I chose to place these at 60.77. That's an area with few mobs and alot of crystals in a bunch. When you place a Oscillating Frequency a 6000 HP mob has a chance to spawn(around 75%), and you get a debuff and a buff. The debuff tracks the 25 yard range and prevents you from putting another scanner within it, and the buff tracks the 40 yard range. You need 5 buffs, so try to put the scanners in as much of a pentagon like pattern as possible.

How to do Gauging the Resonant Frequency:

accept the quest
go to Singing Ridge
put Oscillating Frequency Scanners on the coordinates below
get hitted by 5x Overlapping Oscillation fields
return the quest

Put the Oscillating Frequency Scanners:
