Disrupt Thier Reinforcements, an early hellfire quest, has you get 8 of these, 2 to destroy each portal with Kingston's primers. As far as I can tell, the only use.

You picked it up for a quest where you need a certain amount in order to destroy portals. But you keep the excess, and as far as I can tell there is no use for it after. I was coming here myself to find out if I should keep it or drop it....and I'm dropping it.

Anyone know what this is used for? It says quest item, but I have completed all the quests in Hellfire Penn. and I still have it. Should I destroy it?

Those are required for Disrupt their reinforcements quest. Need 8 of them.

Im standing if front of this portal, with plenty of demon stones and my primer. but i have no idea how to blow this thing up.

i try using the primers on the runestones, or on places in the portal, but nothing works. and ive tried being all around them as well as in them.

im stumped.

They drop from the Fel Handlers and their pet (nethergaurds) so u get 2 each time, best way to hunt for them

You have to go inside the portal device.

If you stand around it it'll give you an error message.

Go into the arch and try it. it should work here.

Demonic Rune Stone is a quest related item for Disrupt Their Reinforcements (Horde) and Disrupt Their Reinforcements (Ally) quest.

Make your way to the east of Reaver's Fall (Horde) or to the north of Expedition Point (Ally) and you will enter to the area with portals.
Start killing demons around the portal until you collect 4 Demonic Rune Stones After collecting enough runes get walk the portal and click to it so you will destroy it.
