After gathering all the materials for this (Thank Guild Banks!) and hours upon hours of farming with guilds (Two particularly - I really appreciate your help) I got this ring a few weeks back. The nice solo stats and inclusion of Spell Damage make this an extremly nifty ring, especially for Pre-40Man instances

It's a great set if your a protection or a holy paladin. However if your a Retribution your getting nothing here that would benefit you more then other items period.

Ret pallys dont need mana? obviously your not a ret spec paladin. i use my mana faster than a holy pally ever could

Ret Pallys do too need mana, im a ret pally and i use 1/2 a mana bar each fight, by using SoC judgement then rebuffing with SoC. So yes, Ret pallys do use alot of mana.

it doesn't say it's for 'holy pala' or 'prot pala' or 'retr pala'

it just says 'paladin'

Anyway, I am a holy paladin myself and I would like the ring on this set, though the other 2 items aren't that great. Kill Kurrinaxx and Venoxis in ZG once and you get a weapon that is much better for a holy paladin than this one. Ofcourse this one has more dps and int, but the +healing on the mace you get from the Q reward is way better (+37) A holy paladin will probably be healing and not DPSing, so the 51+ dps on this weapon is actually useless for a holy paladin.
If a holypaladin is gonna go DPS he'll use a 2hander anyway and does more dmg with that.

The ring is fine, though my current rings are better than this for a healing purpose. I haven't even got epic items yet and for me to say that this set isn't that good says alot.

it means that most paladins will never use these items because once they can get this they wouold probably have better items from ZG or AQ bosses instead. it's insane to get the required rep because then the items are useless anyway

as a holy/ret pala i do use LOTS of mana... SoC - jugd, holy shock - ect.

so these items will do really good ;)

This set has been updated. Im trying ot get this ring now as a replacement for the lorekeeper ring ( lvl 48 ). I wil mis the 4 mana regen but will get some more mana, attack power AND health with this. Even 1 point omre of holy damage.

Im a holy paladin and im focussing on the +damage part at the moment.

Having both Strength and Intellect on a ring is incredibly rare. In fact here are all of them that Thott has listed:

ima holy palladin with just a bit of protection, in a good fight i can easily deplete my entire mana bar but i can also replenish it in the fight with sow and judgement of wisdom + greater bow. i would love this ring to help me in my mana regenration and i would love this sword cause a palladin isnt supposed to b just a healer, thats what priests r supposed to do.

I would like to comment on the first comment on this page by Wrage 606, this is not entirely true... Retribution Paladins in fact do need mana and spell damage. Since the patch with paladin talent changes, the retribution line has been differed. Now this line leads to spell damage, preferrably my paladin, who does damage through Seal of Righteousness, with my epics, which happens to be a count of 13, I do 101-110 plus damage on each 300+ weapon attack from Spinal Reaper (drop off of Ragnaros). also my judgement of righteousness does at least 300 damage with sanctity aura and crusader seal. That seems to be pretty dependant on spell damage (which requires mana) doesnt it? So, in conclusion I do believe this set would be good for any retribution or holy paladin, protection paladins would not benefeit from this...

yep im a 40 ret pally and i have nothing that increases mana im starting to go back to my old gear becouse i hate running out of mana when i have to tank becouse our healer is a freaking noob and let the tank die and it sucks when the healer dies becouse he sucks and you have to backup heal but you have no mana lay on hands is a good choice but they get pissed at me and the healer for not healing good when i have no mana though so yes ret pallies need mana.
