11g48s at 70. These are neutral mobs with that ghostly aura, simply equip the quest item to see them.

Good thing about these spectecles is if you don't turn in the quest you can keep them and kill stuff in town anytime you want. Only trouble is you can't finish third part of quest until you do!

As of this writing, May 15, 2008, this quest is bugged for Hunters. When you send your pet in to fight, it will attack once and then stop. I contacted a GM and he said it's a known issue that will be addressed in a future update. The only thing you can do is create a /petattack macro and spam that constantly.

I'm Demonology spec Warlock, I just kept spamming the attack button like rnoahp mentioned he did with his hunter pet. Seems like you wouldn't be able to use pets at all, as they're not wearing the spectrecles, how do they know anything is there? It's funny because my Felguard seems so confused.

Confirmed still bugged as of this date/patch. As BM hunter i used intimidation and spammed attack on the mob till it got to about 75% health then started attacking myself, would usually pull the aggro around 5-10% and would just melee kill from there. Annoying, but do-able.

Strangely this quest while bugged is probably perfect for Hunters learning to kite. Makes execellent training ground practice

After reading the post about all the drops, i was excited to farm this. All i got was a couple of grays. Lots of Netherweave though - 3 stacks in about an hour, so the quest is certainly worthwhile. I didn't turn it in right away and came back the next day - Same thing.

The ghosts have a multicolor mist around them, you can farm forever.

Does anyone know if it's a bug that keeps the Spectrecles in your inventory even after you finish the quest?

Ok so I am on this quest and I was a little bored so I kept killing them, in the next two hours I received one blue, 8 greens, 55g (not including vendoring) and 12 stacks of cloth. Does anyone know if I can continue to kill these guys after I hand in the quest? I dont want to take any chances as these guys are a great way for me to make some money and good exp in a short time due to how easy they can be killed. Oh and btw, just kill all the guys in the keep, they respawn really fast so by the time the place is cleared there back again.

Funniest quest so far, others without the goggles on can't see what you're fighting with. A guy asked why I were beating the **** out of the mailbox :D

I just got off with a GM, i lost my head gear after equipping the spectrecles and they say it is a known issue but can't verify the loss so just too bad. I had a scout's hood with two blue gems socketed :(
This is so not worth the XP, you have been warned, equip at your own risk.

I am so very glad I read the forum and decided to continue grinding after I reached my quest level - I was just getting bored with no decent drops and thought to give it away when An EPIC dropped for me - The Night Watchman ! First Epic for me in TBC and one I can actually use - I am so pleased - Also three greens with AH value of 53g 4stacks of netherweave plus all the silver :)
Have had many people say funny things to me about why am I fighting "nothing"!

This is a great quest, no chance of gankers or multiple pulls, great for weapon training. If you like cloth, loads of drops, should be a blue quest :)

absolutely love this quest. impossible to get ganked, awesome to just grind on past the given 12 kills. and a blue and 6 greens dropped for me. <3

Unfortunately, hunter pets cannot see them... I have to just keep running sideways in circles to kill them -_-

All spirits are inside main Horde city
Wear Spectrecles and you can see them, all yellow non agro until engaged

Dont even leave the village hit tab and your target one you can do this quest in about 5 mintues

I found the pet will attack once, so you can utilize the pet by simply giving the attack command repeatedly.

they are in shadowmoon village, roamin around like villagers, postbox etc.

Descrizione

I call them "Spectrecles." Clever, no? When you equip these goggles, you will be able to see the spirits of Shadowmoon Valley.

Before I let you have them, though, you must promise me that you will help us clear out the ghosts at the village.

Take the goggles and destroy any and all spirits that you see wandering about Shadowmoon Village. Hopefully, destroying these spirits will force any that remain to move elsewhere.
