With Poison application spec 3/8 BF and popping this trinket it is godly pvp, and to add to the fun use to different types of deadly poison, seriously give it a try!

This trinket really shined in WSG when trying to take down a flag carrier. When this item was still percent- based, it was very easy to just mow down the flag carrier with this active. There was almost no way to heal through this combined with Instant Poison, two high speed daggers, and 5/5 improved poisons (80% chance to apply on every swing!)

With our new rogue talent Envenom this trinket (+22 damage to Deadly poison dot) has still some purpose.

this owns if you use it with instant poisons you have a 50% chance to hit for 130 more damage on each hit for a time of 20sec, your enemy will die fast if youre a dagger rogue with 2x instant poison and this.

This trinket is sick what are u guys taking about lmao! +30% to instant poison is crazy.... i have +10% instant on talents... +3 BF set... is about 65% chance to land instant poison thats SICK! u have 2 fast daggers and u will get at least 800+ more dmg on a target... use slice and dice and u will get around 1000+ dmg thats crazy! if u think this trinket sucks u on crack!

after seeing that, according to my dps counter, instant poison = 8-10% of my damage. so, yeah i take it back. i would use this trinket.

Venomous Totem dropped last night, every other rogue passed for him. I'm saving dkp for armor.

Visual Effect: Turns your rogue avatar green, does not lay a totem on the ground.

Percent to apply poisons can be increased:

Improved Instant Poison (Max): 10%
Bloodfang 3-piece bonus: 5%
Venomous Totem (for 20 seconds): 30%

45% increased chance to instant poisons
35% increased chance to poisons.

Base Percentages for all poisons (Best rank pre-A'Q):

Instant 6: 20%
Wound 4: 30%
Deadly 4: 30%
Mind-numbing 3: 20%
Crippling 2: 30%

Uses-----
PvP Use 1: Imagine Warsong Gluch poping a V.Totem with crippling. For 20 seconds your crippling poisons can be applied twice as often in the same ammount of time. Couple that with Eskhander's claw (Off-hand), Icy chill Enchantment and a sprint - You're bound to make sure the flag carrier isn't going to be going anywhere fast.

Keep in mind you're not also fighting against the flag carrier for poison cleaning, you're also fighting his/her friends with cleansing. Against any organized group they will clean and scrub their flag carrier.

PvP Use 2: For combat rogues...
V.Totem + Adrenaline rush + Blade Furry. Inside any group of enemies with a healer, you'll make a good effort to kill, severely damage all in your grasp for 20 seconds. 1500 damage is a hefty extra load to deal to two (or even one) opponent.

Example Blackwing Lair fights:
Vaels (Second boss) - When the warriors are within executing, pop this on to deal more damage to the dragon.

Firemaw (fourth boss) - mid-way through the fight, when coming out of the hiding corner, hit the adrenaline rush and V Totem to unleash plenty of dps on the drake. Don't forget to feint and when it's time to go back to heal and let the buff wear out, Vanish in the corner to wipe your aggro and to clear your aggro ceiling completely.

There's plenty of other uses for both PvP and PvE, just be smart what you're doing and realize that the extra damage will compete with the warrior's aggro ceiling, it's a safe bet to vanish after the trinket is on cooldown

Vanish Cooldown: 5 Minutes
(3-piece nightslayer : 4.5 minutes)

Just get a trinket swapper, when it's on cooldown - swap it out with another trinket, when you're ready to use it, put it on for some more poison loven.

Let me tell you. This trinket is far from useless. Its not somthing youd equip all the time, you should have the DM trinket or a Drake Fang to accompany Blackhands.

it's simply a warrior killer.

Coat your main hand dagger with instant poisen, equip, and go to town with a warrior. I counted about 5-7 instant poisen procs on each warrior I owned with this trinket. I also have 3x Bloodfang, but nothing in the instant poisen spec.

It's prolly useful on other classes, mainly ones that dont fear or teleport away from you.

EDIT: I just noticed this trinket also makes you turn green!

The priest trinket does nothing but make them look like their rezzing.

ok, Troll(Beserking) Combat spec->Blade fury, Assn. spec->crits+imp.instant poison.

ok, now I use 2 1.3s daggers...
I (attack at +70% speed for 15 sec. + every attack hits a second enemy) every 4-5 min. AND EVERY HIT HAS A 90% CHANC TO INSTANT POISON...

for the speed breakdown:
+20% slice and dice
+20% +attacks hit a second enemy: Blade fury
+10%-30%: Beserking

now, add lifestealing or something similar to both daggers and tell me this trinket still sucks

once again with people talking bad about the bwl trinkets..THis one can be extremely efficent if used right.But one of the main factors it increases by a percent which means even when the expansion comes out or the expansion of that its still going to be just as useful.People complaining its not worth the slot.Just put something else in when its on cooldown not like you have to have it on 24/7.Im a dagger spec and i love mine for pvp and for pve.

just started BWL and killed broodlord, this drops first time...

all other rogues dont want it, so i won for a small amount of DKP.
after trying it without any poison talents i have to admit its really good, i just swap it when its off its cd and the amount it makes instant poison procc is amazing :D

im currently dagger specc and im planning to change to assas from my combat build and gonna test this baby out in tyrs when i do, just to see what it causes to the scarlet mobs...

cant wait :P

I was about to try to get this as my guild was going to be doing some classic raiding in BWL, and I wanted it because yes, its just as worthwhile at lvl 70.

I have this trinket and find it incredibly worthless. I only use it when I'm playing around in duels but I would rather keep my 2% crit chance and insignia of the horde instead during world PvP. It's so bad that none of the rogues actually wanted to waste DKP on it.

I don't understand why any of you think this trinket is bad...it's kind of like the rogue version of talisman of EP (with exception of the ZG trinket). It will significantly increase your dps, though for a short amount of time. Definitely worth replacing one of your other trinkets once every five minutes for a ton of instant poison procs.

Honestly I prefer Windfury Totem MH with instant poison OH. I can see how this might help since I keep SnD up all the time but I don't think it would cause OH poisons to proc enough to balance out the loss of HoJ.

if you guys have any MC experience, would you take this item without even thinking. Slice and Dice is used very often in MC and if you applied Instant Poison and used this trinket, itll up your dps by God knows what.

yeah its not like almost every mob in high-lvl pve is immune against all sorts of poisons,but nice-to-have for pvp and duels.there's better stuff out there to put in the trinket slot though.

pretty sure a rouge with a fast offhand and slice and dice can utilize this to do a good deal of additional damage over those 20 seconds.

x = weapon speed

(20/(x * .7)) * (130 * .3)

.7 is speed multiplier with s&d
130 is average damage from poisons

so a 1.3 speed dagger would do just around 900 additional damage, and the slower mainhand sword will ussually do the same (unless your dual weilding daggers, in which case it would be more)

So theoreticly 1500 to 2000 additional damage just from the poisons this thing lets you land in 20 sec. Not bad for a trinket.

It's pretty situtational,for example if you have to get crippling poison quickly on hunter you can use this.
Yeah,nice with fast weapons+instant poison vs other melee classes.

This is IMO a pve trinket. I just got this and it's fun to play with. If you're hoping to use it in duels, I'm not sure how, since in pvp a rogue generally needs to have cripples up all the time. And I doubt you are having too much trouble landing cripples.

In PvE however it is a very good trinket. Especially in BWL on mobs that are vulnerable to nature, on which instant poisons proc for 300-400 damage. Slice and dice + daggers + this on a nature vulnerable mob is total ownage. And it's a hearty amount of burst damage on any mob that is not immune to nature damage.

It's really not bad at all, especially if you are willing to vanish and swap it out after you use it.

It's on a five minute timer. It will not cause aggro if you are managing your aggro well, espcially using vanish. Venomous Totem is underrated IMO. With SnD up and daggers on any non-resistant opponent this trinket will add 60+dps for the duration.

Unfortunately it breaks stealth.

how bout something that is actually rogue like? you stab some one with posion theyer gonna get posioned. woop. why not something that severs the spinal chord at the base of the neck, instantly killing the target. reqires stelth. 60min cooldown.

i personally think this would make a great trinket for pve damage.. and this is how you can use it:

get 3 cp's, pop this trinket, slice and dice, blade flurry, adrenaline rush.. this is 50% increased attack speed including adrenaline rush. at the end of 20 seconds when this totem has run out, vanish and switch out this trinket with drake fang talisman.
