I did this quest today and the drop rates were much better than listed here. I got them at 50% off of Angerclaw Bears and at 77% off of Felpaw Wolves. Maybe I was just lucky, or maybe they boosted the drop rate. Im not sure either way.

for me the only one that had a good drop rate was the felpaw scavengers they dropped everytime when the others dropped every 5th time

The Wowhead client counts drops from people who aren't on the quest, so the droprates appear lower than they really are.

The droprate on this was utterly horrible for me today. I tried everything ... /script LeaveParty() ... relogging. Droprate averaged 15%

22 kills, 11 claws. Nice 50% drop rate. Switched back and forth between the wolves and the bears, level 48-ish near the Emerald Sanctuary.

I could only get the drops off the Felpaw wolves, never the bears.

Drp rate was pretty good off the wolves, though.

I was stupid and destroyed the Aquematus rod, now I have to remake it by gathering all the stuff again, but I've killed about 30 mobs and haven't gotten a SINGLE drop...

This is my personal experience...

Killed 13 bears (mostly Angerclaw Grizzly) and got 7
Killed 10 wolves (mostly Felpaw Ravager) and got 4

Took approx 25mins...

60 Paladin - Kargath server - soloed

ok so i did the quest and after getting the rod i still have the book, claws and irontree heart.... do i need these for anyhing else?

These bears drop them almost 90% of the time. Especially around coords 44,63. For those without TB that's across from the mountain range(right side of road) beneath Jaedenar. Wolves have only about 10-20% in my experience.

Yeah, I was planning on going into Ironforge and killing the barmaid for these, but it seems like the bears would be a little easier...

I spent time killing Angerclaw Maulers (cosmos 38,44), There was about 10-12 that spawned so I didnt have to wait and the drop rate was very good. Around 90% of the time a silvery claw dropped, much better than wolves.

Drops very often near 44.82. Just kill wolves around. Drop rate ≈ 60%

1/4 drop rate Bears give 1/10. Hunt inj the north close to the flight path.

11 Bears - 6 drops.
13 Wolves - 5 drops.

Fairly good drop rate.

Someone mentioned making another "Silver Totem of Aquementas" might be a good idea - but other than that...?

god about every 10 killed you get a drop..so are 90% of these wolves and bears handicapped nad dont have claws? at least this isnt as bad as the drop rate for murloc heads...im pretty sure they all had heads though

After you finish this you gwet the stuff back from her.

You get another quest in the linken chain and its to go to tanaris and go to a stone circle and use them to summon a guy to make the totem.

44,63 - 44,67 is a good place. A lot of bears there, and they dropped about 50% for me. Go there, and you will finish the quest fast.

i killed about 10 wolfs with nothing then i killed one bear and one dropped

killed about 30 mobs to get the claws but for me they dropped from felpaw wolves at a better rate. Killed one tree to get a heart.

I did this quest as a 56 mage, and I didn't have any problems with the drop rate. I would AoE 3 of them at a time, and on average I got 2 claws out of the 3 mobs. I think there was 1 time where I only got 1.

Definitely kill the Angerclaw GRIZZLY bears around the Ironwood area. I was killing the others in southern Feralas before someone said to try up north. Drop rate was much better, 1 in 3 at the worst, often one after another. Wolves did drop a little slower but if you clear the bears they're worth trying.

I had about a 75% droprate off Felpaw Scavengers, about a 20% droprate on Angerclaw Maulers, and close to the same off Angerclaw Bears.

I don't have cosmos, but I got 7 of these claws in a row off of the Scavengers a little west of the road by those 5 ponds NE of Bloodvenom Falls.

I got 5 the first 10 angerclaw bears i killed, just kill anythign with 4 legs in felwoods and ull get 11 of them in no time

Ok, this one took a little while. Here are my rates:

Angerclaw Maulers killed-14, claws obtained-3
Angerclaw Grizzlys killed-10, claws obtained-3
Felpaw Scavengers killed-12, claws obtained-4
Felpaw Ravagers killed-3, claws obtained-1 =

As for the tree heart, got it on my second kill, np.

Felpaw Wolf just right behind the sanctuary drop claws as do the bears already mentioned below.

Kill the Felpaw Scavengers in Felwood for these, and do double duty by getting lunch for your pet. The droprate is really good with the scavs, and my bear looves their tender meat.

Got mine off Felpaw Scavengers, roughly 50% drop rate. I was 55 at the time, so I mowed down these 49-50 mobs.

If you don't open the satchel given to you for the next part of the quest you will start to find these again. DO NOT destroy them or it will drop the quest.

These dropped from bears in Felwood even when I was not on the quest Silver Heart, and I was confused for a moment – but I hadn't yet completed Aquementas, and that also involves these claws (they're contained in Eridan's Supplies, but while you're on that quest you can still have these drop. I would guess these are safe to delete; UlithiumDragon's comment says destroying them will drop the quest, but when I tried this the quest remained in my quest log. (Specifically: Aquementas was picked up in my quest log, I hadn't yet opened Eridan's Supplies, and the only Silvery Claws in my bags were drops from bears.) Only 11 are needed to complete the quest.
