths

First you have to complete the following chain of quests:

1.(51) The Sunken Temple
2.(51) The Stone Circle

(51) The Sunken Temple:
This quest is given to you by Angelas Moonbreeze in Feathermoon Stronghold (Feralas) � 32,46. She will send you to find Marvon Rivetseeker in Tanaris. Easy to find him, he is located near Broken Pillars in Tanaris (52,46).

(51) The Stone Circle:
This one pretty easy too... Just travel to Ratchet and retrieve the stone from a little chest located in front of one tent (62,38). Just get the stone and head back to Marvon. After you will give him the stone, he will give you (51) Secret of the Circle and (51) Into the Depths.

(51) Secret of the Circle:
When you first enter the instance, there are four direction to take.
1.I recommend to take the rightmost path down the stairwell and clear out the enemies in the pit. It will make it easeier for you after you activate the statues and mini boos spawns there.
2.Go back and take second path from the right.
3.When you come to the stairwells, take the stairwell down. You will be in a circle area where the balconies are.
4.Activate the statues in a correct order:

a) South
b) North
c) Southwest
d) Southeast
e) Northwest
f) Northeast

A lvl 50 mini boss will spawn in a pit below you (pit you already cleared). Jump down and kill him.

5.Click on a giant snake statue in the middle to complete the quest and collect three rewards.

(51) Into the Depths:
You complete this q along with (51) Secret of the Circle, so there is really nothing more to say : )

(53) The God Hakkar

First you have to complete the following chain of quests:

1.(44) Screecher Spirits
2.(47) The Prophecy of Mosh'aru
3.(50) The Ancient Egg
4.(53) The God Hakkar

(44) Screecher Spirits:
This first quest is from Yeh'kynia in Tanaris near Steamwheedle Port. Easy quest, just go to Feralas and use Yeh'kinya's Bramble on any Screecher you kill. They are lvls around 44. If I rember correctly, I found them just south of High Wilderness. Use the Bramble on on death bodies and then talk to the spirit.

(47) The Prophecy of Mosh'aru:
This is an elite quest in Zul'Farrak. If you do not feel the urge to do full Zul'Farrak run, just ask some high lvl friends to go with you and kill those two mobs. First one is from Theka the Martyr (he is in a section with bunch of scarabs) and the secon one is form Hydromancer Velratha (near the little pool where you summon Gahz'rilla).

(50) The Ancient Egg:
This elite quest is pretty tough. I read that some people were able to solo it, but I do not like the idea of dying severat times just to get closer and closer to the Egg itself. It is an option for some of you, or just ask someone to help you with it. Grab the Egg and return back to Yeh'kinya. After this one, she will give you (53) The God Hakkar.

(53) The God Hakkar
You have to enter the Temple and get to the little room where four flames in corners are. Use the Egg and kill everythin as fast as possible. Use the blood from snakes to put out the four fires. And then... well.. just kill the boss : ). It is endurance fight so be prepared for that...

(55) The Essence of Eranikus

You will get this quest inside the instance after you have killed Avatar of Hakkar. In order to complete this quest you have to combine Oathstone of Ysera's Dragonflight and Chained Essence of Eranikus. The Chained Essence will be lost after that so I did not finish this quest and kept the trinket... Thi short chain of quests ends in Winterespring, you will get some experience but I do not think that it is that worthed.

I have been leading runs and exploring Sunken Temple for over a year, we have it down to a 2(roughly) hour run killing 100% of everything including snakes level 1 as we run through.

1). all feather mobs need......no MUST be killed to open green force shield for Jammal's lair
2). ALL statues must be turned on with green aura to SPAWN boss and activate the gaint Snake statue
3). Hakkar can be summoned from a reuseable scroll found in Tarnasis along the beach to the EAST with a troll shaman and some venders near Gantazian they also give 40ish quests to both Horde & Allaince, the 4 Burning plates must have the flying mobs blood thrown on it ......when all 4 flames are out then Hakkar spawns.....(easy kill nice loot)
4) ALL dragons, dragon kins and anything else up that Earrkus level MUST be killed or when u start in on Earrkus they will join the battle and it will be a wipe
5) Morphaiz and his pall once killed will summon 2 more dragons out in the big circle room you can pull single and at yer leasure....Dreamweave and soemthing else. For Morhpaiz kill the lower level first......he is easier and drops faster than his big brother. depending on group level may have to 1/2 way through little ones fight put a pet or off tank bigger one to keep off healer....do not need to go toe to toe can reverse kite mean hit hit a little and have the off tank run around in large healing range circles till smaller dragon is down............saves lives & mana.

I will not give directions as to this hall or travel this way but will give advice.

FEATHER MOBS
There is a hallway that has the NPC's that drop the feathers this is the first area we hit.......to work on marking and team work. its a little confusings as you circle around and run down the steps to get to each one but these guys go down easily. u cirlce a ring and to the left as you circle the circle will be steps run down kill the small room of mobs then normally hang left to feather boss balcony. These Balcony boss keep Jammal's sheild in place kill them shield drops & u will know when the shield is down because there will be some texting that claims it is so.

STATUES
The area that seems to confuse most is the Statues. the best way to do this area is to go and clear out the hallway and each balcony mob as u go. As your clearing try to turn on each statue by the time to clear the whole hallway and all the balcony's you'll have 1 or 2 statues turned on. Send each party member to the statues that are not turned on and have them start clicking. THERE IS NO I repeat NO PENALITY for turning them on or trying to. there is a order but it is all AUTO meaning whoever is next with their statue that is the one that will turn on until each one is on...........none of that NE SW SE crap do it this way save the headache. When all statues are on the Boss will spawn down below.

Now go to the statue balcony that is over the ALTAR down below, u can just FALL not jump off and will land near the top of the steps next to the altar. while the boss and his 2 mobs are near the statue. We always clean the altar area to give a little working room for the Swamp Boss. Just wait for him to PAT back to the steps and get some or pull him........u wait can have him alone u not wait u get him and 2-3 other mobs your choice. if questing click the large snake statue

Work way around the swamp boss/altar walkway kill off the dozen mobs fer exp pts & loot (that's why yer there anyways) now work your way back up stairs near instance.

Gratz u cleaned out the basement/lower level crap......the little larvas have drop blue & purple on our runs so we kill it all.

DRAGON KIN
Work way up kill Dragon kin & anything else not in yer group.....we start with casters then highest level down all dps on marked mobs fight should be 30 secs-1 mintues for each mob in the group if that. Kill all dragon kins and anything else in this large room in the center is a hole that drops down to the basement where the swamp boss is......there no reason to be close to that hole but if you fall u die from the damage u receive from the fall.......its a long way down.

MORPHIAZ & little Brother

When u pull u get them BOTH

kill Little one first probably half way through the fight Big M will target healer if you have one....off tank, pet tank or whatever but not toe to toe.....let tankage gather aggro then run in large circle close to heal range while group takes little one down.....reduces mana needed for healing this way. Big M got mere hit pts and takes longer to kill.......I personally think the little one has a slight DPS increase than Morphiaz but its just my opinion, and that is why I chose to take the little one first.....1+ years it worked well.

HAKKAR

when u enter upper Dragon Kin area Hakkar hall to right and is the First 2 halls on right. Before him or any other boss we kill every single Dragonkin...
U can Egg summon him.......or scroll summon him. Scroll is from Taranis Shaman along beach and the scroll is reuseable. When fight starts door gates close....snakes spawn non elite...basically kill it all....the FLYING mobs drop blood everytime, we group loot so whoever loots just run to which ever flame is on gear box it and flame is out.........flame may relight or may not......but just keep killing everything stick together and put out all flames....when all flames are out Hakkar is able to attack and be attacked. The only thing about this whole fight is a timer....the Dragonkin caster will come in to place Hakkar back ...they can cast on him a little but do not let them go unchecked or your Hakkar run will be over.....you can normally get hakkar spawned and killed before 3 Dragonkin make it into room.

JAMMAL
Bunch of undead and alive mobs. We always pull out in hallway to the back wall. The mobs CAN fear, which can be disspelled.....if I play my healer I pull then swing around to place myself between group and Jammals lair......if a group member become feared I can dispell before they reach the lair and we receive no adds. AS healer I pull with shackle......if tank ....well just pull u get groups of 3-4. Some of them when they die spawn timed ghosted that move slow .....u can not hurt them so if fighting a pocket and one pops ......just keep backing up out of ghost range till it despawns maybe in 15 secs.

We go 100% dps on Jammal, Jammal has a spell that turns the target into his $%^&*...u can run out into dragonkin circle room and aggro will drop and regroup if you feel a wipe coming.......when u kill him kill his guard......just make sure u killed his whole room first.
Jammal not that bad if everyone DPS him he casts nothing if you play grab ass well.....you become his #$%^&
ERRAKUS

KILL ALL MOBS IN this area no excpetions....all dragons & dragonkins then u get free shot at him.
Take him anyway u want..........we always go in waves of about 10secs.....or less and rape him.

That is all great zone GREAT drops good luck
My group rule 3 warning for not targeting the correct marked mobs after that u get booted...makes group smooth controlled DPS and fast runs....many groups only kicked out one person.

In full epics, can easily solo everything except the dragon parts and the lower level... Haven't been able to test the dragon's, going solo, yet, though I do know that the special 52-53 dragons are soloable.

As exciting as it is to hear about your group composition, what I'd rather see here is a decent cliff's notes walkthrough. Gathering from several sources, here is my short walkthrough:

Zone in, take the hard right. Head all the way down the stairs killing everything in your path. Keep going to the pool with the altar, kill enough to get to the pool and kill the mobs in the pool.

Go back up the stairs and at the entrance area take a hard right (this is the front right path looking in from the instance line.) When you hit the up/down stairs, go down. This should lead you to a hall that changes your minimap to say, "Hall of Serpents." Go in and kill everything in your way making your way to the southern statue room. The order to deactivate the rooms is south, north, southwest, southeast, northwest, northeast.

After you activate all the statues, jump down or walk back to the pool room you cleared earlier and do the Atal statue event and Into the Depths if any party members have it, then go back to the entrance room.

Take the forward left path (the front right one will work also.) and the stairs leading up until you get to the circular hall that changes your map to say, "Hall of the Cursed." From here you have to find all the side stairs and rooms that lead to the 6 minibosses. After all of these bosses are killed, go back to the entrance room and take the left path.

From the left path you run into dragons, LOTS of dragons. Don't jump into the hole in the middle of the big room (although from this guide you would have cleared the mobs below it already, it supposedly takes levi/safe fall/pally bub to survive.) Make sure your tank knows how to AE taunt because the dragons come in packs that can really put the beating on cloth wearers. After some good aggro it should be safe to heal or damage, mages wait until the priest starts healing and by then hopefully the tank has enough AE aggro that neither of you gets attacked. You can't kill the bosses on this floor unless you killed the 6 bosses in the circle. Kill Jammal`an the Prophet/Ogom the Wretched and then Dreamscythe and Weaver and then do The God Hakkar quest if anyone has it. Finish up by killing Shade of Eranikus and you are done.

When fighting the last boss, he will call upon all green dragons that are still alive in the instance, i was doing this with my 70 and skipped nearly all the mobs, i actually died when 100000 dragons jumped on me.

However, you do not have to kill all dragons to attack the last boss. simply attack the boss and go out of combat(e.g. rogues attack and vanish) and watch the huge line of dragons run to the boss(make sure nobody is in the way), the dragons will stay near the boss for a few seconds and eventually run back to the originial positions. Once the LAST dragon starts running, attack the boss and take him out, he will call for help, but it seems when the mobs are resetting, they will not run back and defend the last boss.

If you don't play very long a day, or like to skip mobs, I hope this helps.

Just soloed everything very easily with my 60 level warlock. Didn't even use a health funnel... No special items, all my items are from BRD or lower...

P.S. Blizzard just ruined preTBC dungeons...

I died inside the instance, and then couldn't get back because you need to swim under water to get in. And to make matters worse, I now can't find the spirit healer.

Am I missing something? Is there some way of getting back to the instance when dead?

Here's my WoW Classic, 2019 Review of "The Temple of Atal'Hakkar".

Back when I ran The Temple of Atal'Hakkar (also known as Sunken Temple or ST) over 15 years ago, I was a dumb, ignorant, 14-15 year old kid, playing a troll Hunter, who was just following the group and shooting my bow at things other people were attacking. In 2019, I'm now playing the tank who is leading the group and I can quite easily say that The Temple of Atal'Hakkar is the most horribly designed dungeon in all of World of Warcraft's history.

While the layout of the area isn't really a maze, it consists of a lower, upper and central area that are all interconnected through a series of winding stairs, corridors and balconies. None of these areas posses any real distinct differences or clear labels, so getting lost is incredibly easy for a new timer or someone who hasn't seen the place in +10 years. Each area is riddled with trash and mini-bosses that must be cleared to progress, with most trash having a relatively short re-spawn time, so keeping track of where you have been through cleared areas is not recommended.

The four notable bosses in the instance all require some kind of tedious condition to complete.
- Atal'alarion basically requires you to clear the entire lower area and click a series of statues on balconies in a row. It's easy to see why this boss is skipped 90% of the time considering his loot table.
- Avatar of Hakkar requires a long, elite quest line to summon and has an event that can easily become out of control with a group that doesn't know what they are doing.
- Jammal'an the Prophet requires you to clear his entire amphitheatre area of trolls, or they will aggro when the boss is pulled. Not the worst, but still pretty annoying considering how much trash you have killed already to get here.
- Shade of Eranikus, oh man, where to start with this $%^&*!@. This guy is basically the whole conclusion of the dungeon. To fight him you have to kill all the troll summoners on the balconies which requires killing most trash on the upper level. Kill Jammal'an the Prophet, which mentioned before requires clearing more trolls. Kill 4 green drake mini bosses that spawn that have a chance to drop okay gear, but in most cases won't. CLEAR ALL the green dragonkin in the instance, or they will agro when you pull Eranikus, running from literally the other side of the instance. As for Eranikus himself. He's level 55, which is quite high for the rest of the dungeon, he hits very hard even on an appropriate level/geared tank. He stuns players in Melee occasionally. But the worst, is that he casts a 15 second, un-dispellable, un-interuptable sleep on the target with the highest threat (AKA, your tank) which drops all agro. This basically means you MUST have an off-tank or at least an evasion Rogue unless you want Eranikus to 2 shot your cloth dps/healer.

At the end of all this, all you get is a pretty mediocre trinket reward from a quest. The whole dungeon doesn't even have much Pre-Raid BiS gear either despite being around the same level as BRD. The only real reason to do this dungeon is for completion sake and the decent chunk of EXP you get from 5-6 quests (most of them chains). I can definitely say I'm not touching this dungeon again until the class quests are released and I'd recommend most people avoid it till the same reason.

I didn't even mention stuff like the long, elite filled passages just to get into the dungeon, how out of the way the instance is for Horde players or the run back if you wipe.
