I had a really low drop rate and glowing blood was extremely annoying because I'm a rogue but they're all over the place near Umbrafen lake.

Yea, around the Lake, I'd say it's a fairly low drop rate - be prepared for a long grind. I've gotten 1/8 in 6 mobs atm.

I found about 6 of them at around 67,60 they are Umbraglow Stingers so their drop rate is around 25-27%

It seemed that about every 4-5 kills I would get 1 Diaphanous Wing.... I grinded around 72.69 and 69.60.... Good luck and I hope the drop rate is better for you!

i did this smoothly til i got to 6x, then i killed 22x before getting 1, that was rl pain in the ass, but anyway, its all about luck... -.-

Had somewhat better drop off Marshlight Bleeders around the southern part of Marshlight Lake. They also cast a debuff that prevents stealth, but more importantly - increase spell casting time by 20% and all damage output - by 10%, for one minute.

I did this along with the quest Stinging the Stingers. Pretty much got about a 75% drop rate finished the quest within 4 kills of finishing the Stinging the Stingers quest.

Seems if you allow the Umbraglow Stingers to poison you, they always drop the wing. FYI

I pretty much had a 75% drop rate also. and I did mine around 69,61

yet another illogical WoW drop rate. You'll get them right away or waste time killing like 50 of them without success (ahem, like I have). This would be one to avoid for riper fruit unless you run across the bugs. (all over the place near Cenarian Refuge)

Very good drop rate killing the bleeders around 27,35 took about 12 kills to get 8 wings.

I got 4 off of Marshlight Bleeders within 5 minutes; NE corner of Marshlight Lake.

Good drop rate from Umbraglow Stingers.

Start with the one in Cenarion Refuge, 78.66, near Juno Dufrain, and work your way south towards Umbrafen Village.

10050 XP at level 60.
2 gold and 70 silver.
250 rep with Darkspear Trolls.

The bugs are few and far between and drop rate is mediocre. The best way to do this quest is to kill any bug you come across while traveling or completing other quests in Zang.

Somebody else posted a quest list like this for Hellfire peninsula and i found it one of the most helpful things ever. Personally had best luck with the "Marshlight Bleeder" variety around location 15,44...

40,36 - 37% rate - 30 kills and 8 wings. At first I killed 10 bugs to get first wing. After that drop rate is increased

70,62 Unbraglow Stinger's(Level 60 NPC's) drop the wings. Good drop rate plus they drop "Unidentified Plant Parts" for the quest "Plants of Zangermarch"

had to kill like 20 to get the first 7, then about 10 to get the last one. overall, not a bad drop rate, but the bugs are all spread out.

To complete this quest you need to bring 12 Diaphanous Wings to Magasha in Swamprat Post.

Make your way back to the Cenarion Refuge. Keep moving farer to the south and you should spot multiple Umbraglow Stingers along your path.
You can now just move around the Umbrafen Lake killing mobs and collect Diaphanous Wings - drop chance is medium.

I bet if they knew they were wearing bug parts, the fashion trend would end very quickly.

We first started killing the bugs 'round here 'cause they were getting in the way of our construction. Some enterprising merchant stops here, spends the night, and next thing you know he's buyin' up all the bug wings we have!

Says he makes clothes out of 'em. I be stickin' to my armor, thanks. But if you gather the wings of any of the fireflies, I'll gladly buy 'em.
