umm....that cooldown is incredibly usefull if your a good hunter. One in pvp, when a hunter sends its pet after you, or warlock, FD gets it off you, the more times you can quickly get it off you the better. Two, during fights with large groups of mobs you may pull, FD back up shoot and acciently shoot something that isnt held by someone else, the sooner you can FD the better. Also in that same situation you could over aggro off a warrior and have to FD again. Its usefull in the right situations..

I dont know what you guys are complainging about it give amazing stats for a hunter neck piece.

You get this when you reach friendly with the Zandalar Tribe faction (zg faction). At friendly you get the green one called Maelstrom's tendril at exalted this one is the reward (somewhat like the AV trinket)

Feign death is one of the most useful and versatile abilities in game, which can be used to drop aggro, set traps, shoot wyvern sting, etc. I agree that -2 secs to the cooldown isn't an amazing bonus to have, but if more items of the sort were introduced, let's say up to -5 or -10 secs, I would consider them extremely useful.

Someone commented as to why you would want to feign death more often than 30 secs in an instance, just don't steal the aggro. Often, if I ran DM without a mage, I am responsible for a good part of AOE damage. I usually wait for the warrior to round up the mobs, then drop an explosive trap, feign death, then volley. This often gets me a crapload of aggro which I have a hard time getting rid of. A shorter FD cooldown would save the healer mana that he would spend on healing me, so he could perhaps do some AOEs of his own, or even mana up quicker for a faster run.

Not to mention, this is invaluable in PvP, where if I waste my FD by accident by not noticing a DoT on myself or simply trapping the wrong guy, I get a second chance before being stomped out by a warrior.

This item is not rolled on, and does not drop from any mob. It is awarded to you for reaching a certain level of faction with the Zandalar tribe.
At every new Zandalar faction level you, are eligible to receive a new amulet from an NPC on Yojamba island. The better your faction, the better the amulet:
Friendly: Uncommon amulet
Honored: Rare amulet
Revered: Better Rare amulet
Exlated: Epic amulet

ZG loot have excellent stats and bonuses... BUT when the the heck will you get revered/exalted?

it wouldn't hurt to use this since u can also set an explosive trap fake and set another one and fake and set another one when u are playing with a crapy aoe party

1/ don't say revered/exalted in same sentence. They are a world a part. Revered is doable, Exalted take resources and twice more time. (21k more rep needed)

2/ don't EVER look at something at face value. Have you compared this necklace to:

- darkmoon necklace
- Onyxia's Tooth

or even other high end necklaces?

THIS SUCKS! Full stop. Unless you are in green/blue gear and love epix, this simply sucks.

If you have the whole tier 1 set you still could use the trinket and the neckless for the awesome set bonus (2 items gives 20 AP)

or if you don't have the tier 1 shoulders, get the shoulders of this set, etc

I have Eskandar's Collar and I'm gonna use this whenever i get exalted, the stats aren't bad and the FD cooldown decrease is great. Will be able to max out dps more with less aggro.

Lore! You can never get enough of it can you? Well i'm gonna post a little bit of lore about each of these ZG neck items for those who care. The Maelstrom is this giant whirlpool you see if you check your world map in the middle of the screen. It was created when the Well of Eternity, the source of all the magic in the world, went boom a the night elves stopped Sargeras from destroying Azeroth

imo they should replace the passive on this to: restores X mana every Y seconds.. that'd help a lot more than 2 secs off FD.. which would only really be viable in PvP or PvE if you're getting swamped and FD gets resisted

All these new hunter things seem to have useless passives and use skills... Ghey, i mean i guess i can see how useful feint can be in the 5/10/20/40 man raid when ur MT holds aggro and u by chance aggro a monster... no... nvm its not useful.

The trinket doesn't suck? Come again?

Two best pieces of the set are the neck piece and shoulders (you even pick up some AP in the bargain). Not bad, but again, it's not near as good as GS. But it's ZG, so it's not supposed to be.

The rest of the set is crappy compared to BS, even, or the crit gear from DM. And the set bonuses don't make it half worthwhile to wear them anyway.

And the trinket . . . please explain to me how a trinket that clears the cooldown on a few abilities that have a cooldown of maybe 10 secs max (for aimed shot) is anything but Teh Suck. Admittedly, Volley is 1 min, but it's also channeled . . . I am hard pressed to think of any situation in which I need a second volley right away. Or ever.

I really don't understand why you would take that trinket over +48 ranged AP or +2% crit. Both of which are more obtainable anyway.

ever think of the new death combo? Aimed+multi+auto would be replaced with Aimed+multi+auto+multi+arcane+auto (depending on your weapon speed). This would be an amazing way to frontload damage and you would act like a trinket mage, able to kill pretty much anyone from range when that cooldown is ready.
