For your safety keep in mind that when you kill one vulture, another usually will come to you after, and possibly one after that. I found it out the hard way. I thought I could take one while low on health, and I killed it, but was killed by the add =(

This effect is a god send for classes that thrive on chain pulls such as Warlocks. Whilst it can be annoying for other classes, keep in mind that when a second Vulture comes over to the corpse of the mob you just killed, it's not yet aggroed on to you, so it's quite possible to use an escape technique to get away from your most current kill.

Once the second vulture has come over to the corpse, it will slowly track back to it's original patrol perimeters, and won't bother you so you can go and loot your kill and move on.

But as I said, for my Warlock, this made the quest so much easier, as I just didn't have to move, I just positioned myself so that every time I killed a Vulture, another would come, eventually had to stop because I had run out of things to kill.

It's fairly easy to pull them out of aggro range. When I was questing for these on my hunter I pulled just like I always do, and had no corpse aggro. I didn't realize until later that they had that in common with the lower level buzzards.

Killed 32 Buzzards so far, and only dropped 6. The ratio should be way less than explained. The ratio should be anywhere between 4-7% per mob, and that is way too low for a quest. I'd hate to drop this quest, and dump it over the side.. but experience is experience.

i spent at least 1 hour to collect em all. so i agree with 0.18% drop rate.

As posted above under th "Dropped by" Section you will tell you the drop rate is 5.38& drop rate or something like that, So stop posting like 0.18% or what ever, just because you guys were out of luck you don't have the tell the whole world! Dragon's Call is a 0.18% i have 6 lvl 70s, only 1 dropped for my warrior, now thats just luck.

Edit: 8 kills, 8 talons, This doesnt change the drop rate though!

Took me avout 10 minutes to complete.. killed about 11 of them to get my 8 feathers

this quest didnt take to long... took as long as i thought it would. A good 15-20 minute grind. Alls you gotsta do is find a patch of ehm and start killing ehm in one group you can get 5 they spawn bout 2-5 mins. by the time i was on the last mob three more had alrdy spawned again

Bonestripper Tail Feather is a quest related item - you need to bring 8 of them to complete Trueflight Arrows quest.

Follow to the northeast direction. You should see the huge skeleton by the road. There are multiple Bonestripper Vultures around the area.
There are two problem in this quest - drop chance is terrible and limited mobs, if there are other players working on the quest there will be hot.
You can travel to the north or northwest to search for more Bonestripper Vultures, if others are lazy you could farm feathers at those spots with ease.
