This is one of the funniest quests so far progressing into Outlands. You are required to summon a fel hound (provided) and kill a boar. Then the fel hound eats it and poopies on the ground and you click on it to find the key. Got mine on the first try.

Later you get a debuffed "Stinky; You smell funny." which gives you a green smoke cloud around you.

Tip: The Hound will eat pigs killed by other players if you walk him over to the corpses. Save some time.

Did this quest with someone else, I was lucky and got the key quickly, but his hound took so long that at some point bugged and didn't want to move.I guess he got stuffed! :)

(On a side note, what's this?? I mean, did we come to Outlands to be hound babysitters?! We're heroes! Hehe, either way was quite amusing :p)

LoL.. I am not gonna complete this quest and will keep that Fel Hound Whistle. So cool to have a new pet to follow you around :P...and this one eats dead boars and poops. And the poop has junk that u can sell, even if its only a few copper worth :)

What is more funny, blizzard creating quests like this (Nagrand Cherries, anyone?) or, us writing comments on how 'hard' these quests are?

That being said, I checked 16 poop piles to find the keys.

Maybe it's a bug, but you don't even have to use the whistle. Kite the boars near the camp, and the guard felhounds will eat and... Well, no need to use the whistle. Further, if you're a skinner, start skinning just as the felhound begins to eat. Not only do you get a chance at the quest objective, you also get the leather.

The boards dont dissappear after hound is done eating and are still skinable.
Dont have to target the NPC just use the whistle by him.
U can start to kill boar but buff (stinky) needs to be off when its killed. Hound will eat but will not poo.

I got stomped on a few times by a Fel Reaver while doing this quest. When i rez'd and was running back to resummon my Hound and aggro'd a boar. Killed it in the camp.... the Hounds there will it the corpse too, and will also poop. This is where i got my keys.

This works no matter who kills the boar, or where in Hellfire the boar is located. Non-DPS can complete this quest pretty quickly by summoning the hound, then kiting boars from the north into Thrallmar.

How to get the key in one try (99% sure)
It looks like the quest is even funnier than one would think, because you get faulty information from Foreman Razelcraz. The thing is that the Fel Guard Hound you get, is not the hound that has the key - though it will drop because I guess Blizzard had to add a drop-rate.

Here's my trick, that has worked three times now.

Get the quest, and summon your Fel Guard Hound with the whistle you get.
Kite a Deranged Helboar back to where Foreman Razelcraz is standing, and kill the Helboar next to the Fel Guard Hound standing within the fence, to the north.
The hound will eat the dead boar and poo.
The key is in the poo.

This has now worked three out of three trys for me. Good luck.

Using the trinket Figurine - Ruby Serpent caused the felhound to despawn. I would guess this will also happen with any of the other trinkets that summon an animal like that one does. Took a few times for me to figure out what was happening!

Use Felhound Whistle to summon your Fel Guard Hound companion.
Kill nearby Deranged Helboar with Fel Guard Hound summoned.
Fel Guard Hound casts Create Poodad on fresh boar corpses.
Opening Felhound Poo casts Stanky debuff which does is give your character a green "stench" aura for 1 minute.
You have aprox. 20% chance to loot Shredder Keys from poo.
Good luck with this funniest quest!

I had to kill 15! I was in to the crap for so long that I felt sick in the middle of the quest!
When I was looted the poop and I didnt get any key, I knew, that I had to loot them again!
I mean, even the Fel Reaver was walking away from me too fast today! Talking about a funny smell!

I think this quest is a reference to the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. In the movie, dog eats car keys and two guys have to walk him around and wait till he poops. And then "loot" the keys from the pile :D

Very funny quest, no doubt. I got the keys from the fourth kill or so.

There is a Fel hound there near Razelcraz named Dagz. You think that's a reference to the Guy Ritchie movie "Snatch!"?

wow. a quest where you have to dig through poo. nice, creative stuff eh blizzard 3 good stuff. basically, blow the whistle so the felhound is summoned, and kill some helboars, right next to where you got the quest. the felhound will then go up to the corpse and poo. yep. and you right click on the poo, and your char will get down on its knees and dig through it /cheer
unique, fun quest. took 5 boars and 5 pieces of poo to search through-before i found my key. lol at the debuff >.<

How long is this felhound supposed to run after me without suddenly disappearing? He keeps despawning right after I killed my 2nd or 3rd mob, just before he's supposed to leave his crap. Is it a bug or am I really supposed to run back to Foreman Razelcraz every time I've killed 2 or 3 boars..?

--edited-- Never mind. I found out what the problem is..

The felhound despawns whenever you'll use a figurine you made with the jewelcrafting profession.
So don't use your selfmade trinkets when you're on this quest, unless you want to run back to Foreman Razelcraz all the time!

I must be REALLY lucky, it only took me only 4 kills to get it, lol my Gf saw me when i stank from the poo and she laughed her head off, Hellboars that you need a bit south of there, when the hellboar dies take your minion to it and it'll eat, after it has eaten it drops poo which you search

I picked up the first quest 'cause I was farming fel iron and five free ore is kinda spiffy. Then I got here and giggled at the Gone in 60 Seconds reference. I nearly lawl'd at the "stanky" debuff. It wasn't even "stinky," it was "stanky." Awesome. Blizzard really had fun with the expansion. :)

(And I told my hubby, who was sitting next to me on his hunter alt. He smiled and shook his head, but I knew he wanted to laugh!)

One of the most creative/weirdest quests I think Ive ever done!

Pretty simple, blow the whistle while standing beside the quest giver. Go out and kill Deranged Helboars and click the poop. The hellboars are directly to your left from where you get the quest. After you kill them the fel guard will automatically eat them and you can search for the keys. 9800 XP for turning in at level 61.

Lots of them , took 6 kills for key dont forget to blow the wistle like me and take a fel guarde hound, pretty easy no mobs and just the helboar at the area , if you dont have locs open map just left of thrallmar right below the cave

Took me 18 droppings before I got the key (although I made 19 kills...)

If you're a hunter or warlock you *don't* need to leave your pet in the stable (unlike quests like that horde robot one back in 1000 needles)

The Fel Guard Hound will not aggro mobs. I made a kill just as the Fel Reaver showed up on the scene and, while I legged it in the opposite direction, the hound ran directly under the Reaver's legs, sat down, had its meal & dropped a load. Cracked me up laughing - I'd been dodging that thing for hours & this little hound just runs up & craps directly under its next footstep.

By the time the Reaver had got fully clear of the area though (mebe a minute?), I ran up to see hound's deposit disappear just as I reached it. So don't kill too many at once or you'll loose your shizz.

While it wasn't particularly exciting, after some of the quests I'd been doing previously it was the most relaxing 9800xp (at lvl 59) I'd got in a fair while & 4g is always nice. Plus it's a good one for us skinner/leatherworker combos too - lets us stock up on knothide shortly after reaching outlands, while still getting quest xp at the same time.

PS. The "level attained" on this page is definitely incorrect - dunno when you actually can attain it, but considering I just did it at 59 it's definitely prior to 60.

I have to agree - this is my all time favorite quest. XD

It should be noted that although you can only do this once, if you kill a boar near one of the hounds by Razelcraz, it will dine on it and leave you another present. Sadly, you can't sift through this poo, but...

To complete this quest you need to search for the Shredder Keys in the Fel Guard Hound's "leavings."

First of all, you need to summon a felhunter using provided Felhound Whistle - this only can be used while near the quest giver.
Hunt for felboars that are roaming around the quest giver (mostly to the west), summoned felhunter will eat them and leave some poo.
Finally, click to a pile of poo to search for Shredder Keys. The chance to find isnt 100% so you may need to hunt for multiple felboars.

I finally got my shredder working but I seem to have lost the keys. I keep a pack of felhounds to protect my camp. They don't do a very good job and they like to bite me a lot. They also like shiny things. I think this one felhound I have may have eaten my shredder keys. I'll pay you if you'll take my felhound on a walk. Kill some helboars and let him eat. He'll do his business. When he's done, see if you can't find the keys in his "leavings."
