The MP5 on this and the Zandalar bracers means I will be keeping them for a LONG time. I even put the +30AP enchant from ZG on these, and they are better than T-1 by far. By using the shoulders and bracers, you also get the (2) set bonus of +20AP, making this an incredible combination, and not easily replaced.

I can't say how disappointed I am with the hunter zg items! If you're 'arcane specced', as someone posted earlier, then they are unique in stats. But really, how may of use arcane shot over aimed shot 90% of the time anyway?
It's not just the shoulders, it's all of them.
I've been in ZG for nearly 4 months and the only item I've used is the ZSA... for a short while.

In 1.11 the arcane damage is being changed to 4 mana regeneration per 5 seconds

These shoulders combined with Maelstrom's Wrath give you a 20ATP 2-piece set bonus, and 2 seconds off your FD. 2 seconds might not seem much but when you are a high damage hunter you will appreciate it. Overall you get better raid stats with this then with Giantstalker and any pre bwl neck item. Unless maybe if you have 8/8GS.

Mana regen on a hunter isn't stupid. Fiegn drinking brings your dps output to 0. therefore to have enough mana regen to have a pot when you need it, increases your dps like you wouldn't believe. The math is out there, and it's been proven. I have a friend who used these shoulders before 2.5. he dropped tier 1-2 for these exact shoulders. Hunter dps math gets complicated, but you MUST factor in fiegn drinking or mana to your dps math. Your math is going to be inaccurate otherwise.

Actually the +dmg is really nice, in high end instances if you have 80% of mana after each pull you are a freakign n00b that only use auto shot. In a full MC run, i have to drink 25-30 crystal water

The stats on the shoulders are decent. It's good for the guild that can run ZG, but lacks the numbers for MC. The +arcane damage ability is worthless. I don't use arcane shot for anything important. For both PvP and PvE boss fights it's far too mana inefficient for the damage it does. It doesn't scale with your weapon, or your armor. Any effect that increases acrane damage is simply wasting a usefull buff. I'd even take + to hit over this, because while + to hit is also kinda worthless (I'm at 8% now), it's less worthless than this.

Its not just arcane shot, a hunters volley is also arcane damage. You do the math.

For the arcane dmg, does it increase aimed shot dmg? I doubt it but I could be wrong.

It does not look cool, and it sucks. If you are able to get this then you are probably able to get GS shoulders which are 1000 times better.

As far as I know, the arcane damage is being replaced by manaregen in 1.11

You're all retarded. Stop looking at the point filler "bonus" and pay attention to the stats. These shoulders are superior to GS in every way. You gain int and sta, and only lose 2 agi, some spirit and 7 shadow resist. That is more than made up for by the 2-piece bonus which can be gained by using Renataki's trinket. That's a net gain of 16 AP, 1 stamina and 6 int over GS.

Why does a hunter need increased arcane spells and effect dmg ? Only our arcane shot gets stronger right ?

Daggerwolf that was some good counting but what gear do you have? 187 dmg whit arc? i crited 867 on a molten gaint and whit the arcane sht trinket a guildy crited 1500 on diffrent target, so get this armor and the gem(drops in bwl,first boss) and get the addon /armor switch use gem whit the set, feign death change gear again wonder the crits whit them all on =)

No they are not fake u get them from a quest in Zul´Gurub its apart of the new 5 piece set the arcane thing kinda sux but if u combine them whit the rest of the set your arcane no longer will crit for 400 we are talking dubble=)

Volly and Arcane shot are both arcane damage, still, a rather gimp bonus.
