At 20% Terokk becomes Immune to all attacks, and you'll see a blue flare shortly afterward, where a bomb will drop down. Drag Terokk into the flame to break his shield. He'll become enraged but you'll be able to kill him.

The Ancient Skull Pile respawns after roughly ~15 minutes following a party killing Terokk.

I did this a little bit ago but did not complete thanks to a group of alliance(who died far more times than we did). I was curious though if i need to go through the long proccess to obtain a Time-lost offering again in order to complete?

I've noticed that whenever this quest starts WoW lets out a zone-wide /yell indicating such, which almost inevitably leads to a bunch of people from the opposite faction coming over to mess things up (if you're on a PvP server). Anyone else think Blizzard needs to get rid of this so people can do the quest without guaranteed interference?

This quest gives 1000+ reputation with Sha'tari Skyguard.
Terokk gives 200+ reputation when killed.

1200+ reputation from one quest aint bad :)

Exactly what quests do you need to do before being able to accept this one? Or is it Reputation that is needed to be able to take the quest?

Downed with 3 man. Holy paladin (with full s3 gear) tanked it and Holy priest healed. Fire mage (me :) as dps. Shield came too fast, I didn't have any time to nuke him.

Learned this the hard way...the summoner of Terokk MUST remain in the circle for him to not fade away right after you summon him. Blew the jar, what a waste.

If you're having problems with him, I would advise an off-healing dps who can help the healer keep the tank alive whilst the dps is waiting for the fires. This shouldn't be needed, but can really help if you do happen to be struggling. I would also say make sure your tank knows about the mechanic behind the fires before the fight. That may seem a little dim, but it was really frustrating when our tank was dumbfounded by the shield, and didn't seem to be able to respond to our instructions.

We did this last night.

I started working on the Adversarial Blood quest just a few days ago, farming scrolls in and around my dailies, and grouping for summons where I could find a group (my friends list is maxed out so it's not too hard for me to find ppl).

As of yesterday I had 3/4 of the mini-boss quest items and was 8k into revered w/Skyguard; we formed a group, farmed the additional scrolls needed for latecomers (my group had to farm maybe 50-60 more scrolls to bring everyone up to speed); 2.5 hrs later (total) we killed Terokk and I was up to 11.5k rep. So I got 3.5k skyguard rep just for the tail end; about 2/3 of that was from killing arrakoa and birds clearing skull piles and farming scrolls. All told I would estimate my total rep gain from working on Adv Blood/TD to be @5k total.

I was involved in maybe 15-20 mini-boss takedowns, and each one dropped a random lvl 70 BOP blue; that's better reward than most (group) quests I've done so far -- and it's repeatable, which is nice if you have a group and want to load up on blue gear.

The blue end reward is very nice also, and don't forget Terokk's drops; we got a nice blue trinket for the tank and I've read that he can drop epics.

If that doesn't motivate you, then I assume you just have no interest in dailies or rep grinding in general, because that's all this is; some grinding (it's way, way less than you would do for Consortium, Kurenai etc).

Now the cautionary note for those who are interested in trying this; you really want 4 or 5 for the mini-bosses; it says it's a 3 man quest, and that's fine for the basilisk and arrakoa, but it's going to be iffy on the wind serpent and very hard on the giant, with just 3, so the more the better - plus you will need 5 (+) for Terokk, so better to line some people up now and you will be ready to do Terokk right after.

Terokk is where all that extra scroll farming pays off; your ancient offering gets consumed when you summon him, but everyone gets quest completion when he dies, so each ancient offering = 1 more try at bringing down Terokk. If you run out of offerings you have to go back to farming, so here is where you will be really glad you helped everyone else in the group get their offering.

Terokk is a real pain in the butt; a competent 5 man can get him down to 20%, but then all hell breaks loose when he starts using his shield and spraying his AOE attack with wild abandon. You need healthstones, bandages and potions to keep everyone alive because the healer is going to have his hands full at this point just keeping the main tank alive while the MT tries to drag Terokk over to the next smoke bomb. We only pulled it off on the 4th try with the help of a second party; we were (basically) doing everything right, so while I'm sure this can be done with just 5, you had better be A) very skilled B) very well balanced and C) very well equipped, otherwise I'd highly recommend pulling in some friends or guildies for artillery support.

The boss can take quite a beating, buthe does die.

Thing is this, at 25% he becomes immune to damage and has to be moved by tank to the blue fire on the side of the summoning circle, once he gets burned or so by that fire he does ones again take damage!

Shadowbolt Volley: Does about 1.8k shadow damage to everyone in his vicinity. A paladin's shadow resistance aura or a priest's shadow protection can help to counter this.
Chosen One: One person on his aggro list is made the chosen one for about 10 seconds, increasing his size, damage and healing while everyone else's damage and healing is decreased.
Immunity shield: At about 20% health he raises a shield that makes him 100% immune to all physical and magical attacks. To shatter the shield you have to drag him to the "blue smoke markers" where the Sha'tari Skyguard will drop bombs. When his shield is down he will enrage, increasing his damage and the frequency of his shadowbolt volleys. Throw everything you got at him when his shield is down. After a few seconds he will raise his immunity shield again. Simply rinse and repeat until he is dead.

The fight is not too hard with a balanced group (1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS). You can summon this boss indefinitely as all the quests to summon the 4 mini bosses and Terokk are repeatable. Killing Terokk (not handing in the quest) yields +200 reputation with the Sha'tari Skyguard.

Atleast there are 2 repeatable daily quests in Skettis that can be had each day. Something else to do instead of grinding day in and out for the dusts, then the scrolls, then more dusts and more scrolls........

I did get a drop on a JC recipe while killing the Time-Lost guys for a SolidStarOfElune :-)

This guy seems pretty good for farming BOE blues and epics. Is it possible to kill him, restart the quest, and farm him again? (Required your group stays with you)

We just summoned him and he said something about how we will pay for this and then he despawned. And the summoning item is gone. Another bugged quest ftl. Wow is so beta.

sub par rewards for such an anoying questline, i mean come on, it takes craploads of farming, then it takes groups to do the last two quests. not worth the effort for the items, i doubt the gold will be very much either, the rep isnt bad though but should still be more

42.58G for ONE quest, that's a really awesome reward mate.

Then you can also add in the money you make from farming all the texts needed.

Something that most ppl seem to miss...at the point you need to be to complete this, sure, the gear is garbage. But you're not doing this quest for gear, or epic battles, or bragging rights - you're doing it for Skygaurd rep. It will take you a MONTH of dailies to grind from to Exalted if you don't follow this chain up.

True, the rewards are a little sub par, but in this case it could be helping out with loot as well, +1000 to the skyguards.

Took us two goes, but we downed him. He droped the epic too! Terokk's Wisdom we rolled, the lock won.. :(

Apparently this quest is currently bugged on TBC classic right now: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/terokks-downfall-quest-bugged/1094398 (flare starts to cast then fails) - My group tried to 4 man this without a tank or healer. We didn't get to that part. RIP

NPCs dont spawn the flares to remove the shield

Quest is currently bugged in TBCC. The Flares don't spawn so you can't kill him after he used his Divine Shield.

It's worth mentioning that you need to be under the effects of Elixir of Shadows in order to see the bone pile to summon Terokk. I flew around in circles trying to figure out why I wasn't able to get him to spawn when that small detail dawned on me :)
