Drop rate seems to get better the more you kill... i ended up getting something closer to 35-40% at best. In addition, you get plenty of unidentified plant parts (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24401) so all in all, not bad.

"Count" Ungula seems to drop one every time, or at least the 2 times I have killed him. Try killing him at least once as he drops a quest as well.

the drop rate on these is just stupid, maybe i just have bad luck but i go like 8 kills before getting one......

I don't mind the drop rate so much, it isn't horrible, but it isn't more than about 25% for me. I really didn't mind it because they're decent EXP, so I'm doing a good grinding/questing combination.

These are now a 100% drop from Marshfang Slicers while you're on the quest. Back at the release of TBC the drop rate was lower, but there were complaints, and it must have been buffed.

"Count" Ungula can also drop one, but his drop rate is not 100%.

How can a 100% drop rate be slower than...anything?

I guess they fixed it since your post. I had absolutely no problems getting drops and yes, I really did get a drop from each kill..

To be a little more helpful...these guys are scattered in all directions around Zabra'Jin.

the only reason it shows like 13% is because they dont drop when you dont have the quest...

its not 12% drop i killed 14marshfangs and get all 10blades

I've killed more than a dozen of these and haven't had my first drop of the blade. It's a horrible drop rate. I think some people just get lucky.

Drop rate seems better in the area between Spawning Glen,Sporeggar, and Quagg Ridge.

I've done this quest twice, first time killed over 50 to get the 10, this time killed 10 got 10.

Marshfang Slicer Blade is a quest related item - you need to collect 10 to complete The Sharpest Blades quest.

Make your way to the northeast of Zabra'jin quest hub and search the area near the lake. Then continue moving to the south (you want to cross the road).
There are mobs all within the areas you can loot Marshfang Slicer Blade from - Marshfang Slicers - drop chance is 100%.
