I just did this as a 63 Holy paladin, regular gear.
I found it ridiculously easy, I even aggroed 4 of them and managed to survive, without using pots/bubble/lay on hands...
Note that theese mobs have a heal, but it's barely noticeable, it's a rejuvenation spell but you hardly notice and difference in their hitpoints.

As noted before, the rewards are pretty good since you can socket them.

To unlock this quest with Lauranna, you need to first complete Ikeyen's quest (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9747). The chief fellow is at the top of the building to the Southmost of the Umbrafen village.

The mobs inside the cave are ideal for grinding , with low health , high density , small aggro range and low attack.

75.91 thats the entrance of the cave there both in there for me the lurker's where a little bit less but after clearing the whole cave i finished it

You gain rep with the Sporeloks for each mob you kill in the cave, you lose rep with the Sporeloks killing things in the Dead Mire.

Is there any point to this reputation?

does anyone know to how to get this quest? i've done the plant quest but when i talk to her again i dont see the quest Saving the Sporeloks...can anyone help?

For the question, is there any point to sporeggan reputation?

Tip: Get Sporeggan Reputation up to Friendly and get the quest "Now That We Are Friends" from Gzhun'tt at 19,50. This quest is to kill Naga and you'll get both Sporeggan and Cenarion Expedition reputation. *

You will get Sporegar reputation for every marsh elemental that you kill while doing this quest. Be careful not to kill the Sporeloks! **

Pre req was Umbrafen Village quest from Ikeyen, whihc I did at level 60.

Than I got;
Safeguarding The Watchers from windcaller Blackhoof.
Saving The Sporeloks from Lauranna Thatr'well.
A Damp, Dark Place from Ikeyen.

Al three are next to each other at Cenarion Expedition. 80.64.

Did all three in the Funggor Cavern. Entrance at 74.91.

Box was at 70.97.

Lord Klaq was at 72.94.

Made level 61 while in here.

Each kill gave 15 reputation with the Spore.

10,050 XP at level 61. 2 gold and 70 silver. 250 rep with Cenarion Expedition.

What's up with that?

First we get a shirt for burning down the fel orc camp. Then we get one for killing the Drillmaster. Then we get this one. All within 3 levels. And none of them are significantly better than the others. One has more spirit, the other more +damage and the third has gem slots.

And then there are the shoulder armor. We get one for clearing Ramparts and one for killing giants out in the crystal field and geez if a boss in Ramparts doesn't drop some cloth shoulders as well.

What gives? I don't need three of each.

Cannot really understand this cloth quest reward.
On Hellfire Peninsula you get this
Drill the Drillmaster now a chest where you have to spend money in gems to get the stats of a reward of a lower quest... :P

Quest became available to me at level 60, after I took received quest A Damp, Dark Place from guy next to her, Ikeyen. That was only after finishing his quest The Umbrafen Tribe.

Haven't done either yet. But sounds like both are in same cave. ?

To complete this quest you need to slay 10 Marsh Dredgers and 10 Marsh Lurkers.

Follow the road to the south and keep moving until the path splits. Turn to the west and move a little then turn to the south and search the area south of the road.
There is a small lake and a path to a cave should be. Follow the path up, you can spot some quest mobs outside the cave, but most of them inside.

Ikeyen's been telling me stories about what happened to him down in those caves and I think it's just awful!

You know, maybe we should do something to help out those poor sporeloks. Ikeyen says that they live there in the Funggor Cavern, but that the marsh beasts have recently invaded.

Why don't you go down there and see if you can clear some of those marsh beasts out? It's just to the southwest.
