Do not trust the %, I got it on my second mob, I could've been lucky though, but I'm never lucky so I doubt it.

The drop rates are pretty high I am willing to say 10%. The reason why they are so low here is that alot of people farm these mobs and they aren't on the quest.

As someone already mentioned, some have been very lucky with the drop, myself, i got in on my third kill, so dont belive tat you have to clear the whole piont to get it...and i also dont se any comment about someone having to kill 10-20 to get the key !

For me it tooks around 40 kills .. (checked mob infor at around 36kills - droped few kills after )

If for Tetris it took 10, when we sum up we got 4% drop.. still more comments needed to estimate it correctly

The farming for this key was like hell to me, i killed all the mobs in the drop area who could have droped the key.... and no drop lol, i must have the worse drop luck ever. Quited it for tonight, lets hope i will have better luck tomorrow

30-40 kills and no key so far.

EDIT: Immediately after I posted this, I killed one of the level 70 Eclipsions that patrol on a hawkstrider and he dropped it.

that goes to all the quest items rate (almost)...
it is spoiled cause of people killing the monsters without having the specific quest.

Despite this quest being available at 67 like all the other opening quests in SMV, and Yellow in quest log at 67, It is a hard quest at this level solo, very easy to aggro too many of the tightly packed level 70 mobs at Eclipse point, and the respawn rate is pretty fast.

the key is easy to get just kill then blood elf's in Eclipse point ( to west of Sanctum of the stars)
i killed 3 then i get the key:D and the chest is just right of me... Cool

I got mine off the first kill... the centurion that's right next to the chest. Good thing I looted it before I died. Cause some idiot horde came had gotten like 5 of em away from there when I attacked it. So kind-of needless to say once I looted and got my key then went for the chest I died lol.

lol lucky me

i landed near that chest with the rod (behind the hut). I killed the centurion nearby, which dropped the key ^^. I opened the chest, took the rod, and flew back.... piece of cake :P

killed about 5 of each archmage and centurions and nothing then killed the centurion right next 2 the box and he dropped :D

Just a warning to those that try.. if you run straight to the chest and start farming for the key watch out. They swarm fast.

No sweat if you are scryer it is a nice place to get sunfury signets. So while you get the key you get some signets and gold aswell.

The Coords is right in the post above this.

Beside they seems like they are extremly sensitive to holy dammage. I allmost did crit on 50% on my holy spells

I was kinda looking forward to a grind, but got the key off the second bloodwarder I killed.

It should be noted if you are farming for this key that it is a 0% drop rate until you have picked up the quest: The Rod of Lianthe
